  • Sorry for sounding rude but from what I heard, the name chicken 65 came to be because the cook or chef would wait for 65 days to use the chicken after being killed so it is at its maximum potential for tenderness. That was the story being passed around in Tamil Nadu.

  • chef you are amazing. its 2 am in the morning here in the US and i cant stop but watching your videos.

  • Chef, could I use dried curry leaves instead if I don't have fresh ones?

    Thank You

  • Yes, you can. But in doing so you might compromise with the taste of the dish.

  • @manojsai99 talking about all talking and no taste.. check this guys video on mom's chicken curry... annoying as crap... Vahchef is actually from andhra but the way he explains clearly shows his skills.. And if u say there is no taste in his recipe it depends on the one who makes it.. I have tried all his dishes and they are good.. its just that u are still in india and u depend a lot on others to cook for u than to move ur lazy ass and make some dish... lazy moron... get well soon...

  • @manojsai99 First thing.. chicken 65 is not a hyderabadi dish.. You dont have to be an expert cook to comment on a youtube video about cooking.. What ever this dish is, its not chicken 65. You are a senseless moron and have no clues about cooking skills and you have no right to comment me on my skills with coffee or tea. All I can say is that you are some cocky little creature with no clues about chicken 65. Never said Vah chef is the best. His chicken 65 recipe comes real close to the actual 1

  • so what was the name of this dish when it was menu at no. 65?

  • I do not agree to many of the facts mentioned here and some of the ingredients.. Check out Vahchef's chicken 65.. thats the actual chicken 65 in the south.. No one add Yogurt mix.. it completely spoils the taste.

Second flaw is that you should pick dark meat instead of white meat.. meaning, choose chicken thighs over chicken breast..

Adding flour to yogurt? Cant imagine.. Chef.. i think you gotta name this dish something else and not chicken 65 and this is no way an authentic hyderabadi dish.!

  • i made it yesterday n had this thing in my mind that ill cook it for 4 persons, for me n my husband n rest for our neighbour anty. when i was done n tasted it.. as soon i did i mind changes :p i ate half of it rite away and the rest kept for dinner :) hahahahaha it was amazin.

tankyou sooo much for such an amazin recipe

  • this dish was perfect till you ruined it by adding the coconut lol

  • hi i am from hyderabad i want to know from which chef told u to put coconut and curd in this recipee

  • hi i think hyderabad chefs dont put coconut in the chicken 65 this will change the taste entirely

  • The recipe is so awesome and easy thanks chef! but its red colored in Hyderabad and lot of chilles are also used in the sauce or baghaaar or garishing.

  • If you want it less spicy, you can reduce the quantity of chillies and then try it. Do let us know how it turns out to be.

  • @1980malika when you see the chicken less bubbly it probably means that its cooked, and also when they make tapping noises if you tab the frying chicken pieces .. they are lovely and crispy then.
