Me too! I understand Soraya's attitude because she feels threatened by Maria's existence--because Soraya was with Luis Fernando first, then Maria comes along.

But Penelope is a husband-snatcher! She knows Luis Fernando is married but she still tries to steal it from Maria.

I never watched Philippine drama but I read about Rosalinda and Marimar versions, they seem to have more complicated and absured stories, which I like.

BTW I never got to watch the whole telenovela and I was wondering, do Maria or Soraya meet Penelope after she gets arrested and sent to prison? for I remember both Maria and Soraya get sent to jail late in the series.

yeah! like in Marimar Philippines...at the end they discovered that Angelica was also a daughter of Gustavo Aldama to other woman... Angelica and Marimar were half sisters in Phil remake LOL! the remake did well here it was a huge hit though I still like the Original one! Thalia's!

Rosalinda Philippine remake sucks! it was a big Flop! they chose an actress who cannot sing well! Valeria in Philippine remake was so evil (she uses guns! LOL) and never got involved with young men (Beto) and in Philippine version Valeria and Abril were not mother and daughter... Abril was half siter of Rosalinda... abril was alfredos daughter to other woman.

and fedra's character in Rosalinda Philippine remake is as bad as Soraya... :D kinda different twist... I still like the original again... Thalia's! :D

about Penelope... Penelope never met Soraya in any chances... I think They put Penelope's character to fulfill the duties left by Soraya after her accident and recovery... :) Maria encountered Penelope in Prison instead...when Maria was blamed for the death of Nana Calixta...

That sounds interesting, I love evil villianess like Soraya, Fedra's role in MexicanRosalinda wasn't that evil at all.

So tell me, what happens when Maria meets Penelope in prison? does she attack Maria? If there's one thing I like about Drama is the catfights and slapping lol!

Penelope made Maria's life misirable while they're both in prison... she believes that she got all reasons in the world for a revenge for Maria...but she realized that Maria was indeed a kind person when the jail was on fire and maria risked her life just to save Penelope who got trapped inside the burning jail...

Angelica's character also in Philippine version of Marimar was also as bad as Soraya :) they made angelicas character seem to be different from Mexican Angelica...Angelica in philippine version used guns and bomb to make Marimars life and people around her miserable... and the she didn't die because of car accident like in mexican marimar... angelica in phil version died because she fell from a helicopter and was eaten by Philippine Crocodile LOL! AND I FIND IT HILARIOUS!

What happenes to Esperanza during the time she's not with Alissa? you know the part where Soraya terrorizes her and puts spiders in her room. Also who is that creepy vampire villianess who appears near the end of the series? and why does she hate Maria? and why does she poison that little girl? and the doctor and gonzalo who are they?
