This new shuffle is not going to be as poplar as the 2nd gen shuffle.

I don't like that new shuffle, how would you use it in your car with a mp3 jack? You can't unless your cord has buttons on it. Maybe third party companies are making adaptors for this. Just from looking at it though, it doesn't look like a smart move to take all the buttons off the unit.
i don't like the new shuffle i personally use my ipod 80% with an aux cable in my car and in my home stereo. but then again thats why i have an ipod touch

They kinda dropped the ball on the new shuffle, there's just too many commands for that little button to handle.
The previous shuffle was damn near perfect, we'll see if they revert back to controls on the actual player for the next gen.

hey i say get your mom the old one. it looks better i got my mom the red one. my opinion its nice and small and right now buttons would be an issue. the new one has it all mapped to the headphones u loose the headphones it wont work. well thats until companies start to support those headphones. but i am sure your dying to play with it i say apple store is your friend. take a look at both. see what u like.

I love how other companies have no shame about copying apple products. The new Sony laptop is copying the keyboard of the macbook. And now Blackberry is ripping off Apples App store. But, that's just a few. There are a lot more.

But the only thing I hate about it is the click screen, just bugs me for some reason.

I guess it's something similar to the new Sony Walkman W-series, in that it also has no display. But headphones are integrated onto the unit itself.

I don't like that new shuffle, how would you use it in your car with a mp3 jack? You can't unless your cord has buttons on it. Maybe third party companies are making adaptors for this. Just from looking at it though, it doesn't look like a smart move to take all the buttons off the unit.
