I think that is a bunch of bullshit, much like the claims of those pimping books about the "Law of Attraction'.

There is nothing wrong with positive thinking, the world needs more of it, but there is nothing magical about it, much like there is nothing scientific about this 'law of attraction'.

@bitphr3ak - Oh. I'm not too interested in labels. I don't think anyone's talking science.  I haven't paid much for any Abraham Hicks stuff. I saw the Secret online for free. I've seen dozens of Abraham-Hicks videos on Youtube for free. I liked their stuff, so wanted something more complete, so bought one of their books. I buy books now and then anyway. You don't have to believe in the Law of Attraction if you don't want to. Feeling gratitude seems like a pretty healthy thing to me.

But the truth is it isn't that easy for everyone. It is a ridiculous claim to say that those people want to be oppressed. I'm not sure if that was sarcasm but I'm hoping it was. I do believe in Positive Imagery. I believe in Power of Positive Thinking. I believe in determination and hard work. I believe people should dream and work for those dreams. I just don't believe in fake laws, channeled beings, quacks, fake healers, phony psychics, etc. Do these quacks help anyone? Perhaps they do help some vulnerable folks he need that in their life. Some "law of attraction teachers" got so carried away with this scam, they started writing their own books, LOA journals, DVDs, etc. But the kicker is that some actually went on to say that they would be able to grow back severed limbs with LOA. They started saying that victims of natural disasters and genocide just "brought it on themselves." One well known LOA speaker said she can create "rain" over her garden. This is madness. And, it's offensive to good people experiencing hardnship.

I think Eshter Hicks is running a scam? Can scams help people? For some they may have a placebo effect. Those are the people you see posting positive comments on Youtube and forums. I'm sure that if Esther lost a limb (and I would never wish anyone that) she would be the first to run to the hospital. Limbs don't grow back. As for her watering her garden, why not just bring rain to millions of people dying of thirst in 3rd world countries?

Esther, so far, has said things that I know for a fact to be true. Rain falls on the earth constantly in different places, evenly and uniformly, exactly according to the needs of each environment. Right now, there are 1,800 to 2,500 thunderstorms going on all over the world in different places.

It is shocking that these quacks actually rehash old self help books and make it sound like this is a proven law of Quantum Physics. What's more, they go on to say that "worlds leading scientists" are somehow disclosing this truth. There is NOT one single credible "scientist" in The Secret video. Most are out dated motivational speakers from the 80s. A couple are psychologists, and a few are life coaches (a license you can get in 4 weeks via internet). Book is not only a lie, it's offensive.

They were as ignorant as most of the others :-)The only difference was that they believed without a question that they were 'leaders', and so they were. We do realize the sense of the average person back in those days was certainly less enlightened, especially due to the lack of common science, never the less, the wounds of history have been patched with salt cubes, and it is now that the cleansing process is taking place.
