  • To Swizz Beats:

Being a dumbass isn't a gift from God, fuckin lowlife.

  • @lvngdead u haven't heard his beats?

  • to my "OG" producers, i dig what you saying about today producers and Easy Mo Bee even said it his self, you can have all the latest but if your not creative and have a good musical ear, you'll never make good beats/music. Me, i'm a member of the FL Coalition and these new programs can do everything these older machines can do. Everybody got there comfort zone i guess.

  • kids that make beats these days don't start with wax .. they play synthesizers and use soulja boy drums ... shit i love synths but get your hands on some vinyl and discover the SOUL OF MUSIC

  • @mindbocks i dont

  • that's why i just subscribed to you

  • @mindbocks MUCH APPRECIATED ! rate if u can brother

  • Premier basically whipped his dick out and pissed on everybody LOL!

  • apart from producin,rza scratches??

  • KIDS THIS IS THE REAL SHIT

  • i love these dudes but they all fucking rich as fuck no lie. who the fuck is an Mc from a wellfare home broke as fuck and smokes a blunt every other day. and has the fucking money to buy a piano. or a fucking acoustic guitar. i mean yo thats y sometimes i wonder if they even came from a poor neighbor hood

  • hustling i guess;)

  • word is born.

  • Did you even watch the video? They didn't start out with that... They started out by stealing sounds (sampling) using sometimes stolen equipment. But today it's about a thousand times easier to get started man.

  • no shit i watched the video. not all of them were stolen equipment im sure niggas bought equipment. niggas is more broke now then in the 90's. unless your rich idk.

  • you gotta start somewhere, now they all produce shit

  • see Easy Mo Bee is right, I make my beats out of the Garageband and even though its not all expensive, you can till get creative with that muthafucka.. you can manually chop, record, and other shit.. when it comes out the speaker, That Shit KNOCKS.. so if you aint got no money, you can still make beats haha

  • david banner surprised the shit outta me

  • yo does anyone know what the name ,brand, etc. of that vintage keyboard dude was playing at 8:44

  • preemo got lots of swagger in him haha, thought he was a little more humble

  • Great vid. They talk crap about protools but I mean Not everybody has money for an MPC.

  • David banner is alot smarter than his ryhmes

  • yo check him out on some def jam poetry shit, he a genius, real deep verse on that

just search for "david banner def jam" on youtube, deep shit

  • I just did, and all that comes up is David banner in this game called "Def Jam: Fight for NY" I dont know what to do

  • YEA dj premier

  • salaam is sick!!

  • mto foda! brazil is comming... =)

  • Hip hop é um lixo!

  • ahah pro tools

  • Wow that was a great video. Cause for real for real it is all about the production! You can have a banging beat with ass lyrics but you can have a ass beat and banging lyrics. Think about it all the songs that are huge got them beats behind it.

  • Words from the wise, good shit. That's what I've been saying. A good producer can make anyone famous with a line of fly beats. I don't care if he's rappin about captain crunch.

  • yehh swizzy is not hot right now all he's beats are right now is the showtime ad lib , but he has a lot of classics under his belt keep up

  • Swizz was never that good. He was hot as far as popularity and spotlight, but his Casio sound was weak and his new shit is better but not much.

  • Dont sleep EPS Iv Done Hot Shit on It.

  • love this documentary!

  • These catz are sikk! Marly is the man with the illest & dirty(grit) beats! Dr Dre should of been on here....he's been around forever...and that's a long time!

  • I have a SP12, it rocks.

  • haha! swizz beatz thinks he's hot

  • lol swizzy needs to get more creative his beats are all the same

  • thank god for compuetrs. i have all the vintage kits in wav form rather then back in the day having to buy the actual machines.but big up to these producers for real.

  • no heatmakerz? They got some of the hottest sampled beats out there besides the oldschool classics.

  • DJ plays music

    Producer makes music

  • all right wahats the difference between a DJ and a producer

  • you can prouce without ever DJing, using pads and sample packs on programs and keyboards, esentially you never have to touch a turntable.

DJ's use turntables to make a beat by sampling pieces off of records.

  • where's madlib

  • yeahhhh, madlib could kill alot of these producers

  • Dilla was never really known before he died. He was slept on for years as a producer till he died and hiphopfans started saying they loved him.

No ID and 9th Wonder are also missing on this dvd

  • TGhat would depend on who you are and wear you are, HIP-HOPPER here in the D always knew about Jay-D, really since the Stakes is High album(De La Soul)and big radio play from , that Busta joint, YA YA YA YA. RIP

  • yeah true

but in my country most people only knew Jaylib but never really knew J Dilla was behind such classics

  • jdilla was dead when the video was made, it came out this year...i think its march 07

  • No it was already recorded a long time before this was released.

I read somewhere on the net it was already recorded in 2002 if im right.

  • it was 2004 i believe

  • Hiphop/Electro Crunk Hop JointZ -> Myspace(dot)com/potlogicbeats

  • i loved it when david banner talked, he got the exact same phylosophi (i DESTROYED that word i know) as me.

  • Haha, this shit is a joke. No Dilla means this is not 'The Beat Kings'

  • LOL, Dilla was the producers producer.

  • - because whether at home or wherever (to the guy in the video), if you making music thats cool for yourself it dont matter where you are...

  • ok

  • check me out am hot

  • damn where is J Dilla in all this?!

  • this may have come out when he was hospitolized or already passed

  • Unfortunatly real DJs & MCs are a minority...

  • jack ng is gay

  • this is dope

  • Thanks for sharing, I've been waiting for Amazon to deliver my copy of this DVD for 2 weeks, so this is a nice taster!! About time someone made a DVD bout the hip hop producers and djs.
