  • I haven't seen one of these in probably 20 years.

  • That is the most disgusting vehicle I have ever seen.

  • "my dad was going to get a deal once, next thing i know i'm getting dropped off in a Le Car with a fabric sunroof" - George Castanza

  • Why the automotive industry stopped making cars like this, I will NEVER know!!

  • I owned a 1978 Le Car. It was my favorite car, ever. Huge fabric sunroof. Great rear taillights, and lots of fun to drive. Cost new was $4,000. No a/c, windup windows.

  • @letaub Hey do you remember the 1978 plymouth horizon/ dodge omni? remember those? I Have one and Love It

  • @jakesaintsrow123 absolutely remember those cars.

  • @letaub Oh Cool haha. I Love mine Its still in very good shape and Is still reliable . Its baby blue with no rust Really except a little surface on the passenger side door. was the 78 Horizon a car you looked at back then? I Liked the LE CAR But the horizon was my favorite

  • @jakesaintsrow123 No; loved the Le Car (had owned a Renault 4 in England) so that's all I wanted. Wish I still had my Le Car today.

  • I used to see Alliances frequently, but never a Le Car. I have seen a 4-door in beautiful condition by my job, but that's it.

  • The Renault 5 was introduced to the US in 76 and the first ones had silver bumpers but at some point in 77 They changed the name to Renault Le Car even thought it still had the Renault 5 GTL badge on the rear hatch, Renault thought it would help sales by adding this witty name and it DID! for a while anyways
