@keemba98 I believe those are called Stick Insects, but I am not sure of the species... Hopefully one of the other views might know and help ID them for us :-) Thanks for checking it out!
OK, I was alright with the spiders 'n' stuff but then can the beetle and then the green flying bug thing (I think it's a locust...? Not sure, I'm not a bug expert) and then cute little scorpions and then huge *** centipedes =_= Scared the heck out of me
the tarantula is SO i wish there is a bug fair which instead of showing bugs getting you bugged every second or a bug fair which there are too many bugs the server LAGS untill BSOD
Yep - a majorly big one! Dunno what species or where it's from though... Could be one of those infamous bird-eating spiders from South America (just guessing) :-O
L.A. is definitely the right place! I don't know which would be worse - the earthquake or all the live insects getting loose and crawling all over the crowd of people trying to excape! XD
There are some really big Centipedes on the left, and what looks like a cross between a scorpion and a spider on the right... Not sure what they are called :-/
@MrFlyers27 the spider-scorpion cross is a vinegaroon a harmless arachnid if you can find one you can make them ur pets but WARNING they smel like vinegar!
That spider is about 8 inches from leg tip to leg tip. Some of the big, heavy-looking bugs shown here are 6-8 inches long, while the really long, thin ones get well over a foot! :-O
wait, tell me if im wrong, when i was little, i thought scorpians are in the insects fammily.... but now, i think its is spider fammily, is that true?????
@jcmegabyte tHAT'S THE MOST RETARDED THING EVER, YOU CAN JUST KILL ONE IN YOUR BACKYARD AND ABVIOUSLY GET IT FOR FREE LOL.... Sorry for caps just didn't feel like redoing it cuz i left caps on :P
Scorpions are actually Arachnids (spider family), not insects (Hexopods)... However, there were lots of things at this insect fair besides insects. This year's fair is this weekend (May 14,15) so if you're near L.A. check it out! :-)
@JCMDIweirdStuff thanks for the information dude :) and i got 2 problems with going to that fair... 1. im terrified of insects :) 2. i live in holland so no way im going all the way to L.A. XD
If they were alive when you got them, it sounds like the scorpions had dinner! XD If not, then I'd be on the lookout for that spider... maybe it wasn't dead after all! :-O
Sure seems like it... but it pales in comparison to the millions of insects people kill every day just because they don't like something about them (i.e ants, roaches, spiders, termites, wasps, etc.) ...definitely sucks being a bug - seems like everything wants to eat them or kill them for some reason!
I wondered that myself... Perhaps it's really a Scorpion shaped like a spider, or, maybe the 5th set of legs are really enlarged palps which resemble legs. Not sure, but it certainly caught my attention too! :-O
I think most collectors would much rather get them from the wild themselves rather than buy them, but since these bugs come from all over the world, most collectors can't afford the time or money to travel to the exotic places to find them :-)
You know who I really feel sorry for is the sister of the kid who bought one of the really big scary-looking bugs to put in her bed XD Anyway, thanks for visiting, and maybe watching a hummingbird or cloud vid might undo the creepiness! :-)
0:07 - 0:09 ooh god...the guy in the background with black T n' jeans..i thought that was an insect...n' the title was like ontop on him "Creep Crawly Bugs" geezzzz~~~
There's something about critters with lots of legs that give most people the creeps - even people who used to handling them can get freaked-out if they are surprised by something crawling on them! :-O
Definitely the insect world can be very alien indeed! Yes, I shot the video, wrote the music and edited/produced the vid myself... Thanks fr watching and the nice comment! =)
Seems like there's a buyer for just about anything you can image... One guy at this show was buying the biggest ugly bug he could find, to put under his brother's pillow... No doubt to get revenge for some practical joke his brother had played on him! XD
Indeed some of the comments are priceless XD Ironically, even avid insect fans often kill-off large numbers of them, be it ants, spiders, roaches or whatever other kind of "undesirable" bug crosses our path or invades our home, so I expect a certain amount of insect hate. Besides, a lot of these comments are intended as humor (but is hard to detect in plain text), so I try not to take the really off-beat ones too seriously. =) Cheers!
I would guess that people who raise and keep these kinds of bugs probably DO have that happen every now and then.. I probably wouldn't like waking up with a scorpion on my face! :-O Yikes! XD
The only thing I was holding was the camera! XD I think the guys handing the spiders knew what they were doing though... at least no one got bitten while *I* was there :-)
I would lick all of them and then put them all in my hair and walk around. And stick one in my mouth then go make out with some random girl and move it to her mouth. Sick? No. You'd be sick not to do that.
