Cole was so genius in that character that I cannot watch him in any film now, because I see Lumbergh as soon as I see his face. And he made me hate Lumbergh that much. I'm obviously not the only one. My boss at one of my jobs was literally Lumbergh, and when I say literally, I mean figuratively. It wasn't even an office job, but he would actually say, "I'm gonna need you to go ahead and..." and also he would generally explain the most mundane stuff that there was a zero chance of not understanding with a thoroughness that channeled Lumbergh. The best part is that I asked him if he saw the movie and he hadn't.
