@PhillFarynaOffiicial I use it with Snow Leopard on my Early 2006 Intel iMac. When you connect the cable, the camera behaves as a Flash drive with 3 separate drives. The format is .AVI and Quicktime does not natively support it. Download VLC from videolan.org and it'll play perfect.
@TheAnimalDen I'm sure you'd be able to, but you might need to convert the clips first. Windows Movie Maker may not be compatible with the HD streams (or at least not without an update or codec most likely). I haven't tried any of the videos with Windows 7 yet, but I used Handbrake to convert some videos before using them with iMovie in OSX 10.6 (Snow Leopard).
@theinsomnia82 I just used YouTube's upload feature, and pointed to the .avi file that the camera made. It went through conversion on YouTube's end though.
I got this same camera for xmas.....still in the box I'm so use to using my camera for video. I was really looking for a video on how to use this camera and use the Youtube upload feature built into it. Maybe you can do one. : )
As helpful as that would be, this is the ONLY videocam I have, so I can't film myself using it. There is only one difficult thing to figure out:
When playing back video, to actually SELECT something you have to push in the jog dial (zoom wheel). After discovering this, the camera was WAY easier to use.
Do you happen to know the max size SD card this camera can support. I have the same camera and would love to be able to put a 8GB or bigger card in other than the 4GB it came with
I'm using the camera with an Intel iMac Early 2006 model. When connecting with USB, the SD card in the camera mounts with 3 separate volumes. Software in the box is not Mac compatible, but usually it's not good software anyway.
