  • I never hear anything about them songs like Honeyspider, I would have thought that that would have been a hit

  • one of his best songs stunningly beatifulgives me chills

  • I remember reading about this song in Rolling Stone when they were working on Adore. I think Rick Rubin was helping them, but then it didn't come out till Machina II and Rick Rubin was nowhere to be found. Amazing Song!

  • @Sincerelyiris The version on Machina II is not the Adore version, no one has ever heard it! And I'm not talking about the acoustic demo. If anybody finds it, please let me know! Beautiful song, could have been huge, and still is to me.

  • @aoeria. Oh wow! That's pretty cool. I wonder if it will be released one day! It would be great to hear some Adore rarities. That's honestly one of my favorite albums of theirs. It's just untouchable. Flawless.

  • stardust distortion.

  • Nice artwork! :)

  • Smashing Pumpkins are amazing!!

Someone say the dates of the tour 2011 of smashing pumkins? I'm from spain, i love Smashing Pumpkins but never i can see they live.

    Awesome song

    Greetings!!

  • @DjDaveDivision Nicole said something about touring in the Fall. But, SP kinda does whatever, so we'll see.

  • I remember hearing this song on the radio. Great track by a band that is probably the last of the great bands of the 90s.

  • This is very Zwan-esque.

  • Still rocking for over 20 years.

  • Just ad-hoc for what i'm living right now... one of the finest song of the smashing...

  • sweeeet song

  • Wow... this is a really great song. I think it would have evened out the mood on Adore but then it wouldn't be as sad. haha.

  • really sweet song but i wish it was released before the original breakup :(

  • this is his machina era voice and sound

  • Song would be perfect for Adore >:[

  • raping the replay button.

  • why billy didn't slap this badboy on M/TMOG and release it as a single will forever be beyond me.

  • @xtelemasterx good point :P

  • Machina II is freaking awesome. Love it.

  • this is such an amazing song

imagine billy leaving this off adore so insane!

they told him 24 hour rotation when the rec company heard it but he was like dont fit haha so cool

  • The Smashing Pumpkins have so much under apreacaited music.

  • @babydick626 yah like......well everything after adore

hey at least oceania is getting some love

  • Never heard this song before. This is really good! It has to be from Machina.

  • Another great SP song, yet another reminder, the old Pumpkins smashes the new.

  • love this song so much.

  • man this song is so close to my heart

  • last name soliliquoy

jesus, if this song had been released a few years later, and possibly by some faggot like john mayer, it would be a top 10 song of the year

  • @gauchebag billy corgon was just too prolific of a song writer--

and maybe that's what did him in. he never enough time between great songs to allow people to absorb the excellence and thus people didn't pay attention to most of the songs

  • @gauchebag john mayer went out with jennifer aniston how could he be a fag.i think what you meant to say was he's a douchebag.

  • I love smashing pumpkins

the best band in the universe

my dream is to meet Billy, D'arcy, james and jimmy :D

  • hi folks! i wanna make remixes of smashing. where are originaly tracks from applications, or MIDIs?????????

  • how come all the songs on machina II have that weird fuzzy noise over them

  • because they are mostly unmastered demos.

  • they're not unmastered demo's, they were never officially released, Billy just sent vinyl CD's of Machina II to some people in the SP community and told them to put it on the internet for free, and not everyone used good equipment to get the songs off the vinyl so not all the files have the greatest quality. Some sound pretty decent though, you just gotta check out all the available download sources, some have better quality than others.

  • i want to give the world to someone. i like the smashing pumpkins because they are so romantic and i like his mind frame i am sure the woman he is with is happy. i totaly get him i am a romantic too.

  • I agree completely =)

  • mouarf, that is a B-side of Adore ;)

you can find it on MAchina II

  • wrong lyrics!!! love this songgg

  • I just copied and pasted them without checking when I uploaded this. You're right, they were pretty mangled. Cheers for the heads up!

  • good chamberlain the best

  • they so great! mellon collie is the best rock album ever made! this is so lovely!

  • this is on machina II not MCIS.

it was written for adore but never made the record

  • yeah but this is not from mellon collie this is from machina II

  • un temòn

  • This is such a fantastic song, however I wish it had been written in the Mellon Collie era and been put on that album.

I think this because, call me crazy if you like, I think the perfect arrangement would have been with slightly heavier guitars and vocals by both D'arcy AND Billy.

Also, don't you think the Mellon Collie picture in this vid just suits the song so well?

  • this song is great. let me give the world to you my love!

  • muy buen tema, merecia video...

  • anyone knows the exact link to the guitar chords of this song????? pleaase post them if you do :D

  • It's just standard chords in E Major (E-C#minor-B-A in the verse) but with open E and B strings on top. It may also be tuned down, don't remember. The chorus has some F#minor's, just play around and you'll get it.

  • Anybody actually know where I can hear the storytellers version? Someone put the commentary up, but not the song

  • Comment removed

  • Machina II :]

  • Comment removed

  • @nzifini I do know it's on machina II but this was one of the 50 tracks that could of appeared on mellon collie, would rather have this in place of 'tales of scorched earth'

  • i love you smashing pumpkins ..

    dedicated to RBP

    I MISS YOU ...

  • didnt rick rubin produce this song?

  • yup!

  • yup!

  • yes it was, but the version that Rick Rubin produced hasn't been released yet. or maybe never will since Billy wasn't too happy the way the album was going with his direction.

  • Oh ok, thanks.

I really think Butch Vig understand's Billy's music alot more than Rubin. Don't get me wrong, Rubin is a genius, but I just feel like Vig has/had a serious connection to Billy's music.

  • your welcome!

i totally agree on the Butch Vig point. I think Flood also knew what Billy wanted sound wise and songwise.

Rick Rubin is better suited for other bands.

  • Rick Rubin hasn't produced an album that wasn't considered a total sell-out for the band he was working with (other than Metallica, somewhat, because they have enough status to stand their own ground) in roughly 10 years. Weezer's Red Album was downhill from Make Believe (debatably), Linkin Park's Minutes to Midnight was definitely downhill from Meteora, and Death Magnetic really only looked good because it followed St Anger. Rick Rubin should hang it up before people catch on imo.

  • No I think Rick Rubin has produced good albums but then again the producer shouldnt matter, the muscian should. And I thought the Red album was really good. The Greatest Man That Ever Lived and Angel and The One are amazing songs. Rubin produced RHCP's BSSM, One Hot Minute, By The Way, Californication and Stadium Arcadium. All of those albums are amazing.

  • i hardly think most would consider "deloused in the comatorium" anything near a "total sell-out."

  • What album is this from?

    It's a really good song

  • Originally intended for "Adore", but didn't make it. It can be found on "Machina II /The Friends & Enemies of Modern Music".

  • @Raziel1862 Surely, it was intended for Machina? Seeing as it's on Machina II..
