1) France, a capitalist democracy, actually has the best health care system, according to the World Health Organization, cuba is ranked 39th, two rankings BELOW the U.S.

2) Cuba is rankled by Amnestry International as the least free and most repressive country in the Carribean 3) what good is 99% literacy if you are only allowed to read what the government lets you read.

I guarantee you they are living better than many Cubans because of the infusion of the free market.

its like this, during the fifties revolutions and marxism was spreading throughout south america. america didn't want this b/c it was a disgrace to their doctrine, also they saw the potential of exploitation available. so one by one they began to fund cia run coups along the continent. Fidel became paranoid and eventually murdered many. however, his revolution was necessary, for the country is much better than before. but b/c of the lack of other marxist gov't to trade with it didnt flourish

Castro didn't kill because he became paranoid. He and his bearded men started killing long before Batista left. He killed in the Sierra Maestra and he continued to kill after January 1st, 1959

In the first few months of his rise to power, 40,000 were executed and 250,000 fled the country.

Over 3 millions Cubans have left the country since then and the death told is over 150,000 and rising.
