  • So if this isn't the best performance I've ever seen it's definitely the best version of this song I've ever heard by far!

  • RIP Gerard

  • Woodwinds.

  • Long winded replies to music are like the wind.

  • Gloriousness.

  • @springsteenrules i bet tvotr likes radiohead more than you like tvotr . just saying :):):):):)

  • @Superman54 Why do you say that? They don't sound much like Radiohead.

  • @SaneLunacy

radiohead doesnt have a sound, rather they have an idea. their idea is that if you assemble the song to perfection, you dont need to write a perfect melody that can stand on its own if the rest of the song supports the lesser melody. radiohead does this to perfection, take an individual part of a song, play it, and listen to the whole song. that part takes on a whole new role in the radiohead song. tvotr does the same thing, assemble everything with its perfect counterpart.

  • I love how the audiences in all the TV performances of this song are just sitting on their fucking hands like they're waiting in the doctor's office or listening to a lecture or something. You're watching one of the best rock bands in recent times, GET FUCKING EXCITED BITCHES!

  • @ruin3r

They're probably just so blown away by the band. You look at them, you don't expect them to do such an intense song.

  • Visit our channel to check out our cover of Wolf Like Me by TV On The Radio performed live!

  • It bothers me that I only heard this song recently.

Seriously, 3 years old and ive never heard it??

  • these guys are amazingly talented. this is what happens when everybody is good friends in the band and works together. they give me alot inspiration for my band. this isnt the video i ment to comment. look up love dog. its amazing how they think of every little detail for the song. i hope they stay together for my kids to see real talent :)

  • well said brother. even if they break up, they will have inspired someone to carry the torch.

  • When I grow up i wanna be a black rock star like TVOTR...Love performance...Lovely band

  • i hope you succeed! practice!!!!

  • i don't think so... Yesterday a woke up and discovered that i'm 21

(i do not deserve to live)

  • I hear a mix between Misfits and Radiohead/Soundgarden....weird shit, but they fuckin' NAILED IT! This song is better live than it is on the album. They need to make a rock album like this. It would EXPLODE!

  • Id like to add Bauhaus to that list of yours. Completely agree.

  • the audience sucks ... Awesome performance

  • Their jaws are on the floor, cause they had been listening to so much Miley Cyrus lately that they don't know that they have just been led out of the empty hell that is pop music.

  • this song imo, is also pop music. its just a harder edged version of it, but i think most people will like this song if they hear it all the way through, like in a movie er somthing, so thats why i think its pop music. just extremely GOOD pop music. creative and raw.

  • @Superman54 this is not pop music. Pop music is recycled garbage that's on re-play on top 40 stations around the country, you might as well be listening to air. This is close to alternative/rock, whatever you wanna label it just as long as you don't label it pop. This is most definitely not a mainstream song therefore it's not pop. Might as well call Nirvana a pop band while you're at it.

  • @SFO14 no this is pop music. pop music is the form of another deeper genre that has been made accessible to the average listener. TVOTR's ok calculator is NOT accessible to people who dont normally like that sort of music, whereas those same concepts were used in dear science a far poppier album that more of the populous could enjoy.nirvana is at times,a pop band.this is not an insult. it means that they reached people grunge normally cant.in utero was made to counter the pop ideas in nevermind.

  • @SFO14 in all honesty though, theres no such thing as genre, just good and bad music. check out the stuff in my profile by the carrying place and spooks since you've got proper taste in music, maybe you might like that stuff as well. if you do, spread the word, lets end garbage in the media together!!!

  • @Superman54 I'd have to say it's debatable whether or not genres in music exist, otherwise Art History classes teaching about music really shouldn't exist. People like to label things so it's easier to distinguish one sound from another, and then rules are made up and "experts" must classify whether or not a sound adheres to the aforementioned rules. It's not a perfect system, and there are bad sounds in every category, so it's easier to say there is good and bad music (so in short, I agree)

  • i love how raw it sounds. Very excellent performance. very passinoate.

  • dear science sucks? o come on. other stuff might be good but it doesn't mean DS sucks. its a quality album that you can listen to all the way through without wanting to skip a song. name one bad song on it.

  • What are you talking about? Dear Science is they're best album to date.

  • tunde moves like a god

  • Tunde Adebimpe = my new music idol

  • ridiculously good!

whats scary is that the new album Dear Science makes Return to Cookie Mountain sound like garbage! and thats saying something!

  • ha thats kind of a ridicolous statement, I like Cookie Mountain a little bit better than Dear Science, but what is amazing is that they can produce two amazing albums back to back, havent really seen that since radiohead's ok computer and kid a

  • Modern day Velvet underground.

  • its a great song it took me one year to find it

  • lol won't he like sprain his wrist or something with the flinging arm?

  • This song blew me away when I first heard it on letterman. I had to immediately hit up wikipedia to find out more about the band.

  • Not really, their last two albums have been stellar.

  • what a band, return to coolie mountain is the best record in a long time,

@maccsog - hopefully not, these dudes have a few amazing albums with many spectacular songs

  • TVOTR are the best new band of the 21st century.
