No, I'm sure the writer and producer of this story was threatened with a lawsuit for libel. This was a blatant misrepresentation of facts in order to defame Stephen Harper. You can't compare the Dion attack ads to this because the ads present a complete segment of film, which is self explanatory. The CBC story took one segment of film and juxtaposed it with another, in order to create a different result which didn't convey the true meaning of Harpers speech. This is defamation.
