Loved this album & Still Do! This was the time of creative music as well as Afrocentric & Spanish/Caribbean Coffee Houses, poetry slams, etc; Amel & Bryce were on point.
This album was Soooo much more than " Tell Me".. It did not get promoted the way it should.. Their label dropped the ball, there should've been more heavy rotation on the airwaves as well as music videos.
I remember Amel working in a boutique in Center City Philadelphia when this first dropped.. Of course she quit a little

I am going too far with this, but you get the picture. Good music has the power to do that. It takes you back to a special time when a certain song was playing.

@Bartiani it's two years since you posted this comment but I couldn't agree with you more! This album for it's time wasn't recognized in the manner it should have been in my opinion. Amel, where do I start, I've followed this talent since she debuted as a solo artist in 2K. I love her sound, her selection of music & the identity she gives. I crave for these types of artists & groups there are no words to explain the state of radio play today vs. what we don't hear on radio.
This album grew on me so much, at first bryce wilson's production didn't do it for me but I grew to love this as well all Amel's classics. Amel always had that voice that did it for me even though most of the tracks she sings on do her no justice. Top 20 albums in my collection.

Groove Theory was a SUPER STAR group! They had great music, great voices, great everything! It's very sad to see that their success was so short lived. Hopefully they may reunite and achieve the greatness which their potential promised!
I really hope that happens because I am a huge fan of Amel Larrieux and she is extremely talented. She stated that if the music was right and the time was right with her and Bryce, she would definitely do another cd with him. Keep your fingers crossed.
