  • just made it today! It was amazing. I used almond extract instead of vanilla. Everyone loved it. Next project - your tomato bisque and grilled cheese sandwich. Yay!

  • oh and would it make any difference if i don't use tartar cream?

  • @yasi3331 To be honest...I don't know because I've never made it without the tartar. I do know, that the cream of tartar stabilizes the egg whites while giving them volume and also increases their tolerance to heat.. If you don't have cream of tartar you can substitute with lemon juice or vinegar in the same amount. :)
