I love the new american sedans. They are styled elegantly without cheezy excess. They don't need to compensate for their inadequacy like some of their asian counterparts (sonata with its goofy body lines, genesis with its faux mercedes grill, camry with its smiling grill). I am either buying this or a fusion, might stick to a fusion cause I am a guy.

I'm a Panther platform fan too. This includes the Ford Crown Victoria, Mercury Grand Marquis, Mercury Marauder, and even the Lincoln Towncar, and I'm 18. The best is the Marauder by far, with the 4.6 DOHC V8 from the Mustang Mach 1. Their roomy interiors and classic American V8 in the front, RWD in the back setups have always appealed to me. So no, it's not odd.

Check the facts. Ford quality is tied with Honda and Toyota. We're not in the 70s, 80s, or 90s anymore. Don't be so negative and quick to judge. FYI, I love the Honda Accord and am not a Ford-only fan and bough a Milan because its based on the Mazda6 and mine has the Mazda 2.3 engine and Mazda 5spd auto. And Ford uses some Toyota tech for their hybrid vehicles too...

The Fusion/Milan has more comfortable passenger seats than the Japanese offerings. In the Altima/Accord/etc. front passenger seat it feels like you will slide off the seat and there is no angle adjustment. The Fusion and Milan's front passenger seat is angled better and has a deeper cushion... The back seat is better as well.

I was fortunate enough to take one home last night to try it out, and it was AWESOME!! It had fantastic handling, was VERY speedy, great dash displays / features, and I was averaging 43 mpg!!

2010 Ford Fusion Hybrid: 52 mpg and the darkness before dawn

On a test drive of a Fusion Hybrid last week in West L.A. traffic, I managed, without much trouble, to get 52 mpg in mixed city-highway driving.
