This level is pretty hard. The first time I beat the Joker I took a hit at the exact same moment he died so we fell off the screen together. The game didn't count it as a victory so I had to re-try.
I'm impressed that he beat the Joker with a weapon OTHER than the batarang (a fairly risk-free way to get the job done). By the way, did anyone beat the Joker with the railgun (the weapon that looks like you're shooting a steel girder)? The railgun is very powerful, but slow as hell and doesn't repeat fire. Seems that you'd need to hit the Joker squarely in the head to do any real damage.
@maxthunder72 The steel girder thingy is actually the T (tranquilizer) weapon. I almost beat the joker with it. The batarangs are the best way to go to beat the Joker, the Wave weapon (as used here) is the second best, the tranquilizer is 50/50. Forget about the Short and Normal weapons (you wouldn't have a prayer with them in stage 4-2 let alone against the Joker.
It was a horrible feeling.... getting past the 1st flying stage... only to discover an EVEN more difficult one immediately after... which I could not beat... even though I played it many, many times. Thanks!
i got this game in the 1993 but i could never beat the last boss in dimension 3 :( nice vid but u died 3 times on the joker m8 dont write that u did the game without dying

Anyone else catch before he goes into last stage he has 9 lives and 6 when he fights the joker? -.o I know you wen't through the whole game without dieing but if your guna submit a video saying the whole thing without dieing then submit it without dieing! Not a big deal, just annoying when people do this...
I totally agree! He should alter the description on the 1st vid as it's complete lies. On the flip side - you should probably learn how to spell the word dying if your going to write a paragraph full of the word dying! Not a big deal, just annoying when people do this...
You can actually kill the Joker in a few SECONDS if you use the batarang, as they slow down in mid-air before returning to you, making them continuously hit him in the process. :)
I played so many times on 4-2 and could never do it, now I see it's because I was carrying a batarang to use on Joker when the Wave gun was necessary to take out the guns on the platforms...
i had this game back in my very days, i loved it but i sucked at it, when i was a toddler i put the game in cocolate milk and thats why i dont have it anymore.
I give you 5 stars, I can pretty easily get to that stage, now beating that stage is another story, it's so hard I don't even play it. good job. what people may not know is that in that just in this last stage the screen scrolls forward to mess you up, so you cannot waste time.
I could never beat the scrolling part of stage 4. I thought this was a really hard game as a kid.

The cathedral stages took a lot of getting use to but it gets easier the more you play it. Still the soundtracks kick ass!

you really shouldnt use the T gun, it ll be easier to use the R gun(baterang) to beat the Joker
