In case you didn't read the description, this was done for a class. OBVIOUSLY, nothing beats the original drawings, but my assignment was to put photographs in a sequence to tell a story. This would prepare us for actual film production courses later on.
Try working with child actors and let me know how your projects turn out! Also, I was a wee freshman at the time :)
But I do appreciate the criticism and compliments! At the end of the day it was a fun assignment! Better than writing papers!
I think this is a case of "If it Ain't Broke, Don't Fix It." It was hard to see what was going on in some of the pictures and the text was hard to read at times. Also, I feel like your version was decided more sullen than the original and so a lot of the sick comedy was lost.
Very well done, my husband is teaching this version of the alphabet to my one year old daughter and... yeah, that's not a good thing. The photography rocked though, and the children you used to fabulously.

Afraid I have to agree, it's the drawings that make it what it is.

Don't get me wrong. You tried your best to translate the lyrics into pictures.
We could discuss about the fitting musical attribution, but Gorey's drawings are irreplacable. Just take Gorey's picture with the N !
No photos can be a match for these drawings. Sorry, but you had no chance.

I loved this video! For those asking the name of the song, it is Gymnopedie I and II by Debussy :)

I love Edward Gorey and GGT is the first I remember of his as a child. This was very funny thank you.
