their is a ssb tx freq pot near the front of radio for ssb tx adjust it will say tx freq near it on the board.

HI, CAN ANYONE TELL ME HOW TO ADJUST FREQUENCIE ON MY TRC-451? INSTEAD OF SAY...27.385..I HAVE 27.384 ON SSB AND AM. IF I ADJUST AM FREQUENCIE...WILL THAT ADJUST SSB FREQUENCIE AS WELL? ANY HELP WOULD BE APPRECIATED! I DO NOT EVEN KNOW WHAT INVOLVES TUNING SO TRANSMIT IS ON FREQU.

The 451, Cobra 146GTL, and the Sears Roadtalker model 663,38100050 are all the same radio inside. All of them are good talkers and have a great receiver. Th NB/ANL in the Cobra 146GTL really works great!!

I have a TRC-451 mint in the box, very nice looking classic radios with the wood grain and chrome, lovely radios.

I like the TRC-450 as well with the 8719 PLL chip, they look just like the 451.

I have a couple of them as well.

Will someday get around to getting the MOD installed in one.

I have a Realistic TRC-451 and always will if I can help it. I have had several AM/SSB radios Grant XL, President Washington (original version), Cobra-142GTL, Browning Baron, Courier, Fannon, and a couple others and the TRC-451 is hands down the best of the bunch, I have received reports of sounding at the top of the Ham radio rigs and the receive is also the best with a low noise level. I use an old non amplified Turner RK-56 and have talked skip non amplified from my S-10 several times.
