The new ones have a small crown image on the side whereas the older ones don't have this. The new ones are available in white and various colours. Hope this helps.
The light blue sets have to stay together don't mix them with the darker blue. sorry I have OCD and if you guys mix them I won't be able to sleep so promise me you won't...!

@Gum0169 yes, the green batteries are AAA size, but the blue ones are AA size.

i think they just took the green and blue batteries from the Tones edition and slapped them in a package like the one you're showing us.
