@nothingnessdarren They are made to be used with the Saiga original trigger holes for a conversion. If you are using it on an AK you do not need the side holes. You can use the grip nut on the 2 arms for the second secure point.
@carolinashooters Well that makes sense as to why I can't find a template online anywhere! I have a nodak receiver AK and was going to drill out the holes in receiver and put in 4 8-32 torx head screws because my block keeps slipping at 1 of the 2 points. After about 30 rounds I can start to see a slight gap between the block and receiver, slamming it down on the buttstock closes the gap. Not sure what the deal is, I have everything very tight and loctite on the 2 screws. Guess I could weld it?
will this specific internal reciever block fit youre standard ak? if so were did you purchase it and around what price ? if you can get back at me as soon as possible i would really appreciate it!
@colddarkstare Saiga's already have the holes there. You do not have to use the side holes to mount on an AK. You can lock it down with the grip nut and the top screw.
Awesome video! I will be attempting to convert my Saiga 12 and just received the Tromix DIY from Carolina Shooters a day ago. I'm impressed with the quality of your instruction and I greatly appreciate it. I cannot afford to have someone else do the conversion. The videos convinced me that I can do it myself so I bought the parts.
I was wondering if this would work on a saiga-12? Im not really a fan of the full stock and wouldnt mind the option of leaving off the folding part. Should I do this when I convert the trigger placement?
Nice video! It looks very easy to install if one's Saiga has those trigger linkage holes, but why does it require a separate nut to attach to the old stock screw hole? It seems like a tapped hole in the top of the block would allow it to be installed with just that one bolt. Either way, it looks like a great product.
Is there a template available for making sure the holes drilled in receiver line up with the 4 side screw holes in the Ace block?

If the gun is out of spec you can drill the hole slightly larger and the screw head will still cover the hole.

My CSS Block sits flush with the rear of the receiver but my screw holes on the side do not line up on my S12. Suggestions?

damn it. i should have got this block for my saiga instead of the one that mounts to the stock tang.

Do you have to remove the tang when installing the SGM Interior Rear Trunion Mount?
bcoverss 10 months ago
@bcoverss That mount replaces the entire rear trunion. I do not recommend it. It is much better to use the CSS internal block.

Excellent & informative! Will the folding stock adapter clear the bolt on your D.I.Y. trigger guard?
OneObjectivist 1 year ago
@OneObjectivist Yes the block we sell has a channel to clear the DIY trigger guards rear bolt head.
