well, sense we aren't beings with simple existences now that we are smart unlike most living things i say my purpose in life is to go chase after life. after all theirs a big spectrum of possibilities of what to do in this life now that people make it possible here in the developed countries.
Life itself was created by certain entities which you humans are not allowed to see. Some humans do have a purpose on the planet, others are just there. Those with purpose end up creating an event that effect the evolution of mankind while others just simply perish without a trace. Just look back at history and see for your self. As your video showed, purposes in life change as we grow. My purposes grew up with me. When I was 15 my purpose was what most young people answered, to have fun! When I was 25 my purpose was to be the best wife and mother I could be. When I was 35 I sought a career and when I was 45 I just wanted to be a philanthropist. I think the purpose of life is to live it the fullest which means to explore more places in the world, follows your dreams, do lots of new activies, learn new skills, experience different things in the world and also to help the world today so that their can be a better tommorow which means help the environment, stop pointless wars, give money to help people with medical problems and illnesses, help the families in poorer countries, give to the homeless etc.

My purpose in life is to basically share the word of God, not just verbally but through acts of kindness and encouragement. I believe each one of us has a defined purpose in life and shouldn't think twice about whether their life is worth living. It kills me when I hear suicide stories, it's so sad. Here's how i look at it....people who believe in god = idiots who are brought into this world and believe whatever they're told first without looking at anything logically or having an opinion of their own (i can go into a lot more detail with that). and people who don't believe in god = the smart ones.

Or they just couldn't explain what they were seeing, I mean you have to put yourself 3000 years in the past to understand their ways of thinking. I mean if you told them millions of "invisible" creatures were all over them, or that the earth was round they'd probably kill you. The way all people thought back then was extremely simplistic

And I understand where you're coming from with people being raised a certain way and then believing it, but you can't assume all Christians are like that. Take me for example, I'm a Christian but I have looked at things logically and just one of the things I believe strongly is evolution (and there's plenty more) and I face judgment from other Christians for that, but not all of us are ignorant.

Nobody knows what his/her purpose in life is (IF there is such a thing). We are just animals fighting for our survival. But fighting for our survival is NOT our purpose, it is just something that we happen to do, a natural instinct.

The meaning of life is to detach yourself from all want and greed. I'm not getting this from the bible (or the book of bullshit as I call it) but rather one day when I was wondering what must all people do to really fulfill their life. If you rely on your possessions then how will you pass on? You won't you will be incomplete.
