  • ONE FLEW OVER THE CUCKOO's NEST!

    is a Must see!

  • What about the Hurt Locker? I thought that movie was the most intense film ever. I think if there was an "Honourable Mentions" section The Hurt Locker should definitely be there without a doubt! :D

  • U MISSED DUMB AND DUMBER, MONTY PYTHON AND THE HOLY GRAIL, BATMAN FOREVER, THE SANDLOT, THE 2 OTHER LORD OF THE RINGS, THE TWO OTHER KARATE KIDS, AND MANY MORE SO UR LIST SUKS!!!!!!!!

  • Don't forget big trouble in little china. I'm 14 and I've seen a lot of old great movies like karate kid shawshank redemption and walk the line and many others but u missed the first terminator it's better than #2.

  • I've seen 16 of those also I don't see rush hour I'm mad.

  • fuck ur list

  • you forgot all the fridays by ice cube

  • you should add ocean's eleven and mr and mrs smih

  • I think BLADE RUNNER and MALCOLM X should be added.

  • weres 8 mile

  • @redskinsfan4life97

    In Michigan, Detroit...

Just kidding - it was a good movie but it was more of a music movie rather than an actual movie and tbh I think the movie was used to promote Eminem over anything else

  • @ChernovFan100 it could have been but it also told his life story

  • its a good collection but you missed a lot of great movies man.. for eg: the doors, shutter island, Dead man walking, i am sam, constantine, casino, blow, 1408 , 8 mile, hide and seek, 23, require for a dream, apha dog, and "once upon a time in America..

  • not agree to youre list

  • AVIATOR sucks...

  • You mean 100 greatest american movies of course!!!! Btw you missed sooo many instead of putting juno or star wars or my cousin vinny...come on....

  • Get Hitch out of the top 100! Where is Alien? Black Hawk Down? Blade Runner? City of God?Do The Right Thing? Gangs of New York? The Good the Bad and The Ugly? Magnolia? Road To Perdition? Interview with the Vampire? 2001:A Space Odyssey? Gattaca? There Will Be Blood? The Pianist? Chinatown? The Shining? Trainspotting? The English Patient? In Bruges? The Prestige?

  • some are my favorite too, the most I recon are boy taste, but thank you!!

  • y do all these movies look so fuckin old

  • @Flash4712 Because there better than todays

  • 3.18 <best movie ever!

  • I reckon its a good list, its all about taste/preference at the end of the day and i think you've done well with your overall choice here, there is always going to be many who dissagree but they need to consider your overall selection.. I also thought that the music was actually quite fitting for such a video because it is neutral and lengthy, i mean what do people expect? a pop song or something?? (no lyrics needed here) a simple backing track is all thats required.. Good job buddy

  • Road To Perdition ?

    The Pianist ?

    A Space Odyssey ?

The Good The Bad The Ugly ?

Once Upon A Time In America ?........

  • shawshank was a good movie and always kept interest but as a film craver i kinda knew what was going to happen which made it kinda like meh. great movie but number 1 still? idk i guess its number 1 because it revolutionized the film industry for directors like horror changed when people saw the excorcist. lol still do not see how ppl could have been so scared of such a goofy movie XD I GUESS WHEN IT CAME TO HORROR BACK THEN PPL HAD MINDS OF 7 YR OLDS WHEN IT CAME TO THAT KINDA STUFF.

  • they are many movies missed

  • the music is shiit

  • Point at a few (subjective) eyesores and say that this person doesn't have taste? The vast majority of these films are amazing.

  • Get rid of Edward Scissorhands, Freedom Writers, Gladiator, Hitch, Independence Day, Jaws, Juno, No Country For Old Men. And whers Fight Club, Magnolia, The Shining, 2001: A Space Odyssey, The Thin Red Line, Days of Heaven, Dog Day Afternoon, Chinatown, The Pianist, Before The Devil Knows Your Dead, Barry Lyndon, Eyes Wide Shut, The English Patient, The Talented Mr. Ripley, Trainspotting, Gattaca, Gangs of New York, The Wind That Shakes The Barley, Scarface,

  • Armageddon? The day after tommorow? Harry Potter? Da Vinci Code? Man on Fire? I think those are really good movies and it should be in this list.

  • @robsten321 What...none of those deserve a spot.

  • @3Axy10Est13 Ok, maybe The day after tommorow and Harry Potter. But Armageddon and Man on fire are quite good so I think it should be on list.

  • faltou inteligencia artificial

  • anything made by M. Night Shayamalan should be banned from these kinds of videos [imo]

  • you need to see Dances with Wolves...

  • lol find the mistake: jun_ ??

  • how is Twelve Monkeys not on here

  • TITANIC SHOULD BE THE FIRST

    LOVE YOU LEONARDO DICAPRIO

  • wheres harry potter omg.

  • Great list

  • v for vendetta definitely should have been on this list

  • @scorpion7334 on a best movies ever made list? No way

  • @tornadomaster96 in case you haven't noticed 3 people agreed with me, i bet you wouldn't know a good movie if it jumped up and slapped in the face

  • @scorpion7334 Someone's cranky... V for Vendetta was a decent movie, maybe even a good one. But it certainly isn't in the top 100 movies EVER. For the record, plenty of truly great movies have slapped me in the face, such as The Bridge on the River Kwai, Dog Day Afternoon, All About Eve etc.

  • @tornadomaster96 while those are good movies, once again 4 people agree with me

  • @scorpion7334 *shrug* so? Sorry but the opinions of 4 random people on the internet wouldn't change mine

  • @tornadomaster96 well than what would change your opinion v for vendetta is better than all the movies you listed, it has a great story and a great cast, which includes Hugo Weaving and Natalie Portman, so it's better than good.

  • @scorpion7334 nothing you say would change my opinion, and vice versa. It has a borderline sloppy story with mostly forgettable characters (other than V). Hugo Weaving and Natalie Portman <<< Al Pacino and John Cazale (Dog Day Afternoon), Alec Guinness and Willam Holden (Bridge on the River Kwai), or Bette Davis, Anne Baxter, Marylin Monroe, George Sanders and so on (All About Eve)

  • @tornadomaster96 whatever, I don't need some guy over the internet to tell me one of my favourite movies sucks. ( and plus dog day afternoon sucked)

  • @scorpion7334 Not saying it sucks or you can't like it. Just saying it's not one of the best movies of all time. No need to attack Dog Day Afternoon, which was basically flawless

  • he is right dude, many of your movie in the list sucked.. some of them sucked more than once..

  • @scorpion7334

No lies: my English teacher's cousin wrote V for Vendetta :)

  • 47 out of 100 in 17 years of life not bad

  • P.S your taste for music is crap

  • Are u an idiot wizard of oz wtf only a few good movies that ive seen next time you make a video dont bother waste man

  • The Searchers and Apollo 13 should have made this list, certainly before Catch Me If You Can and Hitch. Really-Hitch!

  • Theres just 100 movies, most on list are shit... there were few i did like though owell

  • How the hell did Hitch make it in there lmao!!

  • Agree: Crash, Dark Knight, A Few Good Men, Gladiator, Good Will Hunting, It's A Wonderful Life, Letters From Iwo Jima, Rain Man, Saving Private Ryan, Schindler's List, Seven, Terminator 2

Disagree (complete shit): 12 Angry Men, Citizen Kane, Deer Hunter, ET, Full Metal Jacket, Independence Day, Platoon, Wizard of Oz

  • The music in this is one of the most irritating things i have ever heard. I had to mute it and put some other music on.

  • green mile is the best one ever

  • hitch? really?

  • wtf i said the greatest movies ever made not the oldest movies ever made! and most of them arnt any good weres the kinda newer movies like 2003 to 2010...!

  • wow what did you just rip the top 250 off of imdb or what...

you must of because theres no way you like an epic like "platoon" and a piece of emo garbage like juno. im sorry but thats just the truth.

  • @joshuakminer how the fuck is juno emo garbage? if anything it's pro-life, not emo.

  • INCEPTION better be on there now. CITIZEN KANE FTW!!!!!!

  • good list. Obviously there will always be disagreement. I'd definitely put Kramer vs Kramer, The Shining and some others there, and take Hitch, Independence Day and Titanic out. Especially this last one. And YES: TOY STORY. One of the best animated movies ever made. But I loved Up! also.

  • Shitty...ass...list

  • I'm sorry but watch some older movies. Some of the best movies I've seen are not blockbusters or popular. 90's and 2000 lack the geniuses found in old school art.

  • @KicknGuitar true, but old school art is composed of terrible acting. They have the vision, but the acting is monotone and terrible sorry

  • @Toro953 Watch any John Wayne Movies? Or Paul Newman movies?

Ever check out Sergio Leone's work?

I suggest you watch some more flicks, because if you think terrible acting is only in old films, you've got a lot to learn. Both yesterday and today have had their fill of shit actors, directors, writers... What this list lacked was a much wider selection of movies as there seemed to contain mostly movies from the past 25 years.

  • @KicknGuitar You should read properly before you post a reply, I never said new movies were devoid of old acting either. Most movies today have no substance and lack the passion and class that old movies had, but the old movie acting was simply terrible. that is all I'm sayin.

  • @Toro953 You misconstrued my reply. I gave you great actors and a great producer to follow up on. Here's another old school actor, very stage-like performing, but such gold, Howard Kismet.

I only mentioned today and yesterday since you stated "old school art is composed of terrible acting." I never said "new movies were devoid of old acting." Also, "old" acting is not "bad" acting; any acting teacher today will pull techniques from the old school. Classics have great actors too, just like today

  • @KicknGuitar i accidentally said old acting instead of bad acting in my last reply. If you watch casablanca or gone with the wind or any of those movies, all the actors faces are unconvincing and monotone and they say everything too quickly. But ill watch your john waynes as i know he produced some quality stuff

  • @Toro953 It does come down to personal taste. I just think there is legit acting in the older movies. The searchers & True Grit are great John Wayne flicks should you find the time.

If you like spot on acting (as well as production, script etc...) watch a Coen Brothers flick. They've got true class in the current film era.

  • I guess "Hitch" is only on the list in order to provoke nasty comments...

  • Stand by Me Best movie ever!!! but where is mean creek, pay it forward, dead poets society, requiem for a dream ? :/

  • So many good fucking movies forgotten and Forrest gump should be #1 he sucks at rating movies

  • Toy Story?

  • Comment removed

  • pursiut of happiness?

  • But, yeah, nice list. I'm glad T2 and Titanic made it.

But, where was Aliens, arguably the greatest sequel ever made??

  • @LukeLovesRose

I'd say Godfather 2 and Dawn of the Dead (1978) are the best sequels ever made.

  • I'm so relieved that Terminator 3 didn't make your cut. I was ready to shoot myself for being in a world where TERMINATOR 3 made a greatest list of any kind.

  • Midnight express...

  • I am amazed you missed Unbreakable haha I thought for sure you would put it after Sixth Sense. Meh oh well haha

  • This is a nice list. I'mglad you inclluded Memento. I believe many people overlook this movie.

  • Great list, but I do miss Donnie Darko, 12 Monkeys, Bladerunner, The Fifth Element and Brazil. And Adams Äpplen, but I don't expect anyone to know about it. Anyways, it's really difficult to choose from all the great movies that's been made.

  • Donnie Darko???????????????

  • @billtiger21 i totally agree

  • Its your list and your opinion but why is it just american movies ?

Where's Stalker, Solaris, Andrei Rublev , The Seven Samurai, Ran , Persona, The Seventh Seal , 8 1/2, Cinema Paradiso, Downfall, Cache , The Rules of the Game, Metropolis, M, Oldboy, In the Mood for Love , 2046 , The Fifth Element , Dekalog ,A Man Escaped just to name a very few.

  • @andreiclawhammer Because the only good movies are American

  • @MrDude1958 ever seen lock stock and two smoking barrels? snatch? wolf creek? Once were warriors?

  • @FIGJAM276 Yes, all of them

  • I was glad too see Lord of the Rings, but Hitch? Where did that come from? It's not a horrible movie, but it's not one of the greatest movies ever.

  • ok this is a good resource for remembering a lot of fine movies, of cource there are and many more but you can't have them all in a list, so many thanks.

  • OK good list but of course where is Training Day, Where is Man on fire, where is Scarface, Where is Godfather III,

    But I like the list.

  • Fuckin awesome flick bro!

    Cheers!

  • Where the hell is scarface

  • I have also a list of the hundred greatest movies of all time. But I must ask you something.

    1. What is your list based of, about drama, good acting or mindblowing?

    2. Have you really seen all the movies in the world?

    3. Which of these movies are the ten best movies?

  • And also, why isnt Boogie Nights in here?!!!

  • I hate Leonardo DiCaprio except in the movie the departed. He did awesome in that movie, along with Matt Damon (badass) and Mark Wahlberg (Badasser)

  • v for vendetta...

  • old old ass movie

  • deer hunter for sure

  • @IsolatedMurder and taxi driver

  • friday the 13th? and forest gump rules
