  • Question: I have a problem with the fan on the right side. I have a basic idea on how to remove etc., but my only question is about the tape it is using. When replacing it, will I need a special tape as it has now or can I just replace it and not worry about some special tape?

  • @sgal88 - You usually can reuse the tape. If not, you can use anti-static tape strips to replace them. The strips are available from our website.

  • @PowerbookMedic Do you need a tape?

  • @sgal88 - Using the tape is recommended.

  • @sgal88 What does that tape do besides hold down the wires?

  • That music is so gentle and calming. I think I can do this!!!

  • BE CAREFUL WITH THE LOGIC BOARD!!!!!!!!!!!!

DO NOT FORCE ANYTHING, I BROKE A COMPONENT OFF THE BOARD BECAUSE I AM AN IDIOT!!!!!! BE CAREFUL!!!!!!

  • @yetanotherfakeemail ;)) what did you breaked? did the service center helped you repair it?

  • i thin mine is jus a loose conection cause it turned on two days ago

  • @gaiahelper101 - It is almost impossible to have a "loose connection" with these connectors.

  • THAT was gently?! lol

  • do I need to remove my fans to clean them? All i want to do is clean the dust out from the inside...

  • @SewardsLesson - You could just take off the top case and used compressed air to blow them out. However, removing them is just a small step beyond that.

  • i did this on my macbook pro 15 1.83ghz and now when i turn it on i can hear it go on but the screens stays dark/off. PLEASE HELP...did i disconnect something?

  • @applelphone i got the same problem, did you fixed it?

  • Thank you! I removed my left fan about a month or so ago.. The video really gave me the confidence to fix my own problems and not overpay the apple store for things I can do myself..... Great!

  • Thanks alot!

  • Thanks I bought My left side fan from your company. It took me about an hour to do it. I found a small bug under the fan. The new fan works great and is quiet.
