I was flying from Midway to Peoria when that storm caused us to divert to a small airport (C09) in between...bad storm! The worst part is the airport had no tie downs for the aircraft! lol

we've been getting great storms like that this summer. but ours don't produce tornados mostly because i'm in south louisiana. so we take hurricanes instead lol

dude it was crazy i like storm it was supposed to storm on sunday but then on monday but it didnt until tuesday but it made itself up as a tornado

I was spotting on the south side of bolingbrook and saw it come in and then minutes later nailed downers grove. It wasn't confirmed at the time but now it think it has that 2 tornados touched down from this storm.

I didn't expect tornado warnings in Chicago, but I was proven wrong last night. As scary as storms are, they are also kind of amazing.

I live in DuPage county right on the boarder of cook. i was sitting in my room when we started getting spurts of rain and strong winds on and off. it was real scary lookin. unfortunately i did have to leave the house during it and wound up driving straight thru the worst of it. lets just say it was a very interesting night.

@korgan5256 i lived in dupage. ( west chicago. ) until 1988. spring/summer was always like this lol. fun if youre a weather nut like i am. downright scary if youre a child or someone who frightens easily

@yamahonkawazuki Haha! Weather nut for life here! Nothing better than a tornado! Funny thing is, when there is a tornado warning they tell you to seek shelter when in reality that's not actually the smartest way to avoid getting hit by a tornado. What I always do it get in my SUV, drive around and find it, then if I feel like it is my life on the line, I put the pedal down and drive as fast as possible to avoid it, it's harder for a tornado to hit a mobile target.
