  • you seem very honest and down to earth , can you answer a question are any of these shows, or these mediums like chip coffee for real ?

  • I like how you speak the truth

  • Vipah! Iol I it's funny to say that loud.....

  • VP is so fucking boring. Why make almost 5 min about batteries?

  • i was using the ghost radar classic and the paranormal state EMF reader on 2 seperate ipods touchs and iphones and they were working in conjunction with each other and i was experianceing cold spots and feelings any explaniation ????

  • Don't forget the difference between NiMH and NiCd.

  • Also, li-ion batteries have a cycle life of 250-500 charge/discharge cycles. As they age or after enough cycles, the battery begins to deplete faster during use. This is completely normal and not paranormal in nature. One more thing: If using non rechargeable batteries, avoid heavy duty or general purpose. Carbon zinc batteries just don't hold up in electronic devices as well as high grade alkaline. Alkalines also have a higher operating temp range(about -4 F to 130 F) Great vid Mike!

  • When "battery drain" happens on digital cameras, this is typically attributed to the battery being out of sync with the device. They need to be re-calibrated after so many cycles by doing 3 to 5 full charge/discharge cycles on the battery to re-sync them with the camera or device. Also, the camera is basing the minutes left on the battery by reading the battery's voltage and basing the minutes left by it's discharge curve. In other words, it's a calculated expectancy and not absolute.

  • great vids!

  • fantastic vid mike, your videos are fast becoming a must-see necessity for all of our investigators. you speak about things you've clearly experienced in an easy to understand way. keep up the fantastic work!

  • @PembsBeyond Thank you very much.

  • Ya' gotta' love the ghost show's battery drain 'theory." Fans forget these guys are being filmed with LARGE battery powered cameras. This also includes the independent battery operated (IR) lights used by the crews, yet the ghosts only go for, or drain the double A's in the ghost hunter's digital camera. Meanwhile a "buffet," of battery "life," is available for the taking on TV crew camera's which NEVER seem to die.

As a TV SHOW battery drains are also added for effect!

  • @ultimatetubetime This was a plot point in a recent "Get Fuzzy" comic strip, where that very fact was pointed out to an alleged medium.

  • i tried watching this on my laptop but the battery died!

  • oh and where do you get your t-shirts from ? some i really like, i live in England i dont mind mail ordering. Thanks

  • good job M8 i thought this was common sense but clearly not not everyone knows i suppose (poetic) ^_^

  • you forgot to mention that when people are on "ghost hunts" they leave their equipment on for longer periods of time. People use more battery while on an "all night" investigation than during a Holiday party at their house. It's common sense and Regular use is NOT during a paranormal investigation. That is extreme use. You have had your camera on for 5 hours now, of course your batteries will die and your camera may just shut itself off. Common sense... it's the new "paranormal".

  • Great stuff, its surprising how easily people are influenced by what they see on TV. It's great you're taking the time to address these topics! I'll agree with banneradders Mike from Viper Paranormal knows his stuff,,

  • I really like how you have begun to consistently speak truth to these matters. All too often, I believe, people are led by what they see on television. You are doing the field a great service.

  • One thing about batteries drain: ghost don't need your energy from batteries to manifest themselves. Ghost make themself seen by two ways: reflecting light or emitting light...both would require A LOT of energy! The energy in batteries in pennies compared to the natural energy that is flowing through the Universe itself. If a ghost did drain the batteries, its for "shits and giggles".

  • @NinjaCthulhu Not to mention the fact that ghosts don't exist in the first place lol

  • Excellent Vid! I learn something new from you. One other thing.. .RECYCLE! Don't forget to recycle your batteries. There are places that take your old batteries.

  • Yer ur right ghost shows really play on that excuse.....although it happend to me another thing as well mike is the charger itself.....

  • Great info as always. In addition to the cold, humidity and condensation can affect batteries too.

  • Good video but you should have also mentioned that batteries last a shorter period of time in a cold environment.

  • @dsmith14469 True I forgot to mention that.

  • More top info. I'll hand it to you guys you know your stuff.

  • Very informative video, Mike. Thanks.

    -Jeremy

  • Good video Mike

  • Yep as far as I've ever been able to tell is that they just shut your equipment off if they want to but it's not draining batteries. I've had it happened, walked into a diff area and the batteries are just fine. =D

  • solid post, Mike.
