This was truly a sad day....thousands of memories this building held.....but like the person said before this post....No one cares but the ones who cannot do anything about it.....this town is run by who has the most money.....everything is treated like a tax right off.....store buildings' rent was raised so high a person could not afford to stay in business...now there is not one place in this town a person can by a dress unless it is the 'goodwill' store...
Also have you realized that if we tore down all the empty buildings around here our whole town would be flat. So be happy with the nice old places we have.
@brittcait76 I love the fact that Point Pleasant is made up of pizza parlors, bars, gambling joints, gas stations and banks!!!! Tear down all the old buildings so that we can rebuild and bring jobs to this town!!!

They are just sitting there rotting away taken up space!!! If you care about them so much why don't you buy them and fix them up so that we can learn about the history!!!!!
Obviously you are not from this town or you would understand what i am talking about. We are a small little town with NOTHING left but abandoned buildings that need to be tore down. This town needs to be cleaned up bad. The only thing anyone worries about in our town are drugs and the Mothman!!!
So glad to see this eyesore gone!!!! Why can't the rest of the town be cleaned up like this? Take down the old buildings that are not in use anymore!!! Clean this town up!!!!

are you crazy? that looks like an art deco treasure. it would be a landmark in many other towns that respected nice old architecture.
