  • Could it be a large object in our atmosphere moving very quickly and simply refracting the light from the sun?

  • whose hot voice was that? the girl sounds hot.

  • @ShazamVanBane time to start dating brah, if ur on youtube saying someones voice is hot youve been out of the sex game to long

  • your welcome

  • Its the Destiny refueling. no problems there

  • Its just a super bouncy ball that went (BOING!!!) on the Sun.

  • Leeroy Jenkins is back

  • Probably the blob of spunk I just let go out ma winkie

  • Looks like an optical illusion created by the camera lens.

  • fox news... i question its legitimacy immediately.

  • you know what it was its ironman at fast speed then he burnt the iron and his shoes caught on fire

  • Look Up: "The Sun God" on Facebook.

  • it looks like there is a disturbance when it passes over the top...when played frame by frame...it puts a flat surface on top...

  • Ya'll sound like a bunch of hicks all exticed when Papa comes home drunk Christmas night with no gifts.

  • Lol well guess suns would be the gas stations of space

  • It's my football

  • chuck norris slapped the sun

  • A COMET

  • IT'S ACE RIMMER!!!

  • yup Tom Brady did it again

  • So, in short, it is unlikely that we are seeing some sort of object approaching the Sun, then skipping off the edge and continuing on into space. Even it this is some sort of time-lapse video (unlikely, the way the two people are talking about it), it is still unlikely that an object would be moving fast enough to escape the immense gravitational pull of the Sun, which has an escape velocity more than 50 times that of Earth.

  • The Sun is about 865,000 miles in diameter. I'm not sure of the time-frame of this video (how much time is represented by the transit of the "anomaly"), but if we assign 1 second as the time for that "object" to cross the diameter of the Sun, then it would be traveling at about 3.114 billion MPH (865,000 miles in diameter X 3,600 seconds per hour). That is almost 5 times faster than the speed of light, which is about 670 million MPH).

  • Not sure what it was, but i do hate Justin Bieber.

  • @DanQuinnPlayersClub Ha I wish it was Justin Bieber hitting the sun, never say never burn eventually he will ha

  • It's not a meteor, If it was it wouldn't be able to get that close to the sun. It would disinigrate if it even came miles close to the sun.

  • chuch norris shot is load.

  • It's alright guys, it's just Captian Kirk returning to his time with a whale...

  • Comment removed

  • its superman recharging his powers with the suns rays

  • Looks like the camera showing a fucking scan line.... DON'T USE ANALOG RECORDING EQUIPMENT!

  • so what moves fast enough to out run the the gravitational pull of a star? on its surface?

  • We will all discharge from our electric bodies next year. Dont get caught up in money and societys stresses and find yourself. Love everyone, share and understand. We have the power to change the world.

  • id like to know what substance can touch the sun and bounce off mostly unhindered!! and at that speed!!! whatever that was,it was very, very, large and movin very, very, fast!!!!!!!! lets find its orbital pattern and stick a probe on it for a ride and exam!!

  • Refer to NASA so call so comet love joy footage taken by the Soho stereo space craft THESE CRAFTS ARE MOVING FASTER THEN A SEED OF LIGHT THATS BEING MONITOR BY NASA THEY WOULD LIKE YOU TO BE LEAVE ITS ALL ABOUT SOLAR FLARES WHEN THESE CRAFTS ARE BEING OBSERVED FLYING INTO AND AROUND THE SUN. THERE'S MORE THAT MEETS THE EYE .........

  • This is incredible, I can't find ONE serious response to this video. All I read is a bunch of Juvenile guesses. I would REALLY like to read something on this phenomena that can at least be a plausible explanation.

  • Destiny getting recharged lol.

  • @MrWati25 word

  • i havent masturbated in 9 years and i just did so that thing flying through space would be my over powered cum shot

  • You guys.. its Goku with his Kamehameha!

  • you all laugh but if something hit us even smaller we'd be gonners, and to say it wouldnt happen is more stupid than laughing about this :P pease out..

  • to answer, yes these people are that stupid. but education is not what it used to be. there is gravity, nothing is going to bounce off the sun. its going to fall in and burn. there is the heat, hotter than 10 trillion flames, nothing lasts through that but God. there is the fact it would have to be as huge as 20 earths and moving beyond the speed of light. nothing so big would ever move so fast, its physics. people are dumb. and this is their playground. grown ups, let the kids play.

  • @evocative01 The physics you speak off only apply to the sphere we live on. There are components of physics that your simple human brain will never be able to understand. Our physics is kid's stuff compared to the physics of the universe. The Universe is infinite and so is the knowledge of the universe. You cannot for certain say what that object was or was not. You have not been to the sun, you have only merely observed and theorized about it so there is no way you can be certain of claim.

  • @MrWati25 then why do you claim that the universe is infinite? i say it aint.

  • @xjoe1988x What makes it not infinite in your world?

  • @MrWati25 idk, whos to say it is and whos to say it aint. like you said nobody can be certain about anything because we only observe and theorize. it could end tomorrow.

  • oh no. it can't be...no...it's....FRIEZA!!!!

  • It was a Klingon Bird of Prey with 2 humpback whales and the Enterprise crew!

  • Nothing bounced off the Sun. A jet flew through the camera's view and the contrail lit up from scattered sunlight before dissipating.

  • This object would have to be larger than Earth and traveling faster than light by the video. Possible, but how would that not have been detected? More likely some kind of video defect.

  • It's nothing but an optic effect...

  • Nothing skipped off the sun. The sun is a gas, not solid.

  • @AzumiRM It doesn't have to be solid for something to skip, at that velocity it would bounce off of a gas. What is really interesting is that the sun is nearly a million miles in diameter and that thing moves past in under a second. Supposedly nothing can travel faster than the speed of light, but if this is in real time then that object is moving much faster.

  • @Imjony5 I'm on the same train of thought. This is probably the convergence of sunlight and something (e.g. telecom satellite) reflecting the light as it skims past the camera.

  • maybe it's MUCH closer

  • are these people that stupid?

  • Cool space stuff.

  • it just as well might be an optical illustion people. some meteor crossed imbetween us and the sun at just the right angle.

  • solar flair or large asteroid

  • it's a space booger

  • @Barskdale222 "is the damn width of the sun or at least from this perspective it looks like it." Okay... Would you mind explaining how the fuck you came up with that? Sounds like YOU are the "retarded fucking idiot". Do you know what width is? ...Or better yet, do you know what a meteor is? I don't think you do! That thing did not hit Earth, so....? And comets have a tail that ALWAYS faces away from the sun. You need to do a little bit of research before you start judging people. Fucking idiot.

  • If you consider the size of the sun, that object must have been flying faster than light speed!!! (Einstein scratching he's head.)

  • why take the same vid from youtube and post it again ?

    watch?v=0uNwJthqFTo

  • Spider web...

  • looks like a comet

  • @TurtledNinja Comets have a trail that ALWAYS faces away from the sun no matter which direction the comet is moving. Impossible for this to be a comet.

  • @Arcknagar That's only half right, the gas trail coming off a comet is always shooting away from the sun due to the effects of solar winds, but the dust trail will go more in line with the trajectory of the comet.

even still, if it was a comet, I would have imagined the trail would have shot up due to the heat of the sun, or down with gravity.

I don't know I've never been to the sun

  • @Barskdale222 Do some research and you will find that near-collision of the sun with a couple of planet-sized "comets" happened back in the winter of 2002-03. It's not even unlikely that this could be a planet-sized meteor/asteroid. Yeah, it would supposedly change orbits in our system, by a lot. But it didn't. Hmmm.

  • CALM DOWN CALM DOWN, ITS JUST A BASEBALL I HIT 2 YRS AGO!!!

  • @tntchef LOL

  • thats just destiny recharging its batteries... calm down..

  • @xmontii haha, NICE! Always good to come across another SGU fan. :)

  • and dis is news lol if u sky reporter not sure what happen der call to nassa they are watchin sun all the time with their telescopes and they will give are answer u dum fuks

  • The sun is 800,000 miles across. If that moving object was the same distance from us as the sun, then it was moving faster than the speed of light, which is impossible.

In other words, it's a stupid video.

  • Nothing to see here, I always shoot my load at the sun while masterdebating.

  • @kilox10001 the feeling's mutual; I hate dumb people who think they have it all figured out & insult any1 who's opinion differs from their own

  • @kilox10001 lol you can only skid off a solid surface huh? You can't skid off of water or anything else just solids correct? If you say so champ ;) & Regardless of what the dumbass reporters say is happening, & the uploader chose to name the vid, nothing ever "bounces" off the sun @ any point in the video. It could be a huge extremely dense sun grazer comment, or it could be an optical illusion.

  • @kilox10001 At which point in the video does it "bounce" genius? I see something possibly skidding by or off of it's surface & burning up.Objects burn up passing by the sun all the time; look up sun-grazers. It could be a complete illusion, I don't claim to know what it is for sure. I just don't dismiss everything i don't understand as dumb or silly until i've done my research. You should try it, you might learn something. Lol, wow. You're 1 of those dumb people who think they're smart! Sad =(

  • @kilox10001 That "tiny fuzzy image" Is from FUCKING NASA! I'll repeat that; the GOVERNMENT AGENCY NASA. It's from the SOHO telescopes official website dumb-shit. Why would NASA create a UFO hoax? That's some pretty high level conspiracy theory there genius. Believe whatever the fuck you wanna believe though man. It's useless to try & explain something as complex as images from NASA's solar heliospheric observatory to some1 who's obviously a close-minded mouth-breather. Have fun inside your box=)

  • @kilox10001 What's dumb's that you & 26 others deem it impossible & automatically dismiss it w/out having any idea what's captured in the footage. You should take a look at this SOHO NASA I repeat NASA footage of a pyramid shaped perfectly symmetrical craft bigger than our entire planet shooting a laser, while being impossibly close to the sun /watch?v=ef7fgjI894E&feature=player_embedded#! & maybe you'll think twice about calling every1 who's idea of what's possible differs from yours dumb asses

  • looks like a meteor in earths atmosphere that just happened to fly right off the top of the sun from that angle

  • probably a sun grazer. Those are fragments of a comet that occasionally approach the sun then evaporate. Strange thing is none have reported to actually survive before making it to The Sun

  • @matteng1997 That's what has me stumped; if it is a sun-grazer, imagine how big it'd have to be to be seen from earth AND pass by the sun that closely w/out being turned into ashes... weird

  • @Sup3rShann0n Yeah. It is weird. I think what we more plausible though would be a sun grazer that comes close to the Sun, but the angle it comes in at it bends the comet's light, and makes it appear it hit the Sun, without actually hitting its surface. It would be very unlikely that a comet would be dense enough to make it completely to The Sun.

  • it's NOT Chuck Norris !

  • fox news...

  • Damn that Alien was speeding, someone get a astronaut to go and pull his ass over. Probably DUI.....

  • chuck norris cum shot

  • Oh dear. These nut crackheads need to learn some astronomy.

  • @treasuredroperX How old are you man, twelve!

  • Comment removed

  • that's nothing. my mouse pointer just bounced off it about twenty times.

  • well my theory is that the gravity of the sun made the light of the commet bend towards the sun.

  • It didn't bounce off the sun, probably not even close, it has to be bigger than a planet and stronger than any metal ever known in order to hit sun and bounce scaping its gravity, its just perspective optical illusion

  • @jraposo Maybe, but what if it's not? Have you seen the footage from the super-telescopes of objects twice the size of earth flying onto & off of the sun? Some of which even make sharp turns! If an object several x bigger than earth were to skip off of the surface of the sun w/that kind of speed & force, we'd probably be able to see it from earth. I've seen some pretty weird shit in my day, & have come to the conclusion that nothing's impossible & man-kind doesn't REALLY know shit about shit =)

  • @Sup3rShann0n Yess we are the universal Idiots..Claiming dominance

  • Well think we would have seen the object that had to been earth sized or bigger, that skip off the sun. or so it looked in this video

  • Very Interesting

  • in sovjet russia sun bounce ass

  • It was a new Human spaceship battlecruiser ho has the capacity to harnest the power of the sun mutch like the Destiny

  • more like something may have gone into the sun and then didnt bounce but was destroyed as well, just the corona is about over 1 million degress lol. so nothing can BOUNCE of it as it will be destroyed before even touching the sun lol. well there was a girl talking in the video so i guess it was ok lol

  • more like something may have gone into the sun and then didnt bounce but was destroyed as well, just the corona is about over 1 million degress lol. so nothing can BOUNCE of it as it will be destroyed before even touching the sun lol. well there was a girl talking in the video so i guess it was ok lol

  • I should of never threw my toys in the sky :'( will it fall back to earth?

  • @DivinityzBeAsT HOT!!!

  • The sun is over 9000 degrees

  • @csadens777 In the core of the Sun its 15 million degrees Celsius. On the surface, the sun is about 6000 degrees

  • That was an alien toasting bread!

  • Dude. Its fire off the sun. Get a brain.

  • It didn't bounce off the sun, it was a meteor whose path coincided with your vantage point of viewing the sun. People are so ignorant. Now you know why Obama got elected.

  • its the road runner thrust move!

  • @kilox10001 sorry i watched the video, and went WOW... and then i read your comment.... sob sob im a dumb ass... ! BUT ON THE BRIGHT SIDE I DID GIVE YOU A THUMBS UP

  • It goes away after you register your hypercam.

  • cobweb spider thread

  • Its a comet...

  • generic outdated reference to chuck norris being more than he is or ever could be

  • looks just like a strand of spider silk catching the light as it floats past the camera. so thats probably what it is.

  • SKY FOX

    KY FOX

    Y

    FOX

    OX

    X

  • THAT'S WILD!!lolXD

  • It was a comet orbiting the other side of the sun. It gets brighter as it gets closer to the sun because the sun heats gases inside the comet that produce the bright coma and tail. As it gets farther away from the sun it doesn't heat as much gases so it becomes less and less bright. It's orbit must be extremely elliptical.

  • it was chuck norris looking for is bb guns lol

  • That was Destiny, recharging its batteries. You guys need to watch more Stargate.

  • If it was a flying object bouncig off Sun, it mus have beet travelling close to 4million kph.

  • thats the guy form "Superman 4"

  • Damn Silver Surfer is up to his hijinks yet again!

  • alien craft. passing by to get energy

  • back to the choppaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa !!!

  • It was Chuck Norris surfing :D

  • so thats how babys are made

  • are you sure this isn't some sort of atmospheric lensing effect? I've seen videos of the sun setting on a hot day, and the 'boiling' atmosphere will cause weird effects very similar to this.

  • @artofnick I'd have to agree. OMG THERE IS A PICTURE OF A GIANT HELICOPTER ON THE SCREEN! IT MUST BE A HELICOPTER THE SIZE OF JUPITER!

  • It's very basic optics and I have seen this streaking mirage dozens of times during sunset AND sunrise in various locations of our planet. Layers with different temperatures and hence density reflect light in different ways, so this "object" truly travels at the speed of light. You Americans should really try to keep your imagination at bay. How you guys get along in your everyday lives with all of it's wonders is really beyond me.

  • @TheMontsari why do you say ' you Americans' when all you heared were two people? who is truly the ignorant one here? also I am American and I know that your explanation is true...

  • @shadowriser22 : Sorry, didn't mean to hurt anyone's feelings...it's the ignorance that sometimes drives me more or less insane...my wife was thinking of buying me one those nice coats with long sleeves...

  • Sorry to dissappoint you all, put it's a reflection caused by an inversion layer of the earth's atmosphere. So cool it and enjoy the view

  • @TheMontsari Where are you getting this information from?

  • @TheMontsari ; "inversion layer" really? no way. not sorry.

  • @kilox10001

I mean, the speed and the mass of the object must be really high. An asteroid/comet would have been destroyed. That's what I meant to say!

  • @kilox10001

Couldn't be more true. I agree with you, however, it is unlikely to NOT having touched the Sun. The trajectory suggests it bumped something, and I don,t see on what it could have bounced off aside from the Sun. And it seemed hella fast, and big, so a minor obstacle wouldn't have stand a chance. I believe it bounced off the Sun. This seems unlikely and this is why I find this video very intriguing.

  • @kilox10001

Are your eyes primitive. I know about what you said, but this video tends to prove it wrong. We know nothing about space. It will always surprise us, as in here. Your theory is really evasive btw

  • @kilox10001

Ok, you really convinced me. Hmmmm...are you blind? What is your alternative cause of this phenomenon? You just made yourself look like a dumbass...just had to say it.

  • @bigfatboogercat Exactly, it was headed into the Sun, and then altered course to a perpendicular angle and should have been pulled down into the Sun and toward the bottom of the sun, not to the left and out... Remember the tremendous gravity of the Sun keeps all the Planets in orbit throughout our entire Solar System. You should check out the info Im sending to your account..

  • i demand a end

  • that thing was traveling close to the speed of light

  • That object has insane speed, if it's an object. Something bouncing off the sun is probably impossible, unless it had a really big mass so the sun couldn't burn it before it got there, but even we would feel that kind of an impact, it would probably kill us.

  • 4 people bounced off the sun

  • Whoa, that was cool.

  • That was the Enterprise trying out its new shields.

  • Viewer 9,999. Wow!

  • It may have been a meteor, but so large at that distance that it kept going, the interesting thing is that if it were, it would have been pulled in by the suns gravity giving it a new course more downward.. Not moving back up and away as it did!!!!! watch as what he said is correct, it appears to bounce, Meteor would have been pulled into more of a downward direction by gravity, remember the sun is only Gas. We have antigravity, we should be out there!!!

  • It is a reflection in our atmosphere.. a little shootingstar. And its leaving in our atmosphere bend the light a bit..

If we could see the suns surface (splitted material in this example) by eyes, then it would be a bit strange - wouldnt it? We just see its light. Or do we see sunstroms by eyes? No..

  • It was Chuck Norris back-handing the sun, for attempting to steal his worshipers.

  • im saying that its a fake for sure

  • Seems about right for the quality of journalism on Fox.

  • Only on FOX

  • idiots....

  • Only a one skipper?!? Fail. Haha

  • it's the nibaruians that are sucking up our suns energy for their domination plans for us earthlings in 2012 :)

  • Alright. that object would have to have been moving really really damn fast to cover such a distance and even have a chance at glancing off the sun. Keep in mind the size of the sun and its gravity and how hot it is. Just don't know of anything that could be able to do that unless it truly was faulty equipment... somehow and I'll had that off to who ever to explain.

  • @AaL3XaNd3R09 maybe a planet obbiting a star that went supernova, got blasted away fast enough to escape even the sun's gravity and just happened to pass by us it would have had to been a long time ago kuz the nearest star is faaaarrrr away.... unless we are missing something

  • IT WAS CHUCK NORRIS!!!!!

  • It's a UFO

  • Sun will devour anything in its path!

  • Guys, that appearance on the sun comes everytime the sun moves up/down the horizon. It's some kind of effect that makes objects appear different when viewed at the horizon... I guarantee nothing is happening with the sun.

  • you can clearly see the freakin thing bounce on the sun. if u Pause the video when u see it comming IN the sun, take a ruler and place it over ur screen the direction its taking, than unpause keeping the ruler the same direction it was to the time it goes out the sun you can clearly see its bouncing on it.

  • wow you discovered bending light, its gravity bending bending the solar waves

  • I am a solar atmospheric physicist. Sorry to disappoint you all but it was an airplane passing in front of the sun. The apparent distortion in the solar disk is simply refraction of light passing through the hot exhaust gases of the airplane in surroundings of otherwise cold air.

  • there i broke it down! all a huge fuss over a dangin fly or something lol!

  • it was most likely a bug catching the glare of the sun. in order for this to be a starship, it must be larger than earth because the object apparent in size compared to the sun, and the way it zooms past the solar system looks like it's faster than light. in oder for something to be faster than light, it must be a subatomic particle, and a starship larger than earth is not obviously a subatomic particle.

  • Hmm.. you kind of read my mind there....yes, depending on how much this video was zoomed in the object could have caught the glare of the sun. This is similar to the effect in some movies where they show people walking from very far away in the desert and their shapes are not well defined until they come close enough. I'm sure a film or optics expert may know the correct word for what I'm trying to describe.

  • Very good but nothing moves faster than light. Even light with 0 mass moves at the speed of light. BTW the speed of light is basically the fastest any object can ever go. Its all about relativity.

  • @Strikerklm96

nothing that we know of right?

  • E = MC^2

    (E/M)^0.5 = C

If M[Mass] = 0 then Your 'constant' now becomes infinity which is impossible.

With the inclusion of other types of matter, it is no longer guaranteed that light is the fastest. [Dark Matter]
