  • Really great form. One of the best squat videos on Youtube.

  • excellent work, but for the love of god, go get some clamps so you stop rattleling the weights

  • beautiful form!

  • um seriously it is too light he coulda pumped out another 10

  • nice form

  • 10 sets of 10 reps!?! whats your fucking max?

  • Awesome squatting, man. Something to strive for, thanks.

  • I take it you were doing endurance training, clearly.

  • how long have you been lifting?

  • those were solid reps! especially for being your fifth set, damn you a beast son!

  • good form... just lean back on your heels a little more.

  • Yo Thats Was Perfect Form Control and Depth anyways I See Your Doing German Volume Training hows the progress going so far ?

  • those were very low

  • height?

  • whats the deal with the tongue at the end. What u think your the man or something.

  • That is good form. You're always gonna get someone saying bad form on the Internet... you guys need to shut the fuck up.

  • bad form ... not the right hairstyle for that level of strength

  • @tryandlike lmao

  • no need to pause at the bottom.

  • holy ATG batman

  • Sweet. You move that so smooth its like the bars empty. Bet there's a lot more in the tank.

  • refreshing to see someone who knows how to squat.

  • perfect form

  • I'll call it Reps for Haiti.

  • @mclee89 Hahaha I'll support that!

  • It's the gauntlet. Post my max for January, February, and the ides of March. When you see it it's gonna make your stomach lurch. I've been in the Brotherhood of the Iron since the time of my BIRTH.

  • Not!

  • P.S. Thanks for the Challenge.

  • Awesome man, great form!

  • lot of dummies on youtube, toes turned out is a natural movement to allow the knees a proper track. good squat.

  • great form, the people that say otherwise have no clue what they're talking about...the human body naturally is on an angle so why force the feet forward into an awkward, less effective squat? the feet naturally point outward so thats the way to go

  • How the HELL is that bad form? Bunch of nazis out there. all I can say is that's a fucking man. Does what it takes to get that bar up there. More of a man then you form nazis will ever be.

  • Not gonna lie, I clicked this thinking it was yet another vid of some skinny teen 1/4 squatting on a smith machine. But those were legit ATG squats with a pause at the bottom, heels never came off the ground, back was straight, and a fucking 10x10 with 315 to boot. Bravo sir, you're breaking the youtube squatting video stereotype.

  • wow dude, like your partner said its to light, but good job!!!

  • his form looks fine. could go a LITTLE deeper tho

  • @soseg

Deeper? You sound REALLY knowledgeable about training. Are you a pro? Just kidding, u don't know shit.

  • @chadley6916 and what would you know about me? cockhead

a few of his reps look like they were minimally above parallel. thats all

    everything else looked sweet

go be an internet hero elsewhere u fag

  • @soseg

I know by your comment you are a loser! Go pretend you know what you are talking about elsewhere cock breath...

  • @chadley6916 yeah ok, keyboard ninja

  • Great form!! That is how a squat is done...heavy with reps.

  • Looks like high-bar, is this on purpose or do you just go with the high-bar exclusively?? Either way, awesome set.

  • For all the morons on youtube. That is a real squat. Ass to the floor, none of that " well I almost hit 90 degress". And you were doin 10 for 10?? thats fuckin rough

  • Nice squat...gotta be careful when you post on youtube....you'll get a lot of comps, but you'll also get a lot of idiots on here telling you that it's bad to squat to parallel. You VERY RARELY see guys in any gym squatting 315...and if you do see guys squatting heavy, they're usually not squatting anywhere NEAR parallel.

  • 10 sets of 10? Damn. Is this GVT

  • Ridiculously good form with good weight this is a squat well done

  • thank you, finally i come across someone who has good form, this is exactly how i squat, im only repping 205 but have stronger legs than most guys repping 3-4 plates with crap form, great work man, looks so good.

  • dude use that bounce!

  • how many people are talking trash about this guy, it's ridiculous...he literally has picture perfect form - none of these fruitcakes talking about squatting 405 as a freshman go half as low, and could never do 10x10 of 315 with pauses. keep it up.

  • 10 sets of 10 repetitions of low, deep, slow squatting...nobody commenting on the video can do this probably

  • Lol no one here can do anything they say they can, but we got one guy in our school who's 16 like me, and he benchs 315 O.O

  • hey U. YEA U. u reading this right? GET YOUR WEIGHT UP!

  • im 12 and I squat 350,000 kg

  • nice job guy!! btw ppl below me claiming numbers go kill yourself you're lying

  • im a freshman and this is my max haha

  • the jingling of the weights gets me buzzin

  • GREAT !

  • great squatting man nice and deep!

  • excellent control

  • Nice lifts. Way to represent asians too. :D

  • 10 sets of 10?! never heard of anyone doing that that's insane! and great job on getting them way deep!

  • codybarrows your an idiot congrats you can squat 315 but can you for 10x10 jumping weight or keeping 315 and if you can id love to see the video.

  • make a video of it

  • german volume training huh?

  • I don't think you've ever squatted have you? Post a vid, show me how's it's done.

  • @ShamusMcAnus Best form on youtube. Great depth, perfect stance, and very slow reps

  • @ShamusMcAnus You know what's funny is that I'm 21 years old. I could do that when I was 16 years old. I'll do you one better and in March post a vid of a 415 lb squat. But it will be my pleasure.

  • will do

  • I'd like to see that squat video , too.

  • hes just jealous who cares what your feet are like

  • that's an excellent way to position your feet you donkey. If you don't know anything about lifting then shut up.

Nice job man, very solid form, sturdy back!

  • @mclee89 your fuckin stupid bro that was perfect squat form

  • @jaysnarizona no that wasent perfect squat form your feet should be pointed forward not out like a duck other then that it was all good!

  • @KYLEGD2495 You're an idiot. That was as far as I can tell, perfect form. You should point your feet outward.

  • @KYLEGD2495 You are a fool. your feet should be in line with your thighs, otherwise stress on your acl and mcl is greater. but if you are only lifting small weights you can keep your feet straight(i assume you dont lift much) So dont give out bad info and get someone hurt fool.

  • @KYLEGD2495 your an idiot, a complete and utter fool, i want u to go to the gym squat 1 plate a side with ur feet straight, notice how when u push up both your knees cave inward, now i want you to put two platres a side (assuming u can squat that much) notice how your knees stay straight and inline with your hips and feet, notice how two plates was easier than one, NOTICE HOW MUCH BETTER YOUR FUCKING KNEES FEEL,,, DONT TALK SHIT ABOUT SHIT YOU DONT KNOW ASSHOLE

  • @mclee89 you are fucking retarted

  • 5th set of 10 sets of 10 reps???

  • whats so hard to understand he does 10 sets of 10 reps and hes on his 5th set much hard ?????

  • I believe Newbpwng understood what it meant. He's just surprised at such an intense squat workout.

  • where are your collars at? Stupid!

  • konerkoman NEVER look down you can seriously hurt yourself even with something like 100 pounds,i saw rippetoe squats and DEADLIFT VIDEO its bullshit and sad that they teach this technique in schools,i am powerlifter myself and doing it for living for last seven years.and for this guy on video just straight the back otherwise ok

  • Brilliant, did you come up with that yourself?

  • "bouncing reduces muscle tension"

Actually, bouncing off tight hamstrings at the bottom is the antithesis of "reducing" muscle tension.

Rippetoe's squat might be "laughably light" for a 55- year old man, but that doesn't mean he can't coach. Even Tiger Woods listens to Butch Harmon, even though he outdrives him by 150 yards.

Overall your squats are great - nice work.

  • Well as the say, those who can,do, those who can't, teach.

  • and those who can't teach, are gym teachers.

  • Agreed!

  • ok school of rock

  • Nice work. If you look down (instead of straight ahead), you will be able to maximize your hip drive and recruit the posterior chain to explode out of the hole. Don't be afraid to "bounce" out of the bottom, keeping your hamstrings super tight. Check out the book Starting Strength by Mark Rippetoe.

  • Every powerlifter alive will tell you that you are wrong. Never ever look down when you are squatting; it shifts more weight onto the balls of your feet and prevents you from blowing your chest out. Also, you never bounce out of the bottom, bouncing reduces muscle tension out of the hole, and you want muscle tension to be optimized at the bottom of the squat. I've seen this Rippetoe guy, his squat is laughably light. You can listen to the 400 lb squatters, and I'll listen to the 1,000 pounders.

  • props shamus .. looks good .. not fully parallel but amazing

  • dude.. i use to go that low thats gonna eventually give you tendinitus in your knee if your taking anything for it,,,,i ice my shyts all the time to stop inflamation

  • solid. keep goin brah, squat til you puke shit and shit puke.

  • thats beastly, you rarely see ppl go that low anymore

  • thats the way your suppose to do it

  • Yeah....but i just read its like your 5th set of 10. I hate that GVT stuff man absolute killer :)

  • does your chest keep rounding when you reach your lower depths?

  • Do you mean if I lean forward the lower I go?

  • What's your max squat?

  • LOL tags : Squatting Asian

10x10 with 315 is very impressive, nice job

  • Squat so Hard that your Car Keys feel heavy when you walk out to the car park.....

  • great set, man

  • yea, great form

  • Excellent form, very strong. Bravo.

  • Very nice form.

  • Perfect form, you made it look easy.

  • Damn, son. 10x10 with 315 -- and with great depth, to boot. Great stuff, Steve.

  • Perfect execution...this is how it's done people...no "HALF" squatting...i see a lot of the half s a lot at my gym...excellent work. I hope to squat that much some day

  • nice form and no safety bars either.

  • Dude i can do that shit easy.

  • Then why dont you?

  • flaming faggot alert on link818

  • it really isnt that hard

  • yes its hard

  • As the title states "5th set of 10 sets of 10 reps" I can also squat 405, most I've ever squatted was 515 but I choose not to go very heavy because it compromises my form.

  • Just because you can do four plates on the SMITH MACHINE doesn't mean you're strong. I squat 385 for 3 sets of 8. He did 315 as part of his workout with great form. What can you do except beating off to gay porn and bragging online?

  • Link818, shut up please. theres a freshman on our football team that squats 505. sounds unreal, I know, hes a freakin man-beast.

  • yea man actually nice to see decent form! but just lose the belt! whats the point you do not have it tight enough to actually do its job! only thing is try and keep a more lordotic curve

  • lose the belt? maybe he doesnt want to build thicker waist

  • Wow, somebody on YouTube who actually has good technique. Well done.

  • seriously though, good squats dude, massive mark should come and watch

  • yeah right, massive mark would show you how it's done dude, the ginge is awseome,

  • that was really good form man. personally i think the toes were pointed too far out, but there was no lateral movement in the knees so it's all good in the end.

  • ^idiot, toes pointed too far out wtf?

  • Fantastic!

Funnily enough, I squatted 315x10x10 about five weeks ago...just to see if I could do it. I could and did.

Never got sore, either (?). Strange.

  • That is about the best form I have seen on youtube for squats. It was deep and very minimal forward lean. Good quad strength!

  • 10x10 is a killer. you are hardcore!

  • excellent!!!

  • Whats' your 1 rep max or what can you do for a heavy set of 5?!

  • I've never done a 1 rep max. I've done 5 plates for 4 reps but my form wasn't all that great. I like going past parallel without compromising my form, so I usually don't go very heavy.

  • superb form, most guys who say they can lift more would have to half the weight to go that low and keep upright

  • very good lift, plz private message me your leg workout thnx

  • *hips

  • Good deal. You squat the same way I do. One of the things a powerlifter suggested to me is to keep your knees from moving as far forward, which means you have to sit back with the weight more and let your hits and hamstrings take the load.

  • @crisva whoever this powerlifter is message him back and give much thanks, he gave you one of the single best pieces of advice for squatting, you listen to him and ur squat will increase and ur form will be excellent

  • I did 10 sets of 10 reps once I couldnt walk for almost 2 weeks thats a killer routine Ill never do it again 5 ets is enough for me. Thats a lot of strength I did my routine with 225. But i only weight 150. Yea people are sayin its light but when your doing 10 sets of 10 you cant go heavy!

  • 10 sets of 10 with 315lbs? Up the weight if its that easy for you. Good depth and power nonetheless. What is your vertical jump?

  • Yeah, on my leg days I usually spend the rest of the day post-workout curled up on the floor yelling insults at people. But, the results speak for itself.
