That S2000 was supercharged. An M3 is a full second faster in a straight line than the S2000. Check out Japanese Best Motoring videos and the S2000 cannot even put up a fight around Tsukuba circuit with the M3 in every video. M3 > S2000 any day.

@SpeedKlz that was the CSL version of the m3. the s2k actually manages faster times at the tsukuba track, but in your defense the s2000 is a full second slower in the 1/4 mile race against an e46 M3. That i can agree with.

when you little kids have enough money to buy both toys and know the specs in side out, then talk. other wise go back to school, learn your english grammer and how to spell right. s2000 at mid range would of pulled that m3 easy, at 3-4k rpm the m3 would of pulled up but by then the speed of the s2k has already pummled to its peak, vtek smoked the m3 at that short dash. now had they done the long dash, the ///m would of took it. These cars have almost identical performance specs (0-60 & 1/4 mile). But let's not forget the M3 at least 9 years old now, probably more. The fact that a car BMW released here in the mid 90's still has the performance to hang with the latest/best performing car Honda has to offer is impressive. Both of these are great cars. I drive an Integra GSR BTW, not an M3 (yet ;) ).

I'm in the states, where the NSX is tagged as an Acura. The S2000 is the best performing car with a Honda badge on it here. The NSX is a fantastic car. But it's outdated, and outperformed by cars costing well under half the price now.

First: M3's are slow? Yet they are under 5 seconds 0-60, run 12.. second 1/4m, and still have insane top end?

2nd: Too heavy yet they weigh 3300-3400lbs and with a few easy mods u can get them to 3000? Coupe even 3,400 is light

3rd: Loads of torque? WTF are u talkin about they have 333hp and only 240+ of torque. Yet they beat 400hp & 400 torque GTO's, and more. I love s2k's but when somebody is talkin out of their a** they need to be corrected

im not being a dick, but the e36 isnt under 5 seconds 0-60. and the euro spec has the 320bhp, but all american e36's which destroy the 42 model, but the american e36 has only 250 bhp and 236 tq and yea its 3400, and im a car guy i love the m3 and s2k, im just throwen out some info. the euro e36 is the same engine powoer as the american e42 just lighter and better handling. but the m3 is a fuycking champ hands down
