  • still one of my favorite videos. makes me want to just walk out into the wastes and explore

  • Beautiful trailer...

  • Place at 0:22 is beautiful.. to bad it is no more :(

    Maclover

    and thx for upload

  • lol epici wish they put this in the game i would love this it would be so epic i subbed :)

  • @MrMongolion Thanks :)

  • Pretty interesting trailer. Great song!

I think this trailer wasn't used because thematically it seems to emulate Fallout's juxtaposition of light melodic music (i.e., The Inkspots "Set the World on Fire") with a dystopian environment. While there are a few similarities between Borderlands and Fallout they are very different games. It's possible whoever made the decision probably came to the same conclusion and didn't want to create a perception that BL was following in FO's footsteps.

  • beyond epic

  • Anyone know this song?

  • @generalflood Greenfields

  • Loved the song choice . . . but the video could have showed different things in keeping with the theme of the tune. The Trash Coast, Treacher's Landing, Salt Flats. The Borderlands scenery in so depressing and desolate they could've picked more "sad" visuals to contrast the high energy of the "No Heaven" trailer. Just my opinion . . . Awesome game though.

  • wow I am impressed! I have been thinking about buying borderlands for pc just to edit ( i got it for ps3 cause friend had it)

  • They both work-this is kind of the grim inevitability of disappointment and the feeling of desolation Pandora brings, note how the official trailer is more the kind of excitement beforehand... None-the-less this was more an experiment and the story changed pretty fast from what it originally came out as, but in summary: I wouldn't have minded if they used this one too.

  • This is more like a TGS or E3 trailer. Still looks awesome though.

  • I just don't think this would have worked with the art style.

  • Because the game turned out to be..... Better whan it had a more laid back feel.

  • This was amazing :)

  • Song worked...

    The video really didnt

Makes sense why they didn't release it :)

    Still very cool though ^^

  • Awesome! I'm torn between the two though.

Oh, and XD, it's 74, not 64, lol.

  • Really cool, but I don't think it matches with the humor of Borderlands. Im glad that they went with the Cage the Elephant intro. This intro would be better if Borderlands was more serious.

  • In my honest opinion, I loved this intro so much more. Not saying the other was bad, but this one to me just showed the wide open lands of Borderlands, kind of made me want to explore, pulled me in. I really think it should've aired.

  • @TheXPSGamer as did i, but i must agree w/ other people on the fact that this would have been much better if borderlands was more serious
