great build.your engine came out really nice.i built a b16 all motor.pushing 194hp to wheel.running buddy club spec 2 cams .crower rods .12.1 je pistons.acl race and rod bearings. aem cam gears.and great tune
@jerzricanboy Nice man, i hope to one day build a b16 as well, and drop it in an Ek. This GSR was built with all stock internals (other than the compression being rasied). it was broken in and dynoed with a modded p28 ecu the past owner gave me.
@Ericnkline100 i build the b16 and dropped it in my 99 gsr.i wish i would of build a b18 because of the torque(more displacement). But im happy with the b16 on highways i chew the b18's. i topped around 181mph .witch is pretty good
and i would really think that a GSR LB with 2 turbs and and a tough lower end with around 15psi id bet you you could get 450+ HP to the wheels no probb
I just baught an 08 silverado with a 4.3 v6 and a couple weeks ago i went to a junkyard and found an old scyclone which had a turbo from the factory so i yanked all of it out and ive got a racecar shop near where i live and the engine im building is basically a SB350 chevy with 2 cylinders chopped off so ive got a bunch of forged pistons and valve springs etc so ima soop it up and hope to get around 400 or more to the rear wheels
@DanceGarrett Deffinitly an idea, For my First Turbo build, i want to go stock (other than new rings and bearings) b20 GSR w/ 11:1 CR and slap a smaller trim turbo on and run low psi (8-12) and try to get 300+hp.
Second turbo build, i wana go straight GSR long block, 8.5:1 CR and slap a huge snail on with a second turbo (k03) to spool the bigger one. Try to do something unique and get 400+hp. But thats gonnna be a while from now. First turbo build should be done by summer 2012
@DanceGarrett I hear ya man, in time though. i want to rebuild this motor and cam the hell out of it while running HIGH compresion (13.5:1 would be sick ;)..) keep in mind though i did this in high school. Deffinitly a budget build
@tigmaster1 Yes i did, These headbolts are NOT torque to yeild. They are able to be used again. And if any problems, Just gives me another reason to take the head off and Go high compression low boost LSVTEC Turbo. :D

how about you put a monsterous bottom end and some badass heads bolts etc and make it a high compession, high boost LSV-Tech Turbo ha

and maybe throw in some 0 gap rings and forged pistons and.... well yeah
