Hey mate, not exactly sure what you mean?

In terms of sounds, the only thing generated by the map is wind and natural ambience.

Every gun sounds and explosion is from a real event, so if there were no players on the map, it would be silent.

I still don't get it, but on YT BC2 sounds far more natural than in the actual game,... so weird.

Pretty cool to listen to the sounds on their own. Best sound in a game ever imo. It's like the audio equivalent of reaching photorealism in graphics. When playing BFBC2 I always turn my headphones up to a volume that's almost uncomfortable, to get absorbed in the game even more.

For those who don't know already: there is a 'war tapes' setting in the audio options to make the game sound even louder by letting the sounds distort. Sounds pretty cool.

I remember the first time I accidentally ended up in an empty map on multiplayer, I was struck by the deathly silence, only sound was wind and trees and such, never realised the background gunfire wasn't artificial and actually was the sound of other players

Although I always play BC2 on the surround, and I know that it has one of the best audio in games, I'm still amazed by this audio.

Next time I play this I'm gonna just walk around my team-mates and listen to the beauty of explosions.

Really, there's something magic about listening to warfare without any video.

@punkrules45 Yeah, I also have headphones which I sometimes use (when mom comes home, she hates loud XD), and you are kind of more aware of sounds around you, but what I like about home cinema system is that you can put it really loud without it being annoying.

At least for me, not for the neighbours of course.

Yeah except ARMA2's default sounds are VERY badly done and unrealistic imho.. because the engine isnt designed for realistic sound like BC2's.

there are however some really good soundmods available..
