Oh please. There is plenty of money out there to fund this "big Gov" you speak of. The tax rates under Obama are going to be lower, overall, than Bill Clintons in the 90s, and his were much higher than they are now. We didn't go into a stage of hyperinflation then, nor will we now. Obama will balance the budget, and fund desprately needed social programs. His policies are very near to what Clinton did in the 90s, only more liberal (Better), and Clinton gave us a surplus.

Besides, socialism as a philosophy isn't as bad as its reputation, a reputation which is based mostly on how it has been implemented, not on its ideal. Socialism in its purest form seeks what is best for all people, not just those who are best at attaining power. What's so terrible about that?
