Sounds like the CB&Q 5 chime that was on Frisco 1522 at Galesburg in 1995. Theres a video showing it.

I'm not sure if a lot of people know this, but there is an effort dedicated to restoring another Nickel Plate Mikado in the form of NKP 624.

587 Should be under steam again by Fall 2010. I've been actively involved in the restoration process, and she is coming along very nicely.

same whistle, over its years of use at ITM the crack that was in it got bigger and bigger and changed the sound.
so when you guys repair it will they use the same whistle that they used or will they get or make a new one?
