good video nice car,, check out nistune, and log the car on the road, and you still have knock sensors, which helps, i run it , 500hp on standard internals, 17000 miles later its still perfect, runs perfect 11.8 to 12.2 air flow ratios, no bore wash no running lean, only problem i ever get is coil packs dieing,, and with 740 injectors it can be a bitch, gtst are wicked, and cheap, why buy an r , um no vvt to play with either,,
hey got my 25 in made 288whp at 8psi with a master power t60. Was a pleasant surprie and was actually leaning out due to defficient fuel pump. Solved that but didnt dyno again. Feels strong wating on new map sensor to raise boost. Wll ee how far i can go with stock injectors. So as ur bov the hks ssqv or the type 2. If its ssqv and just recircing made it sound like that its amazing. Gott pics od the setup
only laggy in first gear, however with street tyres 275 18in semi's, warm em up hard launch :) this thing gave me a few scary 11sec passes. this video was filmed getting on a freeway on ramp, short shift first and yeah a laggy start to 2nd. cheers.
what BOV are you using?? and how much boost did you need to make that much power ? am llookin for a good size to not need @toooooo much boost to make 500ish
@ae86det should the motor be setup correctly you would not be needing more then 25 psi, I believe mine was over 500 by 23psi, was making 400rwhp at 16psi. Bov needs to be high high quality, had had some leak or struggle to stay closed at high boost, hks top bov or turbosmarts' best will be fine. mine is a hks plumback at the moment.
@dchopchop@dchopchop thanks am looking at running the sc6262 billet dbb to not lose too much response but still make good power.
and which valve is the hks plumback am guessing that means recirculated? i have heard of the hks type 2 racing valve (but never seen it in use. and well the world famous ssqv (which i dubbed the GAY BIRD) is yours a type 2 recirculated??
@ae86det yeah recirculated hks bov, sc6262 billet will be very responsive if setup well, the 25 above was running an 86mm housing and was not laggy at all due to the amount of headwork and cams, very angry car.
@dchopchop great to know thanks a lot for the information. and will probably stick with the plan then beacause head work is def not in the budget or much of an option since few places around here know what they are doing. cams are a possibility though. any specific recommendations and with stock valve train and bottom end in good shape can i safely raise the limiter a little?
@ae86det tomei poncams 256 in and out would be ok on standard valve train, look at some cam gears too, hks or tomei. bottom end should be ok, if looked after they are strong. i never reved the 25 over 7500rpm, there was no need.
nice, my rb25 pushing 400 and it does feels quick. 600 should be mental! i love to see rb25 done good, just proves that skyline does not have to be a GTR to be a Skyline.
@deprived777 rb25 3040 modded, forged bottom, big porting, big cams, 100mm front mount, plazaman plenum, and t/b. link ecu. lots more, but good for 600 + hp. Moved on from that one to a 26 in a 32 4 dr, 2530's big cams, big ports, forged, heaps more goodies then the 25. hits big speeds quickly:)
