to get the ''Subaru'' sound, you need non equal exhaust header, with just muffler, it is impossible to get the real sound...

did you install the varex muffler yourself or did you take it too the shop? was the wiring hard?

Im in australia also. I have a 2000 impreza gx hatch (2L) and am after the boxer burble sound you have. I've got a cannon exhaust fitted with a 2.5" piping but am getting a loud droning sound rather than the burble. Any advice? Where did u get the headers?

You can get the headers off ebay, roughly $300 AUS, they make all the difference :)

i have also a unequal header and i didn't lost power.I have the original exaust from the wrx and i want to have more sound haha like this, but this exaust isn't verry nice under a impreza wagon

you get the sound of a wrx because of the exhaust...this is no regullar stock exhaust..

this is sport exhaust.
