Thanks! I didn't mind that shot but I think McKey had several better ones. Her simplistic (obviously, since it's in my list), dramatic, CoverGirl, windmill and swimsuit were all better than her ship shot, in my eyes.

i would have though there'd be more of caridee, melrose, and the twins! the twins were AMAZING! cycle 7 had some of the best shots and photoshoots ANTM has ever seen. Analeigh had some pretty good shots near the end, as did McKey. Samantha had her Calvin Klein like shot! and what about whitney's music shot? that wasnt too shabby. and eva's spider shot from cycle 3?

I love doing "best" and "worst" lists; but when it comes to photos I won't touch it because of the astronomical work involved. It's obvious who some of your favorite girls are due to their repetitious entries, but for the most part, I would have to say that most of the photos you chose as the best 160 are all pretty dang good.
The three I could think of as amongst my absolute favorites were
Analeigh's Fierce Eyes was close to making my list, yes. But I try to play a girl's photos against each other, too - and I thought her Fiercees and Dramatic shots were her real standouts. I'd have probably used her Windmill shot, too, had I had room for another 40-50 shots.
Oddly enough, the girl with the most photos in my countdown (Renee) isn't a favourite at all. I didn't even really like her, but her photos were just so consistently outstanding that she ended up making my list 6 times.
Ah yes, this lineup brings back so many memories. Jenah's unkempt-weavedness, Jade's preposterousness (She is a member of the dinosaur family, after all), Lauren Brie's lack of eyebrowness... great times, great photos.
She's not here because she didn't take that good photos. In my opinion she's the worst one to ever have landed on 2nd place on the show, due to model potential and portfolio.
Yes, you're right; she did have some great photos - she really did. But I still think that she's the worst runner-up ever on the show. And that's my opinion :)
It's refreshing to see a list of pictures I hadn't seen in a while. Very nicely edited and good choice of tunes. (Although it's clear now who your favourites were :P) lol
I almost had Bianca's CoverGirl queen collection shot in my list. I was originally going to do a top 200, but it wasn't going to fit into one video. I cut it back to 160 and thus cut a few photos out.
Those shots of Amanda and Brittany that you mention were so close to making this list. It's really freakin' hard to narrow my favourites down, even to just 160. There have been tons of great shots.
And yes, LB's ballon shot is gorgeous. But so are plenty of other shots - that one wasn't anything amazingly new. As you saw, I don't even think it was her best photo - not when her face in her swimwear shot was so ethereally beautiful.
Oh I LOVE your number one! I didn't get why the judges didn't like Christina's photo either - I loved it. Although, I'm going to have to disagree with you on April and Mercedes shot - I loved it, but preferred Yoanna and Shandi's.
Both were great, but I do see the slight stiffness in Shandi in the other shot, and I think that type of sexiness is more common, though Yoanna and Shanid pull it off very well.
But let's just celebrate the fact that both shots, on the whole kicked ass. :D
Oh yeah they were both amazing. I'm glad I've seen another Nicole fan. I'm a bit bummed she doesn't model anymore, as I was expecting her to be huge after the show.

It is their opinion of course, but while I think it's good, I don't think it's one of the best in ANTM history.

In an interview, I read that Nicole got into a lot of Bush vs. Gore political debates, that Eva was regularly a total bitch to her, and that she got hit in the head by the can of YJ Stinger drink! After shooting hers, they decided an empty can might have been a better idea...
I like this video; these have my personal favourites that didn't make it to the other one (Keenyah's switched ethnicity, Nik's Bollywood, Sarah's shot with the horse). Your top ten are all brilliant as well. I'm loving the music as well!
If only I can use a Paulina GIF here because that summarizes what I feel about the rankings. Lol. But not the Top 10. I think they are good. But some of the photos there (i.e. Dominique jetsetter) over the other highly rated shots (in general...i.e. Elyse snake, Yoanna helmet, Shandi Solstice) are like whoa (Ebony moment please)!
The ones you just mentioned are all gorgeous shots - but for me, it was pretty much splitting hairs with nearly the whole top 160 - and the ones I ranked higher are shots I find more interesting.
Dominique and Kat's jetsetter shots are STUNNING. I love the 1940s influence in styling and I though Dom pulled off that slightly campy/kitschy vibe flawlessly. She looks a lot younger than in some of her other shots, too.
Both of those were incredibly close calls. In the end, I like Anya's paint shot but I don't quite love it - and I think Amanda had other, better shots.
I tried to judge a girls' photos against the rest of her portfolio in an effort to not over-represent some girls. Oddly enough, the one who ended up making it in the most was Renee - and she's not even a favourite of mine!
For photos? April, both of the Nicoles, both of the Michelles, Felicia, Marjorie, Yaya, Melrose, AJ, Brittany Hatch (cycle 8), Lauren, Joanie and Furonda were all pretty consistently kickass.
In the current cycle, I'd add Allison to the list. And, surprisingly, Aminat. About half her portfolio was lackluster, but the other half was stunning.
Hmmm...I'd agree with you on most of those. And I really did want Allison to win this cycle...oh well. What about Christina from Cycle 4 though? Also, Natasha from Cycle 8 was probably my favorite from any cycle.
Christina, too! I remember when they did cycle 4 go-sees and I was showing ANTM to a friend who'd never seen the show before.
She looked at me and said "how can these idiots not look at Christina and say "you're gorgeous, please, walk in my designs right now!"". She had a gorgeous face and body (and, as you saw, I'm quite a fan of some of her photos).
Natasha? Loved her for entertainment value more than for her ability as a model, but there were definitely a couple of lovely shots in there.
Yeah, she had a face reminiscent of the Audrey Hepburn age. It was so gorgeous...
I think part of my partiality to Natasha was that I first started watching ANTM that cycle, and I remember her striking me as the best. I still think she was much more deserved to win than Jaslene.
On another note, now that we have the right number of winners, I think it'd be amazing to have an ANTM for all the winners of each cycle.
That could be fun! Personally, I'd love to see someone like Danielle kick their asses. I consider her to be probably the most versatile winner of the bunch (even if she only made my list once, I consider her the most versatile of the winners and her portfolio was VERY consistent).
Natasha... I'd have booted her early, TBH. I doubt her teacher's pet shot was really her best shot from the film, but I don't think she has as much potential as Anya (the other Russian)...
I really like the list, and I agree a lot with it. Thank god someone else thinks that Lauren Brie's rope ladder is NOT the best shot in top model history.
A lot of the shots that more typically get the mentions - LB' balloon or Elyse and Yoanna's beauty shots, for example - are still good photos IMO. I mean, they deserved a spot on this list, for sure, just not right at the top.
Cycle 5 was the worst for me, actually. The only shoots from that cycle that I really liked were the country couture, B&W, and Bollywood ones. The Paparazzi shoot was samey, the superheroes one was too hard for the girls to do, and the classic art and fashion victim ones were just dreadful ideas.
Yes! to me the girls that cycle were the most lackluster (in photos...certainly not personality wise though).
the B&W photoshoot, pin up girls, bollywood, plastic surgery were the best shoots of the cycle
superhero, classical art, and wildboyz photoshoots made me cringe.
the problem with c5 was that less girls then normal were strong, and the select few who were strong werent even all that strong. if u took the top four from c5 and put it in other cycles some of them would get crushed.
Pretty much. I mean, can you imagine Nik, Nicole, Lisa and Kim really standing up to, say, Marjorie, Analeigh, McKey and Elina? Or better yet, April, Shandi, Yoanna and Sara?

Analeigh's Fierce Eyes was close to making my list, yes. But I try to play a girl's photos against each other, too - and I thought her Fiercees and Dramatic shots were her real standouts. I'd have probably used her Windmill shot, too, had I had room for another 40-50 shots.
Oddly enough, the girl with the most photos in my countdown (Renee) isn't a favourite at all. I didn't even really like her, but her photos were just so consistently outstanding that she ended up making my list 6 times.

Ah yes, this lineup brings back so many memories. Jenah's unkempt-weavedness, Jade's preposterousness (She is a member of the dinosaur family, after all), Lauren Brie's lack of eyebrowness... great times, great photos.

Actually, I thought she had some pretty good photos and I did include her "Killed By A Model" photo (I thought she was the best on that shoot).
I almost used her Gender Swap and Men's Magazine photos, too, but ultimately there were other photos that just edged those ones out.

Yes, you're right; she did have some great photos - she really did. But I still think that she's the worst runner-up ever on the show. And that's my opinion :)

I almost had Bianca's CoverGirl queen collection shot in my list. I was originally going to do a top 200, but it wasn't going to fit into one video. I cut it back to 160 and thus cut a few photos out.

i really appreciate this video for the music, and ur atypical choices.
although many of your choices are not ones i would make, i do understand them, and they make me rethink my favorites.
how eva received first call out over nicole on the energy drink shot still baffles me.
and im glad you aren't, like me, blown away by lauren brie's hot air ballon shoot.
its a great shoot, the best of that week, but then tyra said it was one of the best in antm history.
and that was crazy talk.

that to me is one of the most underrated shots in all of antm (as well as amanda's (cycle 3) covergirl shot and brittany's (cycle 8) dead shot).

Those shots of Amanda and Brittany that you mention were so close to making this list. It's really freakin' hard to narrow my favourites down, even to just 160. There have been tons of great shots.
And yes, LB's ballon shot is gorgeous. But so are plenty of other shots - that one wasn't anything amazingly new. As you saw, I don't even think it was her best photo - not when her face in her swimwear shot was so ethereally beautiful.

Oh I LOVE your number one! I didn't get why the judges didn't like Christina's photo either - I loved it. Although, I'm going to have to disagree with you on April and Mercedes shot - I loved it, but preferred Yoanna and Shandi's.

Both were great, but I do see the slight stiffness in Shandi in the other shot, and I think that type of sexiness is more common, though Yoanna and Shanid pull it off very well.
But let's just celebrate the fact that both shots, on the whole kicked ass. :D

I have to agree wuth you there. Honestly, I'm glad you put Lauren Brie's hot air balloon photo where it was. I know sooo many people love it, but I just don't think it's nearly as good as they think. It is their opinion of course, but while I think it's good, I don't think it's one of the best in ANTM history.

You don't hear people going crazy about THAT photo though, do you? No. Most people only remember the judges' hype for the second one.

In an interview, I read that Nicole got into a lot of Bush vs. Gore political debates, that Eva was regularly a total bitch to her, and that she got hit in the head by the can of YJ Stinger drink! After shooting hers, they decided an empty can might have been a better idea...

Don't think of it as LOW. It's an honor just to be considered worthy of making it into the top 160 at all.
A lot of people seem to think that being outside the top 100 means it's a bad photo. But anything I included is something I consider a great shot!

But some of the photos there (i.e. Dominique jetsetter) over the other highly rated shots (in general...i.e. Elyse snake, Yoanna helmet, Shandi Solstice) are like whoa (Ebony moment please)!

The ones you just mentioned are all gorgeous shots - but for me, it was pretty much splitting hairs with nearly the whole top 160 - and the ones I ranked higher are shots I find more interesting.
Dominique and Kat's jetsetter shots are STUNNING. I love the 1940s influence in styling and I though Dom pulled off that slightly campy/kitschy vibe flawlessly. She looks a lot younger than in some of her other shots, too.

Both of those were incredibly close calls. In the end, I like Anya's paint shot but I don't quite love it - and I think Amanda had other, better shots.
I tried to judge a girls' photos against the rest of her portfolio in an effort to not over-represent some girls. Oddly enough, the one who ended up making it in the most was Renee - and she's not even a favourite of mine!

For photos? April, both of the Nicoles, both of the Michelles, Felicia, Marjorie, Yaya, Melrose, AJ, Brittany Hatch (cycle 8), Lauren, Joanie and Furonda were all pretty consistently kickass.
In the current cycle, I'd add Allison to the list. And, surprisingly, Aminat. About half her portfolio was lackluster, but the other half was stunning.

Christina, too! I remember when they did cycle 4 go-sees and I was showing ANTM to a friend who'd never seen the show before.
She looked at me and said "how can these idiots not look at Christina and say "you're gorgeous, please, walk in my designs right now!"". She had a gorgeous face and body (and, as you saw, I'm quite a fan of some of her photos).
Natasha? Loved her for entertainment value more than for her ability as a model, but there were definitely a couple of lovely shots in there.

I think part of my partiality to Natasha was that I first started watching ANTM that cycle, and I remember her striking me as the best. I still think she was much more deserved to win than Jaslene.
On another note, now that we have the right number of winners, I think it'd be amazing to have an ANTM for all the winners of each cycle.

That could be fun! Personally, I'd love to see someone like Danielle kick their asses. I consider her to be probably the most versatile winner of the bunch (even if she only made my list once, I consider her the most versatile of the winners and her portfolio was VERY consistent).
Natasha... I'd have booted her early, TBH. I doubt her teacher's pet shot was really her best shot from the film, but I don't think she has as much potential as Anya (the other Russian)...

A lot of the shots that more typically get the mentions - LB' balloon or Elyse and Yoanna's beauty shots, for example - are still good photos IMO. I mean, they deserved a spot on this list, for sure, just not right at the top.

Cycle 5 was the worst for me, actually. The only shoots from that cycle that I really liked were the country couture, B&W, and Bollywood ones. The Paparazzi shoot was samey, the superheroes one was too hard for the girls to do, and the classic art and fashion victim ones were just dreadful ideas.

Yes! to me the girls that cycle were the most lackluster (in photos...certainly not personality wise though).
the B&W photoshoot, pin up girls, bollywood, plastic surgery were the best shoots of the cycle
superhero, classical art, and wildboyz photoshoots made me cringe.
the problem with c5 was that less girls then normal were strong, and the select few who were strong werent even all that strong. if u took the top four from c5 and put it in other cycles some of them would get crushed.
