not sure if you remember but what kind of fasteners did you use? silicon bronze or stainless steel? also what gauge did you use? (#14, #16?). I'm getting supplies together for mine, Thanks!
i built 1 last summer based on that design. i used 1/4 inch ply (5mm) and sealed it wit torch on roof felt it worked but was not a perminent boat i just wanted to try it. it cost about 50 euro for the wood
@TuscanchickanSlayer you can use fiberglass cloth strips + epoxy resin (use a 'no-gloss' kind of epoxy). Make sure the epoxy is made for use with fiberglass cloth (some are made to be used alone as adhesives).

I really like the firewood delivery in the background. Foreshadowed the attachment of the bottom. Very artsy. Great boat too - I've sure had fun with mine.
How is the old PDR these days? What lake do you sail on? I've spent some time in both CDA lake and Sprague lake in mine and always on the lookout for more like-minded sailors.
I was really inspired by that! me and my dad started building one 10 weeks ago after watching this video, (were both perfectionists!) and we have put a old 2 hp yamaha engine on it, and its all ship shape, all we need to do now is fiber glass it and paint it, thanks for posting the vid! 5/5!
That's fabulous - anyone who thinks this boat is cool (which I do) should visit splashvision . com, get the design for free and build it, for one of its cousins.
Great movie. I'm in the process of putting the bottom onto a 12' plywood dingy I've been working on over the coarse of a month (weekends only). Good to know I'm not the only one our age doing this.

poopingpenguin1 6 months ago
@poopingpenguin1 You can put a motor on this easily
stick to a lower power motor with this design though. 5hp tops.

Not a bad cover of a split ends song. The lyrics are about the voyage from England to New Zealand on the old sailings ships.

u should put a little moped or lawnmower engine on the back, wont be too hard if u think about it
