as a vocalist from 17 to 45 i can tell you as you age your voice range changes and you have to drop the range to keep from straining to hard and be there at the end of the show and still have quality in your vocals no he is not freddie but he never claimed to be but he did do a hell of a job as did the band i am glad they returned to the stage and give the world a chance to see them live agin
They changed tones of almost each songs of Queen, because Rodgers cannot reach high notes like Freddie did. For me, it breacks the orginal song and Rodgers doesn't have the energy of Freddie. Rodgers simply changes the style, I don't recognize Queen... I'm sorry... maybe more equal between each members of the group but I prefered the old Queen with Mercury as a leader

For the folks who say Freddie is dead get over it. Well I think everyone knows that Freddie is dead and isn't coming back. It doesn't mean that his friends and fans should forget him. I respect Roger, Brian, Paul, and even John for the way they respect Freddie's memory. John has his own approach in honoring his friend, but there is nothing wrong with what the others are doing here. Freddie is still with them in this moment and they know it - they make sure of it.

Queen is my favorite band. Nobody comes close. The in-between era of Freddie's death and Paul's arrival was the worst because when they did perform they tried a bunch of different guest singers and it didn't sound right at all. Then they recruited not only a rock legend is his own right, but a legit friend of the group.

Queen is my favorite band. Nobody comes close. The in-between era of Freddie's death and Paul's arrival was the worst because when they did perform they tried a bunch of different guest singers and it didn't sound right at all. Then they recruited not only a rock legend is his own right, but a legit friend of the group.

I think he is good but not too sure that Queen wants a guy that will try to "take" the place of Freddie, they wanted Paul so that they could still perform and let Paul bring his own style to their songs. It so far has had a negitive feedback come from fans.. I love Paul Rodgers and would like to see him perform with them again, too bad I don't think it will ever happen.. RIP Freddie Mercury!

Paul is an ok singer.
He does well on songs like "We Will Rock You", and "Fat Bottom Girls"
There are some songs he clearly can't handle though, "I Want to Break Free" and "Crazy Little THing Called Love" are among them.

Paul is great singer , but in songs of Queen , he sound not so good because he is singer for another type of rock music , Freddie can sing an Opera and Rock'n'Roll , but Paul can't and here is a different ... Verrey few can make justice to Queens music and sing the songs. Paul Rodgers is his own, he dose,t try to immitate Freddy as that is impossible.Paul is one of rock'n rolls best voices

I went to see the first London show, not knowing what to expect, and I was blown over!
I managed to get get tickets to Sheffield, so took my 17-yr old son and 15-yr old foster son.
Both amazed, particularly the younger one because he'd never been to a live rock concert before.
Do your ears always ring after the concert, he asked? Only if it's been a good one, I replied!!
And, I have to confess, Paul Rodgers did bring something new to the songs, and I felt some were better for his presence.

I think all the Paul Rodgers should go to hell. Sure he is no where near as good as Freddie. But then again no one could ever be.

you dont understand the band then..freddie would have wanted them to continue (sad that john said no to this) but it is in freddies spirit to do this. these guys are big talents so it would be a HUGE shame if they didnt play their music...every member of queen wrote songs for the band..so its not like its only freddies band.. they can play if they like..and they should !!

Ni con su propio estilo me sirve, el serviría para otro grupo, pero es que intenta llevar alfo que se le derrama de las manos como el agua!!! Dicho esto, supuestamente Freddie era un gran fan de Paul y en un punto hubo una pequeña discusion entre él y Bryan porque este quería que Freddie cantara como él, pero no podía..
