  • For world sake, Khomeini should have been stopped from reaching Iran. 30 years later, the people of Iran have been humiliated, now Iran, with nuclear power, will humiliate the rest of the world. No religion should rule a country. Islam should not be the Persian religion!

  • Iran's stupidity sealed Carter's defeat & brought the religious right & neocons to power for the next generation. The world would have been far better off had Carter served a 2nd term.

  • stupid iraq... arabs is stupid like always

  • Poor Carter, I think he was 20th Century most underrated president. I feel bad the guy, when he did a lot for his country, and not enough people realize and appreciate it.

  • This story is absolutely astonishing, its like watching a television drama unfold except its better written and real

  • It's too bad Khomeini didn't try that nonsense with President Reagan. Reagan wouldn't have put up with it.

  • @TrojanIIID

Hah! Yeah, if the Iranians tried any funny business with Reagan, he would have stopped secretly selling them arms.

  • Welp, as an American born in 1980's I feel the new age of America is aware of our intrusive foreign policy. It's no wonder we look like hypocritical assholes as we invade the business of other countries, when we should worry about our own. I love my country, but I do not agree with what we have done in the past 50 years. WE need to mind our own business and allow revolutionaries to lead their own wars, not interefere for unknown, greedy reasons.

  • @RayHolly69 Wrong. It's immoral to mind your own business. You should be proud of the Iraqi invasion. Just ask a Kurd. Since you were born in the 80's, you probably don't remember the al-anfal campaign.

  • @ashburnhouse Proud of the Iraqi invasion? You sicken me.

  • @RayHolly69 That's why i beg you! PLEASE VOTE FOR RON PAUL :) <3

  • What kind of an idiot just goes home when shit is going down for real?

  • jihad for khomeini!!!! stupid muthafucking iranis

  • Listening to Bani Sadr complain about the UN is hilarious. Your government (your ayatollah, anyway) allowed an embassy to be stormed and its employees to be tortured and paraded like animals. Griping about violations of international norms after that reminds me of the nihilist in The Big Lebowski who whines "It's not fairrr!"

  • @whoostino The UN is supposed to be neutral. So if Iran wrongs they should condemn them. If Iraq wrongs (which btw was a full scale war so a lot worse than an embassy) they should condemn them too.

  • @aae1234

If you piss off every key member of the UN, you can't wimper "Bu, bu, but it's not FAIR" when they don't come to your defense. We still live in the real world.

Iran sowed the wind by taking over that embassy. The war with Iraq was reaping the whirlwind.

  • @whoostino Iran sowed the wind?? That really is laughable. It was the US who propped up the Shah in the first place which the Iranian people were against. It was the US who took Irans oil for dirt cheap with its puppet in place. It was the US who gave the Shah the powers to suppress the people for years with its brutal secret police. What the hell did they expect a bunch of hotheaded revolutionaries to do? Plus they wanted to gain evidence of all of US's crimes which is why tey did it

  • @aae1234

It wasn't "hotheaded revolutionaries" taking the embassy, it was a calculated decision. Watch the documentary.

And those suffering from Saddam's weapons should hold their own revolutionaries as accountable as anyone. Allowing Bazargan to establish a functional, fairer, post-Shah relationship with the US could have given Iran an edge in the war or avoided it. Instead they, and Khomeini, undermined him with the hostage crisis. Stupid move, but I bet it was fun at the time.

  • @whoostino "those suffering from Saddam's weapons should hold their own revolutionaries as accountable as anyone"? You disgust me! Who says Iran has to suck the US's ass 24/7? The US helped Saddam invade Iran. And your justification for defending the US is that Iran kept a few Americans hostage and got a ton of evidence of their wrongdoings from their embassy? Screw you man, screw you.

  • @aae1234

Well, I didn't know this was going to be an academic debate, but fuck you too.

Everyone helped Saddam invade Iran. Iran, foolishly, trusted a doddering old man to make crucial political and military decisions for them when cooler heads could have prevailed (Bazargan's main concern was the economy, Ahmedinijad opposed the embassy takeover, Khamenei opposed the counterattackon Iraq).

And for all that intel collected at the embassy, nothing on the Iraq invasion? Tsk.

  • @whoostino Exactly everyone helped Saddam to invade Iran where they they had no right to do so. Sure Iran could have responded better but your making it sound like it was Iran's fault. This ALL started thanks to the US placing a dictator in power.

  • @aae1234

Wrong, this all started with Iran putting a theocracy with no respect for diplomatic norms in power.

The Arab World, Europe, USSR and the US had as much "right" to help Saddam (who's regime was being threatened by Khomeni's calls for Shia revolt) as Iran had to take over a foreign country's embassy. Sanctimonious protests to the contrary are not convincing.

A smarter Iran could have prevented hundreds of thousands of Iranian war deaths, more than the Shah ever killed.

  • @whoostino hahahaha man the stupidity of some people like you makes me sad. sigh.

  • @sabrocks881

You're laughing, you're sad, you're tired: choose a fake emotion, idiot!

  • Comment removed

  • @whoostino Were you mad the first time you realized that you are stupid for life?

  • @sabrocks881

Whatever foolish thing you or I do in our lifetimes, it will pale in comparison to Khomeini's stupidity in allowing the US embassy takeover. Hundreds of thousands of dead Iranians paid the price for his vanity.

  • @aae1234

Btw, didn't the UK play an initial role in this?

  • @whoostino Oh and also dont forget the thousands of people who had chemical weapons rained upon them by Saddam later and the UN did jackshit. There are men still suffering in Iran from those weapons which disabled them for life and were against the geneva convention.

  • The US did alert the Bazargan govt that it had intelligence Saddam appeared to be preparing war footing in mid-1979 (when Khomeini called for Iraqi Shiites to rebel). After the hostage crisis, Washington no longer felt like passing along intel.

And why should it have? In taking that embassy, Iran violated the basic norms upon which modern diplomacy depends, all so they could puff up their chest at America a little bit. For hundreds of thousands dead, I hope it was gratifying.

  • @1976jasse Khomeini was a blood thirsty murderer who got to power by making false promises. He subsequently killed, imprisoned and tortured many innocent people, caused the deaths of many others, sponsored terrorism and ruined the economy. So what is there to love about him, you mullah worshiping shit.Change your user id to 1976jackass.

  • America were behind this whole war. America befriended Saddam, and when they didn't need him anymore, they got rid of him; just like they did the Shah and many leaders they put into power around the world. Damn they plan so evil.

  • Wow, Jimmy Carter, to the last, was trying to do his absolute best with saving lives... Respect + 1.

  • @robobrow Yeah he didn't go for the illuminati agenda & told Americans the truth about themselves. Which is something americans don't like to hear. Jimmy Carter had a good heart unfortunately he was in office during a time of events which he really couldn't control.

  • @parininc Uh... the West is also responsible for abolishing slavery, upholding the values of human and civil rights, defeating fascism, and providing the world with some of the most illuminating secrets into the natural world and the sciences.

To say "The West" as a whole is such a ridiculous blanket statement that even you would find silly in retrospect. Don't make such dishonest and, although I do not mean you personal offense, intellectually cowardly statements.

  • @TwilightCodex " abolishing slavery, upholding the values of human and civil rights etc etc"

That might be true to a certain degree. But "the West" (a few western countries) are continuing their colonial mindset through proxies. Just look at arab dictators, or the fact that "the west" is doing jack shit about Bahrain right now.

  • Carter is a disgrace for US, Iran & world.

  • It's not good to use terms like 'the west', as each person on this planet is responsible for their own actions, and so are a nation unto themselves. There is a diversity of moral character within 'the west' just as there is a diversity of moral character anywhere else. As can be seen by numerous protests and books, there is quite a lot of scepticism toward consumerism in the corporatist countries (which include eastern states like India, China, Korea and Japan).

  • somehow im glad khomeni humiliated carter, cause he did the same thing to the shah after betraying him. and also the western gov't are very evil they have a part in all the evil, corruption that goes on around the world.

  • @parininc

Yes, it is possible to make a change with evil forces. He ruined Iran to the best of his ability.

Please get your facts straight before making comments.

  • @parininc You live in America so shut your mouth, otherwise fly to Iran pick up an ak-47 and lets see, jakesh.

  • @parininc Zoroastrian Persians will send the Islamic Iranians back to their arab masters

  • @parininc Mag barr dina arabha / mag barr regime Iran

  • After all this bullshit it turns out Khomeini was 100% Gay and had 12 Man-husbands! In private aids were told to call him Susan, and he was often seen wearing spike heels & pink pantie hose under his robe. Wow, you just never know with these religious idiots?

  • All of this Middle Eastern shit that the US got involved into is so ironic sometimes. If you think about it, Saddam Hussein basically saved the US's diplomatic ass by invading Iran. If Iran didn't need sanctions lifted so badly they probably would've kept those US hostages for much much longer since the US couldn't do shit about it directly.

  • No asshole he was the ruler of Iran. If Khomeini was your leader why didn't u take him to Iraq to commit genocide in your country? And you don't like it if anyone else elects a president for your country?

How do u know who my people are? why do u keep talking about Iraq to me? I didn't comment on Iraq and don't give a fuck about your country. Go punch a wall.

  • America is the best country when it comes to protecting their own interests and people! they will kill, break any law, forget Un just to protect their own men/protect their interest! its sick, but its credible sadly

  • IMAM Komaieni is the MAN ....GOD BLESS HIM.

  • @1976jasse

He's enjoying the fire in hell :)

  • @jessica5666 are u talking about father ??????

  • @jessica5666 are u talking about ur father??????becouse imam Komaieni in haven,GOD BLESS IMAM Komaieni.

  • @1976jasse

That mass murderer devil is paying back for all the crimes he did.

  • @jessica5666 WHO ARE U TALKING ABOUT ????GEORGE W B.

  • @1976jasse

If u don't know who I am talking about, pull your head out of the sand and look up the mass executions and human rights violations Khomeini ordered.

  • @jessica5666 WHY DONT U PULL UR HEAD FROM UR ASS AND LOOK AT WHAT THE AMERICAN'S DOING MASS EXECUTIONE EVERY WHERE...FUCK I HATE'S AMERICAN'S EVERY WHERE .AND IM IRAQI, U GET THAT LOOK WHAT WHAT GOD DOING TO U ....GET THE FUCK OUT OF IRAQ. DEATH TO AMERICA.

  • @1976jasse

Your language and logic says it all. How is my father and Bush and Iraq relevant to what a criminal Khomeini was?

Also if you are Iraqi it is not your business to support a leader in another country.

  • @jessica5666 NO BECAUSE THIS GUY IMAM KHOMEINI IS MY LEADER.AND I LOVE HIM TO DEATH.AND PLEAS TELL UE AMERICAN'S PEOPLE TO LEAVE US ALONE .U AND UR PEOPLE WILL BE IN HELL.

  • @1976jasse It is now well known these days that Khomeini was Gay and had 12 Man-Husbands, some leader you guys had, LOL?

  • @48alfaone can i fuck ur mother and sister by al missyar or aorffi.ur Gay.

  • hahaha, lol, 'he whispered in my ear that the hostagers were free' xD

  • Ah Reagan. The Grim Reaper that killed America.

  • saddam...so stupid to invade Iran

  • Brilliant source of information, great documentary and very unbiasedly presented 5 stars

  • whats happened to that admiral kamal habibolahi??

  • LONG LIVE THE AYATOLLAH KHOMEINI

  • @hunterdownn he is dead man!

  • Now guys invasion to Iran by us is only the solution but atleast we hav to wait for a republic to take charge of oval coz these democratics r pussy! if there was any republic instead of carter nevertheless there would hav been today's situation! Democrats r nt brave enough!!!

  • thank you very much for posting this documentary. superb report from the bbc

  • So america ripped iran off by fortune of 1.7billion plus 20 billion stolen by the royal family. That is a day light robbery, why do these people put their money abroad isnt it better off in their own national banks. I bet the guy at the England bank had a heart attack when he found out that those gold bullion had to come back.

  • @YEELKEED Why are people determined to repeat the nonsense of the royal family "stealing billions"; there is not one iota of documentary evidence supporting that absurd contention. The Shah had approx $20-40 MILLION, based on the evid avail, far less than many average athletes in america make today in a YEAR.

  • @YEELKEED I don't think the Shah has 20 billion. Alot of the royal money was in the Pahlavi foundation. His son the former Crown Prince Reza went bankrupt in 1991 due theft by a dishonest relative. I read the Shah has $ 150 million when he died and Queen Farah got half the rest divided up among the Shah's 5 children.

  • learn to say persian gulf, not arabic asshole

  • khomeineis a fucking fagot and so are all iranians that are hardcore muslims. ur fucking persian. dont lower urselves by hating the west and sucking fat arabian cock for being muslim. the muslims fucked persian a long time ago and made everyone forget the language and would cut anyones tongue off that spoke farsi.

  • @alexperthi; it was not god's will that the american s failed to rescue the hostages, it was the unpreparedness of the military who did not prior experience to do a job under such condition. overall it was a hasty operation put together by a vacillating president who shouldn't have been there in the office. if hostage crisis had occurred during the regan's year the hostages would not have spent 444days in captivity.

  • fuck fuck fuck saddam that piece if shit in hell he shall stay motherfucker

  • i agree but khomeini changed the world in a negative way...for you he was a great hero but for us western and non western people...he was a great tyrant who will be the progenitor of the islamic terrorism that still roams the world and terrorizing people...

  • US and British brought komeini to iran and still they pretend that they haven't supported his revolution!

    politics is so dirty.....

  • It wouldnt have been a success without God's help and why people cant see this is strange. see how the rescue operation of America failed that didnt happend naturally it was God's action.

  • "the man with the biggest balls "

  • Wow, big ups for the Iranian people to stand against the West in a vulnerable time. A strong people indeed.

Great movie by the way. Way to expose U.S. foreign policy, now those chanting DEATH TO AMERICA in the streets of Tehran don't seem so alienated...

  • No mention of how Reagan unselfishly had Carter welcome the hostages home at the airport.

  • Cy Vance should have said (at the 03:05 mark) that Ronald Reagan was going to turn Iran into a glass desert if they didn't deal with Jimmy before 1/20/1980.

  • The same people that hated GW Bush for his war fighting should also be equally pissed at Jimmy Carter for his involvement with Iran and Iraq.

  • Why did Iraq invade exactly? Some historical land claim?

  • he was ordered and backed by the west.

  • Yes, and pigs can fly! Dumbo

  • @MajiC3x

yek kamee sedaayetoon beear payeen aaaantar

  • Sometimes the USA gets its foreign policy wrong. They backed the 'wrong horse' in Iran, but nonetheless Iran should have never held the staff hostage.

Attacking an embassy is a strict no go. In the long run Iran has had more to lose from this action, despite the short term gains at the time.

  • khommeni is and was one of the biggest leaders in the world he is the only one who stood face to face with american goverment and fought the whole world and won khummani you were and are the best may your soul rest in peace

  • jimmy carter had a tough regime,i fancy

  • Carter was a fanciful bullshitter. He would go preach to dictators about how they should be nice to their people and think that inviting opposing forces to the USA to talk nicely with one another would somehow trickle down to their domestic/foreign policy, but he never had the policy to back it up. He is a good man, but probably the most naive president in the history of the office.

  • @danielsimonon, I thought that the most naive was Woodrow Wilson

  • @fritolko22 Oh, there's a long, long list I'm sure. I wasn't alive for Woodrow Wilson. Everything I know about him is from written history. Though I barely remember Carter's presidency (I was 8 when he left office), his foreign policy meddling didn't end with with his presidency and was about as moronic as it was while he had the office.

  • the very fact that IRAN virtually fought against the whole world in the Iran-Iraq war and managed to uphold its position makes me still believe in the Revolution!

  • great remark but could not Iran have done the same thing without a war?

  • what sort of a stupid person..atleast think for a while before posting any comments dude..

IRAN didn't start the war..Saddam Hussein did as he feared the most that his dictatorship is coming to an end..and all the other dictators supported by United Snakes joined him to crush the general awakening of the people..but the fact remains that the Revolution lives on!

  • u certainly don't live in Iran and are not informed much about what's going on there then: Islamic Republic of Iran is a dictatorship itself now, gradually turning into a Khalifate system! how come a dictatorship wants to remove other ones unless to gain total power!? there are pro-Islamic rule clergies in Iran that admit to and confirm what i jsut said as fact btw! now, do u and me know better than those guys about whether the "Revolution lives on!" or not, Islam, war, politics etc?

  • i never said anything about democracy in IRAN..

all i replied to is ur stupidity to indicate that IRAN started any wars in the past 2 centuries..that is what i replied to u moron!

  • never said you said anything about democracy in IRAN, did i?

and why the foul language? did i use such language on you?

Khomeini started the war with Iraq by broadcasting radio messages over the air to *export the revolution* to that country and other places: fact! Saddam wanted to defend his own dictatorship and although a moron himself, he knew it only too well why the Brits, Zionists, America and others established an Islamic Republic (of Iran) in the region to control the flow of oil.

  • lol! IRAN now doesn't give any oil to America or israel..and the Shah used to give loads of it back in his days..i guess u don't know it..

and Khomeini passing on a people's revolution?

its like people adopting Arabic numerals after they were discovered..its a natural course of people..

Everybody wants to overthrow their dictators, the iraqis too deserved freedom..Khomeini wasn't sending any money or weapons to anybody..u can't play on both sides son..

  • u do certainly suffer from some kind of attitude: formerly a commie/hizbollay? still one?

listen mom: if u think Khomieni was an "independent dictator" (if such an entity ever existed in the entire history that is!) and the Islamic Revolution was not a dirty show set up by the Zionists and their international allies, then we have nothing in common to talk about!

to stop freedom and independence in the developing countries, fascism and religion are the best weapons!

  • btw, where is your hejab in the picture girl?

  • stop taking drugs and u will see the world much clearer..

  • funny, i was going to tell you a similar thing: stop using psychologist-prescribed medicine (which is "drugs" anyway!) and you won't be judging things and people so quickly!

you do really suffer from certain issues dear: a bi-hejab Muslim girl who lives in India and defends fanatic Muslim terrorists!

    :)))

    ...

  • @nilo723

the revolution ruined us. left us weak, made a more corrupt government take place that does nothing but make us an enemy of the world.

  • The majority of people voted for Ahmadinejad, according to all independent international polls too, and that says a lot..

There are political differences in every country..Do u think everyone in America voted for Obama? NO! More than 40% voted for McCain but still Obama won and people accepted it..Majority rules!!

  • @nilo723

that's great now that we have an Islamic regime can you please tell me how we have improved economically? oh wait 1000tomans was 14$ right after Khomeini came to power our money dropped to less then 2$. we had allies and the population was educated as never before, new industries were moving in and money was pouring in for the people. do you know why people were pissed off for? because the Shia clergy was sent away. why? because women had more rights, religion was free & not forced.

  • @nilo723

I personally think Ahmadinejad won on the country side of Iran. In the big cities, I believe, he lost, but you have to take into concentration the country side has more people than in the West

  • @TheManurules Indeed..Ahmadinejad's main focus was to provide basic necessities of life to the poor masses, and along with it he was forced to concentrate on the macro aspects of Iranian economy due to the political circumstances around him..

    * Ever since 2003, America was like a red-bull in a china town, ready to go at any country in the middle-east, most probably Iran..

He probably couldn't provide for the needs of the upper-middle class families, and thats why only Tehran went against him..

  • @nilo723

    Iran is a hellhole

  • @EdwardRommel Am sure your home is one..

Thats why you grew up so stupid and ignorant..

  • @nilo723 what did the revolution bring? It put iran back in to the stone ages

  • @addy1231 Stone ages???

Last year Iran became only the 9th country to launch its satellite in space called Omid..

Iran has recently launched its own drones which very few countries have been able to produce..

Iran has one of the highest literacy ratios in the region and highest voter-turnouts around the world..

Iran is ranked 25th in the field of nano-technology..

Thats a hell of a lot development in the past years..Iran's scientific growth is 11 times more then the average rate of world..

  • @nilo723 and how is the normal iranian benefiting from that? Man you cant even refine your own oil. You export it to UAE, and Import it refined. Give me a Break

  • @addy1231 Seems like you are still living in the pre-modern media propaganda ages..

Listen kid, Iran now produces all its gasoline needs and does not import even a single drop..Indeed there was a time when sanctions tried to block down Iran's refining sector, but Iran fought it out and slapped you in the face..

    lolzz

  • @nilo723 wow, and where is the money going? You have a vast oil and gas reserves!

  • @addy1231 Lolz! Seems like you are really a brainwashed person..

The money is being spent judiciously in all sectors..

As i have already stated Iran is running quite fast in science and education, they are a strong military power in the region which deters aggression, they are investing on human capital more than anything else..

The situation in Iran is much better then most other countries in and around the region according to stats..

  • @nilo723 "judiciously spent"...I seriously doubt it.

Go to Transparency International's website and see the CPI..corruption perceptions index...Iran's Govt. is ranked amoung the 10 most corrupt Govts. in the world...along with Iraq, Somalia, Burma.

That country has a culture of corruption and probably has for hundreds of years.

  • @EdwardRommel Well, its not right now..And I seriously doubts CPI's authenticity..

They have given Iran lower points then even Saudi Arabia..And that says it all..Saudi is a monarchy where much of the wealth is legally stolen by the royal family..

Besides, the Iranian President lives a poorer life than the heads of states of Europe and America..His assets are nowhere near them and till date no one has pointed an allegation of corruption on him, although they do call him a nutcase..

  • @nilo723 T.I also ranked Qatar and UAE as low corruption countries and they are autocratic monarchies...Brunei is also ranked as low on corruption...a muslim autocratic monarchy near Indonesia.

So just because a country is an autocratic monarchy like Saudi Arabia does not necessarily mean it is corrupt.

The interesting thing to see will be if now that Sadaam's Iraq is a real democracy with free and open elections that Iraq can move up the list from the bottom and become less corrupt.

  • @EdwardRommel The Sultan of Brunei has over 700 cars in his personal stock..

I think this report is politically motivated..I am sure regarding corruption in Iraq, Qatar and UAE..But surely the Saudi and Brunei kings are might corrupt..And i am very confident that Ahmadinejad's govt is not..

I again say, no candidate in the previous election made corruption allegations on Ahmadinejad..They only targeted him on ineffective economic policies and foreign relations..

  • @nilo723 You maybe confusing "income disparity" with "corruption"...no doubt that the sultan of Brunei does not need 300 cars or 40 wives and house the size of a hotel...but he has inherited that wealth by legal means...same as the Saudis ...who royal family goes back to 1700's....same thing with the Hohenzollerns of Imperial Germany or the Windsors of England....they have lots of money but UK is also ranked as low on the corruption scale

Corruption is more about Govt. officials taking bribes

  • @EdwardRommel Ok then..I can agree that this report does not reflect upon "legalized" corruption..Which means its not credible anyways..In this day and age there is justification for stealing public funds by some supposed royal family..That is pure corruption in itself..

Regardless of this report if you look at the economic indicators in Iran and compare it with India and Saudi, you will know what im talking about..Their govt has made a lot of progress in a short time period..

  • @nilo723 stfu muslim bitch. the shah was leading iran to a bright future. fuck the mullahs

  • @UpTehCooch bright future where your father would come home drunk. after your mother would be getting american "doggy style" up her rear...?????

  • @intifaada1 better then getting stoned and killed for doing petty shit. Iran was the america of the middle east. a free country. except with a dictator, but a good dictator

  • @UpTehCooch

A good dictator? Around 70% of the people were below the poverty line, and he essentially destroyed the Iranian economy by giving oil away for free.

Kazakhstan's dictator's a GOOD dictator. Iran's was just a crap US installed puppet.

  • @intifaada1 Well, your father still can. You think there are no drunks in Iran today? The number of drunks follw the number of unemployed.

  • @UpTehCooch yes the future what americans having now lolzzzzzzzzzz ur dumb ppl laugh at u

  • @nilo723, oh what the fuck ever! You ever heard of 'arms for hostages!? Almost brought down the Reagan presidency! All these 'nut jobs' will tell you about 'Iran facing off against the world', but it was not without original support from the United States and for that matter, the Soviet Union. What ever tale these schemers want to tell you, don't fall for it, its all bogus! After all, you think Al Gore was elected President in 2000, don't ya?!? Get a grip, reality is here! Down with Iran!

  • shah wasn't a god-send, but then again neither was khomeini. it is a fact that Iran was far better off under Shah's regime than the Islamic Republic.

neither khomeini, carter, or the shah were fools or uneducated in politics.

it's just that leaders act in the interests of their own nations and power. this is only natural. "who is better" is only determined by who's methods are less evil, and whose hands have less blood on them.

  • This Shia country has brought pride back to the Islamic world, the revival of the Ummah.

  • What a great leader! It's a shame Khameni isn't like him.

  • Carter was an idiot.

  • Jimmy Carter is the only sane ex-President America has..atleast he is defying the Zionist lobby in the interest of his people..

  • nilo723, he spent his entire presidency protecting zionists from Egypt. Protecting zionists is Carter's highest goal. He should move to Israel

  • @ndyt how would you deal with it

  • @Azamspazam91, help the Palestinians get their land back the Israelis stole from them at gun point.

  • @ndyt have you read peace not apartheid. I'm sure he did the best he could, the best that an american president could at the time.

  • The most important thing ist to assess the results of this so called "revolution" after 30 years. iran has become much poorer, more corrupt, political isolation, nearly 1000,000 iranian were killed in war or were executed, more than 1/2 of iranian are drug addicted or prostitute. nearly 5000,000 iranian fled the country and live abroad. VIVA LA REVOLUTION

  • You also need to understand the reasons behind the coup of 1953 & 1979.

watch?v=TGhbG57_tMk&feature=related Today Total & BP are running Iranian oil industry. Shah was becoming somewhat independent.

  • Funniest thing about this segment is how Carter, Mondale, Gary Sick and the others thought they could DICTATE to BANKERS the release of Rockefeller/Rothschild (i.e. Bank of England)-held cash and *gold bullion* (?!?)...AFTER losing the election to Reagan! Hahahaha...PURE COMEDY....!

  • That obstinate Treasury official who Mondale fired was obeying a more permanent power than the President -- namely, the bankers who OWNED the president. He was probably handsomely rewarded for his loyalty later.

  • These documentaries are all meant to distort the actual history. Why do they keep coming up with newer ones?

Jimmy Carter knows what he did himself.

  • Carter was an employee of the Rockefellers and other powerful bankers, as has been every president since him. Political maturity means understanding the true power in America. Notedly, Brzezinski, who advised Carter on Iran (and WANTED THE SHAH REMOVED) is now advising the latest banker employee, Barack Obama.

  • God bless BBC for this great documentary

  • BBC ESCORTED KHOMEINI INTO POWER. It was called "Ayatollah BBC" in 1979 because it wouldn't let the Shah respond to his critics, who spouted off on the BBC. You are too naive. BBC IS AN ARM OF THE BRITISH MI6, AND ALWAYS HAS BEEN. This documentary and others are being released nowadays because the US/UK wish to recapture Iran away from Russia and China...
