  • Your honesty is so refreshing. I hope you have patched things up with your family. Great vid.

  • @FeidhlimD5 Yes we have...thank you much! :)

  • amazing!

  • GOOD VIDEO

  • @je187u Thank you, sir. :)

  • Where is steroidsr4losers?

  • ECTOMORPH WARRIORS STAND UP!!! ha much respect for mr David Patterson.

  • Awsome documentary. nice humble guy. good luck to him in the future

  • @popper504 Thank you sir, much appreciated!

  • Hey man, can I contact you for some questions? I'm having trouble with some stuff. Like I want to compete but I think I'm to short (1m74cm) and I'm not as impressive as the other guys due to my small size.

  • @laurenssius If you continually worry about who you're gonna step onstage against, you'll never compete! You're competing against yourself first and foremost. You can't control who shows up or how they look. As I said in an earlier comment, I was usually the smallest person in my class yet I won over 100 shows. I'm also smart enough to know that I'm not competitive outside of my region. I never had dreams of going to the nationals. Get in your best shape and step onstage...y'never know...:)

  • Great mini documentary ... I wish I could learn more from you.

  • @DrDudeman Thank you!

  • yeh u lost all that shit but were u big wen u were on roids?

  • @marc1989ish I was bigger than I was at my drug-free best - that's what steroids do! If no one grew from them, then why take em, right? Like so many others I didn't think about the long-term ramifications. I can't undo the past, and I don't sweat the future, but every now and then, when I have major pain in my joints, I 'wonder'...

  • thank you very much for the video. you give a great insight on the sport that many people would probably never be able to get. the way you present it makes it understandable why people choose to cycle, physically and mentally. the problem is that often times, people will judge physique-related enhancement as morally wrong, while "supporting" their own system with all sorts of medication. it is a thin line to draw, as every external interference with the body will (eventually) leave its mark.

  • only thing im worried at this moment in doing the juice is gyno...did u experience any gyno back in the day?

  • @mchief101 - Yes, I had Gyno in both pecs. I had the right one removed about 4 years ago and the left one taken out 6 months ago. The gyno came after being 'on' less than 2 years. 30 years and $5000 later they're gone. Hated wearing tight or no shirts - who wants -ManBoobs'?

  • @drbuff1954 Did you take the proper PCT after every cycle?

  • @j215k Yes...Gyno still hit me...

  • just wondering, after you juiced, r u ok up to this day? besides ur family life etc...?

  • @mchief101 - Well...I have chronic joint pain in my shoulders, knees, low back and elbows...I attribute it to being on the juice and far exceeding my natural joint limitations. The steroids 'masked' the pain markers that were being sent so I kept lifting. Now I'm paying the price. 5 screws in my right shoulder, 2 right knee and 1 left knee surgery, an artificial hip and the other one going out...all related to steriods??? I can only wonder...but it is what it is so I don't sweat it! :)

  • i really really realy love the last few mins because im about to go on a cycle

  • @mchief101 - Whatever decision you make, be sure you're ready to live with the consequences...'hindsight is always better than foresight', they say. I can definitely look back over what I did years ago and wonder if my physical condition would be better today if I'd not done the juice. But like Michael Jordan said, "The word 'IF' should never have been in the dictionary because you can't ever see the flip side of it...!" :)

  • Very impressive- I love your attitude and determination- I hope I can have your spirit when I get to your age! Bravo!

  • very nice, thank you

  • Any supplements were you taking such as protein, testatorone boosters etc....?

  • @Chinunit22 - Nothing magical...I use Parrillo Performance Products. YouTube won't let me add the link for you...sorry!

  • i love how that guy asks if "she" looks good lol hell no that is a man! all that test transformed it.

  • you have an amazing physique regardless of age, wow.

  • amazing!

  • this guy is 55 ? man...we ve got some MAJOR caching up to do!

  • thats amazing :) looks so young

  • how much could u bench press?

  • @xxXSCARFACEXxxx When I was in my 30's and early 40's over 350 lbs...not anymore! Age eventually catches up with all of us, and it's caught up with me.

  • @drbuff1954 thats really impressive

  • wow you're amazing

everybody starting out should get to see this what you said at the end was hard to hear good timing for me Thanks so much

  • This was amazing!

  • wow so many medals

  • You are a true Champion because you are honest and truthful !

    God Bless you

  • Thank you for your comments on the "mental" aspect of taking steroids. This part of the deal is always overlooked. I have lost a couple friends to steroids and the mental toll they took. I remember when I too was presented with the steroid option. I chose the non drug rout and have had some fortunate success that kept me going. Today I am a WNBF pro. and continue to compete for the love of the sport. God bless and cheers to your continued success.

  • This is an awesome video dave!! Really motivational when is the next one?

  • Dear Sir, I just want to say that, I am so amazed by your physical body. I would think that your 20 years old or even younger. I think you have a very strong and proper structured physical appearance....

    This is just amazing!!!!

    So inspiring.

  • @rangsit2008 Thank you very much! To steal a line from Ray Charles in an old interview years ago..."I just make it do what it do, baby...I just make it do what it do!" I truly appreciate your kind words. :)

  • This is going on my favorites. Such motivation, such dedication. Love it!

  • I thought he was small until he took his shirt off.. Holy shit

  • holy shit. I'm 5'10 185lbs. I couldn't imagine being 132 lbs.

  • It would be great to see you do some training video's. Thanks ;-)

  • wow man, im 27 and i'd be proud of a body like that - i've always been muscular but never cut - i just started my first attempt at cutting down 3 weeks ago so let's see what difference it makes.

  • @xenomorph77 Much appreciated my friend. As far as getting lean, there's no secret or shortcut...y'gotta clean up your foods, and do cardio - how much depends upon your system and metabolism. Good luck!

  • dudes tiny

  • @MrJacked86 Yes, I am! And your point is...?

  • @drbuff1954 i thought bodybuilding was about being big

  • @MrJacked86 So what you're saying is if one is not 'big' (define big please...) then one cannot be a bodybuilder? Hmmm...perhaps I'd better turn in my 100+ 1st Place and Overall trophies, along with numerous Best Poser awards...:).

Seriously, bodybuilding is simply building one's body to whatever level one is comfortable with or what one's genetics will allow him/her to grow. I'm drug-free. I've never stepped onstage weighing more than 163 lbs but have taken out lots of bigs.

  • @drbuff1954 No other sport in the world depends more on genetics than BB. If you are "small-boned", you will NEVER be a champion in the big leagues, no matter how hard you train. That's probably what he meant. Doesn't mean you can't win events and stuff though.

  • @MrJacked86 DUDE steroids prove nothing just that u aint getn any so stop dissing the man and grow ur dick back i mean u dont have to be 250lbs of raw muscle to b strong and fit

  • Very honest documentary......

  • Very nice documentary!!!

  • One of the best bodybuilding documentary i've seen.

  • good documentary but Pumping Iron will always be the mother of all bodybuilding movies

  • @strongman016 Pumping Iron was a totally different kind of documentary than this one. Commercial with the intent to generate income. We aren't marketing toward anyone or anything. My friend wanted a project to do and asked me. I obliged. It's just one man's story of his journey...peace! :)

  • @drbuff1954 That's true...this one is more about the purity and satisfaction of the sport..good point

  • seriously, make another one of these. It was well done. Maybe you could document another bodybuilder for part 2!

  • @nataku1224 I just had an email conversation with the producer of this documentary. He lives in California and I live in Washington St. but he's coming up here in September. We might do something then. He's got a couple of ideas...:)

  • @drbuff1954 Sounds great! I await its production! Hit me up if it happens!

  • @nataku1224 Will do...!

  • hey man good video glad your still at it doing what you love.

  • Good work. Informative, smart, and honest.

  • yo whats happening dude

  • Amazing Doc. This guy speaking from experience. Speaking just how it is. No pussy footing around the subject of drugs. Incredible. Very inspirational. I am a natural bodybuilder and this just reinforces me to stay that way. Thankyou!! al the best

  • that chick is hot. guys smart

  • Incredible. Great work.

  • Yeah this is good stuff and a decent guy, needs to be more episodes! :)

  • Best Documentry on Bodybuilding I've seen... Please make a part II....!! Bravo!!

  • @asdfzxcv6901: Will do! :)

  • wow this is really inspirational. makes me want to go to the gym and pump some iron!

  • @unblesstheballs: Much appreciated! Throw in a few reps for me, will ya...and feel free to share! :)

  • Cant wait

    Thanks

  • This is really good.

    Inspirational and you look amazing.

  • @exia78: Thank you so much! I'm glad you liked it. Hopefully there will be a Part II. I talked with my videographer/editor and we're working on some things now.

  • respect borotha

  • Great mini-documentary. I love watching these sorts of videos while doing my own weight training as a natural trainer as it helps to inspire and keep me going if I am waining in my training ( and before anyone comments, I am not against steroid training, it just isn't for me). Hope to see some more of these if you have the time. Peace,

    - Paul M.

  • @1rishShaman: Thanks Paul! I hope to do some more with my videographer, but unfortunately he lives in California and I'm up in Washington. We share similar philosophies so it was easy to do this. No worries...I'll be talking to him this weekend and we'll see what we can do. :)

  • damn!!!!! respect brotha

  • @TheRonny305: Thanks Bro! Hoping to do another one soon...

  • Your mindset alone is enough for me to be completely behind your cause. Very proud

  • @TheseOpenRoads: Thanks man...much appreciated!

  • great ending!

  • Regardless to anyone's opinion on the use of steroids, the fact that you are 55 years of age and look as amazingly in shape as you do is nothing but truly inspirational. You will get no negative comments from me sir as you are quite clearly a champ. All the best in any upcoming comps you may have-

  • @baldsac - Much appreciated, sir. I've got several shows lined up...let's see if I can pull it together for one more go-round...:).

  • thank you so much

  • good stuff. kind of reminds me of how I was in high school and how much thigns have changed sinsce getting serious about training

  • Very interesting video. Thanks for sharing!

  • I find it interesting that the negative comments I've received are from steroid users...hmmm.

  • those 3 words: you wanna win, you are saying that everyone who is on steroids , those 3 words are the reason we are on that, that is not true, im on them because i just want to look good, and im doing it with responsabillity, and guess what, i never lost something because of the roids, i feel better, i feel bigger, i feel stronger, thats what life is al about, instead of the whole i-lost-everything-steroids story you should have said that you are to weak to do steroids with responsabillity

  • you blame roids for losing all your stuff like your wife, children, house, car, but buddy... you did that all yourself, not the roids, because 99 % of roid users do not have that problem , you belong to the 1%, you should have known that because you live in america, and as far as i know they all take roids for breakfast in your country, nice documentary by the way, but you should not have put the roidpart in it. because most of us do not have that problem you had. grtz

  • @123performance - Young man, I was stating my opinion, just as you stated yours. It is a documentary...questions were asked and I answered.

  • Well done!!! I'm busy with a doccie on South African body builders - also looking into Steroids! I really enjoyed this!!

  • Well done!!! I'm busy with a doccie on South African body builders - also looking into Steroids! I really enjoyed this!!

  • GREAT DOCUMENTARY!

    GREAT SPEECH ABOUT STEROIDS ASWELL!

  • @freakxxxxxl Much appreciated!

  • @drbuff1954 Is that you in the documentary? You are a very thought provocking individual. I am a 23 years old guy, that has achieved great body changes, under a year of amateur bodybuilding, and plan on keeping up the comitment, people such as yourself, encourage me to preserve and develop.

    Thank you.
