the new vaulting apparatus. THe old "horse" was discontinued after these olympics because it was dangerous if an athlete missed there hands for yurchenko vaults. See elise ray's fall in the warm ups of the all around at the games.

OHH I thought they meant they discontinued the half-off-pike out vault.. tho you never see it anymore
