Beautiful island, BUT crowded touristy crap otherwise.....................­Blue Grotto tour a big rip-off too!! Go to Grotto after about 4:00 PM and swim in off a boat, rocks can be sharp BUT its better than taking the row boats that hold three at best

Yeh, I kind of agree. Great views, but we felt rushed taking the ferry from Amalfi. Blue Grotto? Definitely a waste of time if you are expecting something spectacular. Thanks for your post.

Sure is a great place. We made the video so long ago that I don't remember exactly which of our music tracks we used. I am sure it had "Capri" in the title or we might have used a title with "Mediterranean" in it. Thanks for your posting.

Thanks. Is Capri 10x nicer than the video? Yeh. Is it 10x nicer than other parts of the Amalfi Coast? I don't think so. However the view from Mount Solaro is fantastic like nowhere else in Italy.

You bet it is super touristy ... that's all they have to work with. We like to go in the Spring simply because the air fares are the cheapest just before they change for the Summer crowd. Late March early April have decent weather. While not warm enough for swimming, it is great for touring.

I was in Capri September 2005 and this video brought back some fabulous memories, especially the crazy garden with the life sized model - LOL. Thank you for your video. It is one of the most beautiful places in the world and I would like a little "boredom" as Lorys5 must experience. We're just finishing up another Canadian winter - it was very cold in December/January - we didn't hardly leave the house - now THAT is boring.

When I visited Capri, my favorite part of the island was the Fortina trail along the rocky coast....the most beautiful hike I have ever had (and I did the Pathway to the Gods hike along the coast as well which was nothing compared!) - for some reason, this is a very overlooked part of Capri and is totally stunning!

That trail sounds great. I will look for it the next time in Capri. The boat we took from Amalfi did not leave much time for exploration.

We were on a Swiss bus tour which allowed us to stay for some days in a hotel on Capri.I have never had such a beautiful holiday.They didn't include Capri in a tour the following year, as things probably became too expensive for a tour like that.I think it was Globus.

It is a wonderful place. I was there in about 1965 (the summer immediately before the famous flood in Florence when the Arno burst it's banks and even damaged museums in Florence).I will definitely go back soon.
