  • THIS IS AMAZING

  • two greats together!

  • I don't know why, but the thought of Opera being derived from country makes me laugh...

  • Look at CB hat, too funny.. and little purple boots...she was the greatest comdedian of all time, no one can compare........brilliant.......

  • i never get sick of this video, so funny!!

  • She has an amazing cackle!! Love them!

  • the last song Ms. Andrews sings is not from Phantom of the Opera but a beautiful soprano aria from the opera "La Boheme" called Quando me'n vo'

  • Carol Burnett

  • LOVE IT!

  • "Oh, I LOVE what you've done with your sewer!"

  • In Nashville in the 70s, before SNL was on the air, our NBC affiliate showed old horror movies on Saturday nights, like most towns did. Our "horror host" was named Sir Cecil Creape--The Phantom of the Opry. I would guess the ladies were unaware. :)

  • "and she didn' like my woo-woo's"XD

  • Woo Woo! I wish they'd do another special together!

  • Julie+Carol+POTO=WINNING :D

  • Her voice just BLOOMS in the higher register. I wonder if she had chosen to sing some opera, she might have been quite the successful one in that arena as well. I heard there was talk of her doing The Merry Widow with Domingo. I wish she had done it! Her High As are to DIE for! such raw beauty and spin of the sound!

  • Amazing!!!!!!!!!!!!!!)))))))))))))))

  • What I love most in this, is when Julie sings at the top of her lungs at the end. She had hell of a soprano voice ! it was so damn gorgeous !

  • i love the way julie says sewers

  • What year was this? I love the mention of Mamas Rap

  • I am literally dying of laughter. I love how they incorporated Musetta's Waltz, I didn't see that coming.

  • AMAZING!!!! <3

  • its amazing how good carol is at playing mean but is so nice and kind-hearted in real life

  • I love what you've done with your sower!

  • What was this from?

  • classic carol & Juile. whenever they worked together it was magic. this brings back so many wonderful memories of their brilliance as versatile performers. The carol burnett show was one of my favorite shows as a kid and its unfortunate we don't have tv that is anywhere near this calibur today.

  • how old was julie at this time? she looks kinda 40ish(I mean she always looks younger than she actually is ---- she was in her early 30s when she was in the Sound of Music.).

  • @berryzoa Julie Andrews is 54 during this...she looks amazing!

  • I love this movie, this is one of my favourite parts.

    They are hilarious.

Every time I hear the "woo woo" song, I go around singing "WOO WOO" and everyone stares at me funny.

  • Oh, ok thank you! Wow, where did you get the clips from? (If you don't mind me asking.) Wow, it's a shame they only have it on VHS, but I'll still buy it anyway! Thank you so much!

  • This is so amazing...gotta love both of em'. However, is there absolutely anyway to get a copy of this nowadays. Like is it part of a performance or something? • GET OUT OF MY SPOTLIGHT!!

    OMG...Julie Andrew is the best...

  • Oh, god, the kicker: when Julie Andrews mouthes "get out of my spotlight". XDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDD

  • wow, i actually knew that rent it`s ispired on puccini`s la boheme, but i have not heard la boheme before, so i thought that it was strange that it sounded like "your eyes". thanks for the information.

  • when was this filmed?

  • In 1989

  • Woo Woo! And then Julie Andrews mouthing "Get out of my spotlight!" at the end. lol!

  • i've never seen rent i heard it's awsum thought

  • this is funny [how old is it]?

  • It's from 1989.

  • i think this was on some tony awards, but i wanted to coment something, did you noticed that the introduction song to this parody and th final song are very similar to "Your eyes" from Rent?

  • The song that she ends up singing (and the intro) are actually both Musetta's Waltz, from the opera La Boheme. Rent is based on La Boheme, and they did indeed use this theme for inspiration for some of the music.

  • wow, i actually knew that rent it`s ispired on puccini`s la boheme, but i have not heard la boheme before, so i thought that it was strange that it sounded like "your eyes". thanks for the information.

  • That's why during "La Vie Boheme," Mark says: "And Roger will attempt to write a bittersweet, evocative song... [Roger plays "Musetta's Waltz" opening chords]... that doesn't remind us of Musetta's Waltz."

  • oh em gee

    that's hilarious

    i love them two

    and together, it's even better!

  • Two great stars together! I love it! It's wonderful! Woo-woo!

  • woo woo! are you in there? it so rox!

  • LMBO!!!!!! I simply adore this video. "is my nose shiny?" "well half of it is, yes" *dies from laughing too hard*

  • This is great!

  • Two INCREDIBLY talented performers... Hilarious! :o)

  • now you go an practise those woo woos!

  • "AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHH oooh!!!!!!
