  • that looks like a case

  • Nice piece of machinery and great song!

  • Komatsu for life

  • Absolutly no rear or right visability! Komatsu regenerates at 900 degrees cooler!

  • Looks like you'd be looking at a lot of track if you were digging deep

    Great vid tho!

  • That new excavator is suppose to be awesome. went to a gps equipment show and Cat was talking a lot about the new 349. Supposed to be released officially at con-ag. can wait to get to vegas

  • Caterpillar build their mid size excavators in 4 different countries. Same Machines, same components but their set up to ship globally. Don't forget that Cat didn't just start maufacturing excavators... they bought the old mitsubishi excavators plant and branded them as Cat over the years. That's why they have such a big presence in Japan/China. The E series Excavators have to comply with tier 4 emissions so the engines will be quite different than what you guys are used to

  • chris why do they call it a 349 cant they stick with normal numbers like in the past and it kinda looks funny without decals

  • Made in China! I told the salesman " need to sell that son of a bitch in China"He told me " I get told that a lot lately"....In fact, he said "those exact words" funny huh? I have 2 Cats made in Belgium...but somehow it doesn't seem as bad as China?

  • @copperheadmarine

O:54 - see bottom right corner - "Made in USA"

  • @sultanqasim Hmmm? I wonder what made them tell me thier excavators were made in China? Maybe it wasn't working for then so they staryed building them here Hell I know they think they are made in China, from the salesman to the parts guys. I'm going to run by the dealer tomorrow and look at some serial No. tags?

  • @copperheadmarine

CAT does have a factory in China where they produce machines for the Chinese domestic market. The cat excavators sold in the US and CANADA are built in the US. The cat excavators sold in Europe are built in Belgium. The cats sold in many other parts of the world are built in Japan.

The parts come from all over the world. In american CATs, the engines are usually american, an the hydraulics are European (german usually).

  • @copperheadmarine

The main reason of the misconception about them being chinese is because cat's main design center (engineering) for excavators is in Japan.

  • thats amazing

  • did ur company buy that

  • Did you guys buy this?

  • nice

  • chris what song is this

  • @testa375L louisiana saturday night

  • @letsdig18 Yep by Mel McDaniel. ;-)

  • @testa375L s%itty 1

  • SO WHEN DOS 349 and the 395 come in to production chris and is d12 real of fake

  • not even worth starting

  • @cat325ccr why isn't it worth starting? This machine will probably work really well. CAT makes nice machine's, i mean they're a little expensive at time, but the machines are solid.

  • looks pretty damn sweet and why is everyone whining about the pictures being from a different website or something? is it that big of a deal...jeez

  • Good stolen pictures dude, right straight from Lawnsite.com

    Really classy!

  • At least I use my own pics and vids, not other peoples pictures for your video.

  • @cat325ccr I emailed the person who took them junior. go do your homework now

  • @letsdig18 fight!!!

  • Nice, 49 ton I assume?

  • getting one? :D

  • how did you get your hands on a prodotype

  • its by farr the ugliest cat, nice vid btw :)

  • These new machines look like crap if you ask me. Definitely not a design I would buy.

  • @315DL Function > Form.

Its a big life lesson you should learn.

  • its going to be produced soon ,look at the VIN#oo229,must be a small fleet of them being tested at different locations, not just peoria il

  • awsome looks good

  • Sweet new excavator! Im always a little wary of the new stuff though, the old machines are usually a lot simpler and tougher.

    Where'd you find this?

  • Thanks for the headsup. They also unveiled a 336E earlier this year

  • CAT will also be making a 349F excavator.Saw it when I went to a top-secret CAT Proving grounds shop in Peoria 2 1/2 months ago.Counldnt record it,they wouldnt like it.

  • you should have fired it up maby they put a better hydralick pump in it for faster reaction time to what the controles are doing the last 345 i ran was kind of slow

  • oh man i fuckin hate the look of these things! the cab looks nice at least. i mean the 349E doesnt look all to bad but the one that replaced the 330 (forget #) looks like a harvester! and in my opinion the 330 was a very sharp looking machine. but i guess based on the pics it looks like a shorter carbody? and just everything was moved up (as it looks taller to me)

  • What makes that one different than the previous model or the model that it is going to replace? Thanks for the videos!

  • what, bill making you post his photos for him now chris? lol

  • @JimBruce42 who's bill? I just couldn't help but share these pics some more

  • Awsome video not the coolest i've seen!

  • look at all them blind spots!

  • @BradyHill1 not really any more blind spots that any other 45-50 ton excavator

  • @JimBruce42 i was thinking the 345's were a lot lower profile and you could see a little behind you where this one the hood is so tall you can see nothing but the breather out of the back glass, they have a 370 hitachi on a job right down the road that appears to have good vision but i don't think it's quite this big either

  • @BradyHill1 yeah I understand what you mean, Guess i've never really looked out the back all that often, just easier to use the side mirrors. I think it's so much taller cause of all the tier4 emissions crap

  • Whats your opinion?

  • Ive never heard of one of those. Looks pretty sweet i gotta say. So why no stickers?

  • @fox13z400 its a prototype

  • @letsdig18 ahhh i see. I guess it will go into production soon though lol looks like a good machine. Looks smaller then a 345 but probably has more power. Can't be that
