  • Can anyone tell me what make this sg is it's black but it says classic on the head instead if ephiphone or Gibson

  • weeelll donne buddy !!!

  • Wow... That's all i can say now.

  • I just came across this video looking for reviews for the SG Classic abd I got way more than I bargained for. I'm not sure what is more amazing, the sound of the guitar or your playing. You truly have a gift and obviously didnt let it get away from you. I hope you get payed for your playing because a lot of people out there need to hear you on c.d. I cant remember the last time I wanted to learn a song so bad, where did you get the background music? And all this soung was from a bad monkey? WOW!

  • Lockpicker2k. Not only does Epiphone craft better way under priced Guitars than Gibson Epiphone is much bigger than there parent company Gibson Corp. Epiphone would survive and thrive with out Gibson. Could Gibson do the same? not a chance in hell buddy.

  • Great job. But the Epiphone 50th anniversary 1961 sg is much better than the gibson model hands down. Today's Epiphone guitars are some of the very best crafted guitars on the planet. Epiphone = top quality and way under priced. Gibson = WAY OVER PRICED

  • Very nice! Just added to my "Blues Favs" list.

  • Beautiful!!

  • Great playing and great guitar.

  • For someone to dislike this is funny.....It would be like a jazz musician ignoring a chord melody by Joe Pass.....This is pure unadulterated music......The tone and skill involved in it's production is probably out of the reach or comprehension of those who skoff.......Thank you for for the auditory orgasm! Please do more!

  • hello I have one of these SG's I love it. I have two LP Standards with humbuckers, and they do roar, but something ultra cool about the P90s on this SG cranked in to my Marshall. Nice go of SGTB by the way! I've ceen covering this one for many years. People seem to love the tune.

  • Brilliant mate great use of a P90 just convinced me to get one !

  • So gifted, I hope your making lots of love & money with it.

  • Awesome dude, just too fucking awesome!

  • Excellent Gary Moore cover...he would be very proud how well you covered his song!! ( -:

  • Great playing man!

So torn between a PRS Soapbar or this guitar... Dont know what to get...

  • Beautiful sound and awesome playing.Love your phrasing.

  • RIP Gary :'( Great cover-such pity that we'll only be able to hear such great covers in the future .....

  • I say this with as much respect as possible. I've been on Carnegie Hall stage, played jazz for 3 years, record and play for 8 years, but I'm amazed. I haven't heard this song, surprisingly as I love blues, but it sounds like it's your own. Congrats man, keep on keepin on.

  • wow you can play....

  • Excellent, just excellent!

  • wow great playing dude :)

  • Errr wait....gotta masturbate to this

  • i just bought this guitar, excellent playing 5 stars

  • Pedal ? Which ?

  • solid state or tube amp?

  • not the blues, chief.

  • @greenfish88 Ummm still got the blues is the song......it's a song by Gary Moore and is who mostly plays jazz like this song, which happens to be a complete eargasm

  • nice man xD

  • I want to buy a Gibson SG Special. Is £460 a good price for one? And is it worth it?

  • that was very cool

  • this is one sickk guitar!!!! I know because I own one.

  • this shows again how good gibson's own p-90's really are

  • sweet sound.......great plaing

  • can you get ac/dc tones out of this guitar I was just wondering.

  • Not only is this the best "Still Got The Blues" cover on YouTube, its also the best shot of SG Classic in action.

  • Nicely done! Iv been looking into buying a guitar with p90's for a while and the only other guitar that comes close to this is the PRS soapbar. but those are made in Korea and id rather get a gold ol' American made Gibson. This video may have convinced me

  • The tone and effects are reminicent to Carlos Santana's performance at woodstock. He played a P90 SG then.

  • amazing dude!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • whered you get this backing track/whats it called

  • I couldn't decide wether to buy an sg or a strat, sg it is :)

  • pick strat, more versatile

  • the real debate should be les paul or strat, this is not the style of music played on sgs most of the time

  • hmm you see i already have a les paul and i love it, but people say your either in the Gibson camp or Fender camp. But as you said, strats are more versatile...

  • Strats really aren't as versatile, I took months finding my next guitar. Looked through American Strats, PRSs, Les Paul standards, Gretschs, SG Standards, then I played this SG Classic with the P90s. Any tone you want, this thing can more than handle it. Best electric under 1500, hands down

  • what delay pedal are you using?

  • How long did it take you to be that good and how often did you practice?

  • that was way cool and i was feeling it. awsome work.

  • I want to know if this Gibson has humbucker routes underneath the pick guard. There is a Brand new one hanging at the Guitar Center over here where I am for $899.00(with out case) I just want to wire in a nice set of WCR Humbuckers I have . I'm just skeptical about whether, or not the routes underneath are the same as any SG with HUMS.. Anyone out there know?BTW the SG Classic I played today just like this one here had a Killer Large Neck, and with the smooth binding really felt inviting. Nice

  • It is not routed for humbuckers underneath, you'd have to get some work done. Why not buy a SG Special or Standard if you're looking for a SG with humbuckers?

  • because the SG Std., and the SG Specials have a different feel altogether. I also had 2 ANGUS Youngs in the last 5 years, and that SG felt completely different. The First thing for me is the Binding application. The Angus Young had a very smooth feel to it. Transitioning from fret to fret was effortless. The SG Stds. that I have had all had thinner neck carves too. The SG Classic that I played last night a Guitar Center had a BIG Fat Neck, an ULTRA smooth Ebony Boar, and Killer binding too.

  • awesome !

by the way : I love your guitar <3 :D

  • I'm absolutely F-in floored. Throw your pick to me!

  • That was AWSOME dude! Great tone.

  • is there a 24hr Version so i can listen to it all day

  • what amp are you using? it sounds beautiful.

  • I'm using a B52 AT112 in this video; a lot of the smoothness came from boosting it with a Bad Monkey. One of the best sounding amps I've had the pleasure of playing.

  • nice touch 0:44

  • Gotta love those P90's :) I want to get this guitar so badly... I just found this the other day.... and It sounds amazing :D Sorta a "secret" guitar xD I never heard about the SG classic till the other day..... Loved your playing... its amazing :D

  • lovely....

  • what amp you playing though?? Sounds great..

  • nice playing bro i got a gibson sg skyburst and they sound great. nice playing

  • When it comes to the blues nothing beats a strat????!!!! You are a goose. The blues has little to do with the guitar. I've got em all, and set up the right way they all sound good depending on the song.

Strats, Les Pauls, Rickenbackers etc. etc.

    Blues comes from the heart.

  • agree

  • i second that bro....its all in the fingers, i love em all...some say a tele is ultimate blues weapon..? i love em all..!

  • @minenu11 ^This , he just said it all, i've played decent blues on a goddamn Jackson with super distortions

  • You've got great touch. Awesome playing!

  • lovely tone, nice playing and all those strat freaks that think nothing bluesy ever comes out of anything but a strat are brainwashed,,,,,some strats sound like shit.

  • not some strats, most strats. only the fat necked, rosewood fretboard ones sound good.

  • A lovely tone! :)

  • 1990daved thats horseshit , the fx are the only thing i find souless in the vid , gotta tell that to angus , iommi , townsend , the all got the blues on that badboy even harrison loved the sg

  • LOL

  • have to agree with 1990DaveD when it comes to the blues NOTHING beats a Fender Stratocaster.

  • Yes... BB, Albert, and Freddie King sound great on their strats. So does Albert Collins... Muddy Waters would never be caught without a strat... or John Lee Hooker...

  • BB-King plays a ES-335... He never played a strat.

  • That's my point... he said nothing beats a strat... but most of the old blues guys that defined the sound didn't play strats.

  • Really enjoyed your playing on this post. How do you like the guitar? There's one for sale used near me.

  • just got one of these 2 days ago. I LOVE IT!!!! those p-90s sound really "creamy" and thick. great tone on this vid btw!

  • nice

  • Is there 9/42 strings on your SG ?

  • thats a real song?

  • what you unever heard of garry moore? damn gee, you like guitar or what?

  • its Still Got The Blues by Gary Moore

  • a gary moore song

  • tasty

  • Oh, and I absolutely love the bound neck. Gorgeous!

  • Man, that was tasty. Hats off to you, sir.

  • Clean and nice...great!!!

  • theres not many people who can play fast and with soul, but you just did gary moore proud.

  • sounds realy good!!

  • sg classic, i have one and i love it

  • so clean

  • LOL)))))))))))))) its true

  • I love the SG

  • i'm trying to decide between an sg classic with p-90 pup's or a les paul studio raw series(it's a like a reissue from the 2000-2001 raw powers , i don't know well but i think it is) , which one woould you buy?????????

  • sg.

  • sg.

  • lol, thats fairly unanimous

  • The SG Classic IMHO is the best offering Gibson has come out with in the last 40 years or so. That Neck is to die for and the pickups are amazing.

You sound really great hwaug btw.

  • what pedals do you use?

  • nice!

  • real good sound!!

  • What year is your SG Classic??

  • Those Gibson SG sound GREAT, EXCELLENT!!!*****

  • Where did you get the background music? Is it a karaoke CD that I can sing too? If so can you tell me what brand (lable) and number that is.

    Thankya, thankya very much

    Elvis

  • Wow ... That sounds great, you're amazing :) Besides, P90's are my favourite pickups by far !

What effects do you use in this video ? Looper+Reverb+Delay ?

  • What strings do you use (if they aren't stock strings)?

  • amazing version of a great song.awesome sound tell me about amp and effects man you using.its stock humbuckers right

  • OK, your video just cost me. I went down and bought a Gibson SG Classic. and I'm a Fender Strat guy. hmmm,,, I don't have a bad monkey pedal. I have an OCD or a TS808, Marshall modern/vintage. By the way what guage strings are you using? Thanks.

  • Love the SG Classic!

I usually use 10s. That JVM sounds sweet btw.

  • It sounds like you're using a Marshall 401 amplifier with a Jeckll and Hyde overdrive pedal. Lucky guess or am I way off? LOL

    Elvis Aggy

  • Way off :)

    B-52 AT112 and Bad Monkey.

  • It is amazing how under rated the Bad Monkey is. It is probably the best sounding Overdrive pedal around, that can compare to the more expensive Ibanez TS9 or TS808. The badmonkey sounds much more warmer and creamier.

I have both Ibanez TS9 and the TS808 from the 80s and I choose the Bad Monkey over both for a nice overdrive tone.

  • What's the name of this song and are you using an overdrive pedal?

    Thanks .

    Elvis Aggy

  • Still got the Blues by Gary Moore I believe

  • Good stuff man. Hypnotyzing.

  • You have to listen Gary! 0.45 co to ma być?

  • nice sound :)

  • Dude my grandpa bought me the same guitar last year it's awesome.

  • You rock! Great guitar skill, and tone right on.

  • wow, nice. Hey, I have this same guitar, but i want to get grover tuners for it cuz i think the plastic deluxe ones are ugly. what ratio size machine heads do i need? like 12:1 or 14:1. i just dont want to buy the wrong size.

  • very nice.......kudos to you........

  • Man............you made a smile on my face !

I was really touched by your playing.

    SG rules

    William "69 standard SG" Waardenburg

    the netherlands

  • who made this song cos i cant find the right tab for it

  • i believe it was gary moore, but this sounds so much like parisian walkways. same key and sound and everything

  • Finally at 4:35 the guitar playing went into another level.

    Nice tone

  • Nice playing man!

  • Comment removed

  • Damn fine playing and great tone.I have two P90 equipped guitars... a 1955 ES125 and a 74 Les Paul Special and neither sound quite as good as your SG through my amp... might have to check into a B52.

  • listen to that noise those pickups have lol

  • Totally gonna mod my SG Sepcial to have P-90's. Best all around pickup, no doubt!

  • I'm starting to like p90s better than humbuckers.

You got some awesome tone man.

  • Actually, I think Angus has never used SGs with P90 pickups. This one won't be as good as humbucker-SG are AC/DC. But I love the sound, it's a shame Gibson doesn't build them anymore.

  • got this guitar secondhand for only$170.00!

    awesome!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Very nice playing indeed.

  • Beautiful playing! I want to get one of those guitars, but I'm afraid it won't be good for AC/DC. Any idea if it is? It seems like an incredible value.

  • dude these guitars are great for acdc, they really help get a good angus tone for songs like ride on and downpayment blues.... they'd be great for u

  • This has P90s though, and they're very different from Humbuckers.

  • i no and im just saying that for songs like ride on, down payment blues, crabsody in blue, night prowler etc... their more bluesy material ur better off with p90s than humbuckers on an sg... and angus has used p90s before

  • Not on a record though. He used an SG Junior in an interview once, and I believe he has a couple.

  • im pretty sure u are right about that but he has definately used p90s live at some point. and he does own a couple

  • No... he hasn't.

  • why is there such a humming?

  • They are P90 pickups. They have 60 hZ hum, like most single coils.

  • i feel that

  • Love the p90s and the playing. GJ.

  • that was amazing i love that guitar and the song perfect combo

  • Nvm, Ill look it up in Ultimateguitardotcom, i thought you made this whole song yourself. but found out its from gary moore

  • Can I have the tabs please?

  • great job

  • Couldnt see your face , it actually was really Garry Moore wasnt it lol. Seriously, that was amazingly good. I have the same guitar, and play a similar style to yourself. Love that string bending melodic stuff. Love my SG, the p 90 s are awsome. What is your reverb, or delay. What gauge of strings do you use. It was a treat to listen.

  • awesome tone! what B-52 model you using?

  • BloodNHonor: dude, YOU ARE GREAT!!! I was thinking of buying the same guitar, but i'm not crazy about the p-90s.

    Change out the pups?

  • B-52 amp. They're pretty underrated.

  • Brilliant.

  • amazing, tone perfect and playing was emmense, you possess so many guitar skills its unbelievable, and you play with great feeling too

  • omg . fucking awesome why are you wasting your time as a network admin go FULL TIME GUITARIST AWESOME SKILLS you have...

  • Haha, thanks. I would, but I have to eat to live.

  • Gotta pay for the sweet gear somehow.

    I agree though, great skills.

  • that was really good!

did you use a effect for that pick-slide? (delay?)that was really cool. great tone! what amp is that?

  • Yeah, I used delay throughout the track.

  • whats that on your hand? The Pick of the Destiny? hahaha regards from Brasil dude. keep on rocking (in a free world.)

  • out of curiosity whats your day job

  • Network administration ;x

  • nice

  • Good job man.. nice blues..

    Rich

  • 'Sup dude, Beau here. Sounds pretty sweet. It looks like the upper fret access is working out better than the Edwards. And most importantly, we have matching colors now. Yay!!!
