Let me tell you a bit of my story that makes me think of the chorus of this song. Yes the rest of the song makes me think of the larger picture but here's a sample.

My mum died and before she died she asked child protection not to let my father take her children back when she was gone. When she died he tried to get themback in court so i had to fight him for my mum but it ended up backfiring and makin my brothers and sisters think i was the bad guy. So the chorus reminds me of how i felt.
