Mine is freezing at the beginning when you see all the team logos. It freezes there as it loads the audio for the rest of the intro, and then completely shuts down.
I'll kid yall not, iv'e bought 2 copies of this game and both did the same exact thing. Always freezes around Feb. 2k11 did the same thing. I hear you have to erase everything and start over, but honestly I don't think that really works. 2k sports should be ashamed of themselves for allowing these glitches to continue. I refuse to play this game anymore thanks to the glitch. The sad thing is this game is the best b-ball game around. This is truly shameful.

I have a rookie Jordan on the Bulls, I only play against the Utah Jazz two times(who have Malone/Stockton and are the only team ranked ahead of me on off/def) , and I have to similate past this game why? I also can't be Jordan in the rookie game too?
By the way I saved the game with 13 seconds left in the 1st quarter, it freezes every time still. I tried that after wiping the already clean game 3 times. Sadly I found out I'm one of many. If EA delayed Live to fix glithces like this, kudos to EA and if this patch isn't fixed very soon, I'll be trading in my copy of 2k to reserve EA Live.

I still havent tried saving the game before the 1st quarter ends, but someone did say it worked. Also i'm not sure, but is there a way u can sim the 1st quarter and then play the 2nd quarter that could work.
@franco3o3 sim a couple games like 5-10 and try playing the next game if it still doesn't work sim about 2 games past the allstar game and u will be fine

@24Bking I also had the same problem. But I have figured out the problem. So hopefully someone form EA is reading this. At the end of the first and third quarter the game accesses the upcoming match-up video (when they show the guys with their heads cut in half), the problem is that there is no upcoming match-up during the all-star break. So when the game tries to access it there is nothing to access. It gets stuck in a loop. The only way to fix this is to sim past the all-star break.
Same problem here. This happened like 2 weeks ago with me. What sucks so much is that this is the BEST basketball game I have ever played (or even one of the best games period).
