  • It's one thing to do a stereotypical valley girl accent...

It's another thing to do a valley girl accent and still sound British.

  • wtf is a chewowaah. >.<

  • like OMG like why like do you like say like so like much.

NO ONE TALKS THAT WAY! are you two completely stupid.

  • I wish Americans were more like this. I'd rather hang with these girls than the American valley girls. These girls would have too much fun trying to be impressionistic that they would be less judgmental of subtle things.

  • no offense but it is bad and u said like waaayy to many times

  • what are you even talking about?

  • this is hilarious. really funny. haha. people should learn to have a little laugh about themselves.

  • Actually, Americans always say "like" all the fucking time. They just don't notice they are saying it. The accent you guys are using is the stereotypical rich teenage girl.

  • FAIL!

  • eww eww eww eww eww!!!!!!! your slaughtering our accent please stop trying! xD

  • shut up u deserve a slap in the face

u r disgusting u suck at american accents just stick to ur tea time and all tht stuff haha

  • you still sound british. no one would believe you were american.

  • Omigwad, like, we are totally not all like valley girls! Like get your facts straight -_-

  • Wow, I have been looking up people doing American accents for a little bit, and almost all of them are SO stereotypical that it's starting to make me sick. Why do people think we say "Like" and "O my Gawd" and things like that. I'll admit I say like a lot, but not everybody does k? Until you come to America you won't know what we really sound like.

  • There's not really that many American accents. Most people sound the same.If I were to leave Florida and go to like Washington or Indiana everyone would sound the same as me.

  • @americanreject42 Florida doesn't have much of an accent. However, New York, Jersey, Boston, Texas, California, New Orleans, among many other places sound completely different. I live in Southern Illinois and people from Chicago think we sound completely different than them. Their are way more accents than you probably realize.

  • when americans portray english people it makes us sound like the queen

  • you suck at american accents. American people do not all sount like that. You sound very ignorant. Btw honey that pearl neclace looks like you're 5 trying on your moms jewlry. :D

  • LOL. that's TOTALLY LIKE our accents. oh my god. ew. totally.

  • Pretty Good Red Neck Accent.

  • this is awsome. i just spent over three minutes watching this vid, and it was like totally worth it. lol

  • this is awsome.

  • u guys seen one too many episodes of clueless

  • Why would anyone want to sound American?

  • your impersonation sounds like a mix between a texan and a whore

  • You don't sound like an American. At all.

  • i live in arizona but my you sound like my friend who's a complete cali girl, haha.

  • It's so sad that most british girls seem to think all americans sound as if we are airheaded valley girls. *sigh* .........we have many other "American" accents besides that one. Try looking up the mid western, or yankee, or southern belle accents. Or if you want to try a more sophisticated American accent, then watch some american news casters.

  • "americans really like their accent" ??? what?

  • oh my gawd, like...we aren't all valley girls!

  • not all americans use like after every fucking word

  • Only dumb blondes talk like this!

  • Excellent. You're both hot babes too! (Fit birds!)

Americans and Canadians are Brits who sailed across the pond and gradually got a weird accent. Look what how it sounded when Brits went down under!

  • its a ditsy cali valley girl accent, its not a general american accent

  • hahaha i would stick to your own accent

  • Have you ladies ever visited Arizona? Because I live in Tucson, Arizona, and I swear, you sound just like the girls here.

  • UGGGHHHH. this is awful.

  • Not too bad.

  • I thought it was pretty convincing! And Ive seen a lot of bad comments on here saying that we're not all like how you demonstrated in your movie, which is true we're not, but I actually read the description before saying anything. So, don't pay attention to the people coming up and saying mean things cuz, chances are, they didn't read the description first!

  • Valley girl accent. Why do all the Britt's think we sound like such dumb sterotypical cheerleaders? :(

  • this so crazy. i bet you guys think your funny, but when i hear you, i just think you sound like us. just like when i mimic a british accent, i do it to make fun of you

  • @FreedomMan420

    Ditto,

Calm down Brits before I throw your tea in the Boston harbor and secede from your crappy Island.

  • duuude, do foreign people think all americans are valley girls? lol cuz we aren't

  • I agree (it's even more annoying because I am actually...from...California, the origins of the valley girl accent..). But, of course, are all people from UK---or even England---posh?

  • so true

  • fail

  • fail mates.

  • Quit saying LIKE?!!!

Godd. We don't say like every five seconds!

    DANGG!

  • ReckfromBX could not have put it any better.

  • Like, yah, these British bimbos have, like, totally only been exposed to the dumb blondes of Hollywood. Keep trying, 'cause you still sound British. Grade: FAIL-

  • Agreed, like, why dont we try to be british and sit around drinking tea and being dumb bitches!!!

  • why do people think an american accent is just saying "like, totally, and OMG" all the time?

  • we dont act like that! and your accents are obviously fake but i have heard worse

  • If you came to America talking like that we would be like " what the fuck"

  • that's the most Vally girl accent i've ever heard.

  • .....valley girl talk..?? not American accent.... why offend Americans?

  • your accents suck. no one talks like that here. seriously, you guys would sound like a bunch of morons if you came here and talked like that. people would look at you and be like woww.

  • That sounds like a valley girl, which is a stereotype. So it's not very good and in your discription you spelled American wrong.

  • Semi-Texan valley girls. Makes a lot of sense.

  • you're accents are awful... haha

btw, most American girls don't talk like that. that would be a stereotype. i'm sure that the "brits have bad hygiene" stereotype is wrong.

    Ever seen Austin Powers movies?

  • @InsaneAssyla Ugly ass teeth? hahahaha.

  • This is a great valley girl accent! I have never heard someone talk like that other than on purpas (i need to spell cheque) but any way it is a perfect valley girl accent.

  • i'm american and i've never met anyone that actually talks with a "valley girl" accent, and if i did i'd think they're literally retarted. no one talks like that

  • Valley xD that is great you guys crack me up. xD you know its impossible to do british valley I tired it was a fail lol. You can't mix accents xD

  • gay stupid pointless wrong offensive.

    way to fail.

  • i know you're trying really hard for the valley girl... but your English accent is still creeping in and it makes you sound new England posh instead of valley girl.

  • I know the 'likes' are valley girl, but every time you say the word like, your British accent sneaks in. Parts of it sound like a southern accent with a bit of new england stuck in there. Practice saying "like" the american way and it'll be much improved as like is used every other word ;-)

  • Better than asking 'you alright?' to everyone you meet. No I had a shitty childhood and I'm generally unhappy most of the time. If you dont really want to know dont fucking ask the question.

  • Americans like their accents???

    They hate their accents!

  • Haha..Actually, there's a girl in my class who says like after possibly every few words. I've had to hold back my laughter sometimes.

  • i'm American, and you said "like" WAY too many times.

  • @dancerlol43 read my reposes to gookla00 just below XD hw many times do we have to repeat. i dotn think people listened to the point of our video haha.

Steriotype!!!! we wanted video resposes back! XD you know, you could be english with a top had and can and say things like toodle pip and 'by joe!!' and eat tea and crumpets and have really bad teeth and go fox hunting for sport!

  • what is with people thinking that saying "like" and "oh my gosh/oh my God" ten times in one sentence makes you sound American...?

you guys sound like ditzy air heads..

not all Americans are 14 year old cheerleaders..

  • we didint say they were, did you not listen to the purpose of why we were doing the video?? firstly, for responses of STERIOTYPICAL English accents. we can take a joke. look ut one of our responses! someone put big glasses on and said english had big bad teetha nd eat tea and crumpets!?? it wouldnt have been very fun if we sounded just liek a normal aemerican! Valley girl is what we did for sterio type! insult us back with a English impression response if you like! we find it funny! god sake!

  • @ANNandKATE (i actually can't even remember what i posted on this video.. ha. and i just noticed this reply). but i guess to a lot of Americans the stereotypical stuff is simply annoying. I don't really want to "insult you back" with an english accent, i'm not really insulted anyway at all. but i guess i can see how it's fun to poke fun at stereotypes...?

  • @ANNandKATE

But just saying omg and like doesn't make an accent. And accent isn't syntax (choice of words) it's how you said the words. You guys sounded like british people saying like and omg a million times.

  • @gookla00 I'm Amercian. I don't find this insulting, I just find it (as the brits would say) utterly and completely mental (A.k.a. really retarded)

  • @kmripl But it's funny when American imitate other countries accents..badly. Right?

    Get over yourselves

  • @gookla00 haa haa you give them more credit then I did they don't sound like any normal American accent I have ever heard a new york/jersey/movie type valley girl all rolled into one quite painful to listen too..

  • @gookla00 thats not just 14 year old cheerleaders... its actually like, alllloooooottttttttt of people.... forrealll..... lol but seriously

  • have they like not seen an american movie since like the 80s that is like so lame.

  • AHHHHHHH!! read reply to gookla00

did no one listen to the point of our video!!!! it owuld not have been fun to do a normal american accent becasue we see it on films. its STERIOTYPICAL!!! Valley girl! we did it becasue we wanted to hear STERIOTYPICAL english accent impressions back! we find it fun. we dont take it personal.

  • your right its all in fun, I like British people and humer and all kidding aside most Americans do as well. So like OMG thats so funny :)

  • I'm from Charleston, SC and pretty much everyone here says "like" and I'm 20. I don't know why everyone else here says we don't say it. But it's not all the time, only like measurements. Instead of saying "about", it's "like" or if someone "said" or "did" something. Examples: "She was like 'I like you' and I was like 'cool'" or "It's like 2 feet" or "It's like 5 o'clock"

  • maybe in NC but in NJ we absolutely do not use "like" after every other sentence. But we do tend to pronounce some letters differently.ex. instead of " it's three o'clock" we say "It's tree o'clock"...but of course it does not apply to everyone

  • I said SC, not NC but i know ppl there who say "like" as well. I also know someone from NJ who says "like" almost as much as i do. haha the "tree" thing i haven't heard, though. my fav accent is the "cwoffee" of boston

  • I like how you think all Americans are valley girls. lol.

  • A couple things that gave you away:

    - The way you say "English" -- most Americans say In-Glish. Not En-Glish.

    - Words with the "aw" sound. You guys said "sidewok" -- most Americans say "side-wawk".

    - YouCHube. You're not trying a Canadian accent, you're trying an American one. And while I may say Chuesday and YouChube, my American counterparts will most likely say Tuesday and YouTube.

    - You sometimes say "loyke" instead of "like".

  • hahaha "eeww"

  • u guys had a combination of georgian south accents and cali/new york. btw ya'll say "bloody hell" all of the time so...

  • We're not a bunch of valley girls.

I'm so sorry we got the good land...poo for you wah

  • I'm from New England and I have to say that the only people who say "like" all the time around here are tweens and teenage girls.

Not bad on the accents, I know that I sound ridiculous when I try to speak in an English accent.

  • i don't hear many americans say "like" and "totally" all the time, and i'm american.

that sounds valley girl. at least where i'm from they don't say it all the time, in all of their, or our, sentences.

  • well from all the videos ive watched americans do infact say "like" very often

  • we dont say "like" all the time like you >.>

  • People saying this is offensive need to get off the internet cause they are way to fucking sensative, no one gives a shit, it's not offensive at all. They're just having fun, Americans make fun of other peoples accent all the time, so when the tables are turned you get offended?

  • wat the crap, i hear English people say oh my god all the time.

  • nope

    not quite there

if you came to america and said like and totally that much people would ask uhh where are you from? lol

    wouldn't blend in very much...

  • Waaaay too valley. Most Americans speak a 'non-regional dialect,' which is a blending of all American accents--Southern (for the record, a Texas accent is entirely different from an Alabama accent, though both are southern), Northern (Wisconsin, Alaska), New England, etc.

But good attempt. :] Just strange sounding..

  • im american...

and i've never heard anyone say "like" or "totally".

but we do say "oh my god"

    haha

  • Seriously? Lol I hear it all the time.

  • English accents are cool

you sound too valley and you can hear the english.

  • What are all you Americans bitching about? I have heard Americans tourists in London say "like" and "oh my god" all the time.

"oh my god, that is like Big Ben, that is like soooo cool"

These girls attempt at an Americans accent might not be that good, be come on there's enough videos of Americans "totally like" killing ours on YouTube

  • As a New Yorker, you guys didn't have too bad of an accent. But, none of us say "like" or "totally". Also, you don't need to exaggerate your vowels. You put too much stress on them. The accent would be perfect if you were in the Western or Southern sections of the country. But, not bad! ;)

  • haha it was funny.

but not all americans say like in all of there sentences.

    only the the idiotic bitches(:

    (not refferrin to you)

to the americanss who talk like that.

    im americana aha

  • Soooo.... the accent itself didn't sound american to me. I did notice you started saying "like" and "oh my god" and exaggerating your vowels more than usual.

Basically you sounded like english girls acting like dumb and bitchy high school girls (and I'm sure you have them in the UK as much as we have them here in the US). BUT the accent itself didn't sound american to me, it sounded english.

  • nobody say like that much. not everybody is a cheerleader. i have never seen a coyote in my life, much less a dead one. but other than that good job...

  • why do people always say "like" and "totally" when copying the american accent?

  • They are about 25 years behind in their American movie collection, I think...

  • are u retarded or what we don't say "like" after every sentence okay so if you want to learn how we really talk then don't try to act like your cool by being insulting towards americans you need and you both need to check yourselves

  • this is offencive. we dont say like 5 times every sentence. and i dont like ur english accent. i would rather french

  • Okay, too valley girl, but that stands out to them I guess: too many from the US think the Brits either sound like the Queen or like Fagan. Jeez. Relax all of you who find the valley girl talk "offensive". and "shallow"...jeeze, get a life. It's just over the top and not that common in the US. By the way MANY teens in the US use "like" waaayyy too much.

These girls should study the more neutral American accent....like most newscasters in the US use.

  • one on the left wins! i think i like ya'll with the british accents better though ;) and you're right british people are weird hahha

  • hahaha NOPE!!!! nobody talks like that......

  • just please know that most of us don't talk with that valley girl accent and say "oh my god" and "like" every other word.

  • like, omg, like, that was totally NOT AMERICAN....THAT WAS VALLEY GIRL: Origin: San Fernando Valley, California!!! NOT EVERYONE HERE TALKS LIKE THAT!!! What you are doing is what comes from the movies. Start talking to more Americans and stop stereotyping please! Analyze, practice and execute is my tip to you. This is not how I talk either, i'm from Pennsylvania, try a Pennsylvania Dutch accent - we don't talk like "Valley Girls"!!!

  • That was offensive. Like others said, that's a Valley Girl, Small-Town Girl accent. Like "Oh my gawd, or "Like that's totally cool!" That's Valley Girl. You should hear NYC accents, the loudest most rude accents of America!

  • wow...all the brits watch valley girl...is that what you think we ALL talk like?? Because we DONT!!! very little people talk like that!! That's bad and pretty offensive!

  • that suck stop it now U CAN'T DO AMERICAN ACCENTS

  • I think valley girl is to America as cockney is to British. the other thinks thats we all speak like that.

  • because every American spits out a sentence like a yappy character from a bad non animated disney movie.

  • haha, wow. so Brits watch valley girl shows and think that's how all Americans talk. That's shallow. There's plenty of people on here that you could watch and get a feel for an American accent.

  • Totally!

  • Every person from england i know naturally does a valley girl accent!!! lol

either that or a hick Texan accent.

These girls are a hybrid. what a wonder.

  • FUNNY!

  • I'm curious as to why people who try to talk with an american accent always try to sound like a dumb valley girl from the mid 80s? Oh well, guess they don't know...just having fun but just know that we have hundreds of different accents in America, not just the dumb shopping mall airhead types

  • please tell me youre saying "like" that much on purpose...

  • WHAT THE FUNCH?!?!?!

  • Oh my god! That was like, really bad!

  • Comment removed

  • wow.. that was terrible... it didn't sound American at all... and we don't fucking say "totally" and "like" and "oh my god" ...thats just rude and stereotypical... no one talks like that

  • If your not from California then don't say nobody talks like a valley girl.Maybe in your states nobody does but here some do.

  • The one on the left is good accent the one on right needs work.I can hear her British.I can talk in 3 British accents and I'm from USA.

  • people think that all english accents in englad is like london-ish

    but its not !

im from yorkshire and i sound soo different to london people

  • this is pretty accurate. You guys should try to do boston accents.

  • are you kidding? that was Terrible! wow you must not be American...or if you are your just trying to be nice... because it sucked...

  • that's like soOoOoOo california!

ya'll should try a florida accent.

  • You guys don't even sond Like us

i can DO AN AWESOME BRITISH ACSENT so good u would think i wasa from there

  • haha that's so trippy. i always wondered if english people joked around with american accents like we joke around with british accents.

  • Oh my gosh. I love it! It's too bad so many people are offended by it. It sounds American to me and I'm American. Although, most teenagers say "like" even more. It's scary! The word has no meaning anymore...

  • wtf nobody talks like that, ANYWHERE in the us. and btw people on the west coast dont talk "valley girl" you damn people are so ignorant!

  • I'm from California and your completely wrong.Quite a few talk like that.

  • yeah, admitted: the surf scene does sound like that. or just some dumb girls-- kind of like bryan's girlfriend in family guy, where everything is said in a reflective question sort of way... lol

  • Damn Paris Hilton to Hell for making us all look blundering, superficial idiots.

  • wow xxdakxx, so-cal people dont even talk like that anymore

  • lol yeah epic fail. but hey, i can't do the musical british accent. i'm from wis. and um we don't say "like" that much. we say "dude" and "y'all" and "what/huh?" a lot

  • wow this video urkes my soul

  • wow hahah ur accent is so bad! hahah

  • I'm not insulted at all....but like only like valley girls talk like like that. you guys probably dont know what "valley girls" are. theyre girls like paris hilton frm california. nice try... i can still seek out the british in your "accent" though.

    worth applause, worth applause

  • like omg like we dont like say like like all the time like omg lol

  • Ha ha only valley girls talk like that.

    Very over done.

We don't say "like" that much.

You guys did alright, but I can still

hear your a hint of your English accent.

  • we wouldnt say quite cute we would say very cute losers

  • I'm amused by this but we Americans don't say 'Like' and 'Oh my god' all the time.

This is the average stereotype of Americans.

  • The only problem is, this is a very specific Southern-California accent and it doesn't sound natural mainly because if any American heard you they would think you were doing a cartoon caricature of a couple of 1980's Valley Girls. I think you get too much Access Hollywood on TV over there.

  • ahah

    ehhhh

not very good, but you know. lol

you could pass as texans. maybe a mix of texans and californians.

  • ur not even close

an american accent isnt just adding like and totally to ur vocabulary u have to get the a's right

    but nice try!

    :D

  • The girl on the left was very good. Too bad the girl on the right wouldn't let you talk.

It probably would be better if you just read something from a book. Seeing as it's usually only girls in high school who talk that way. "Like like like ohmigod!"

  • I'm not even American and I find this insulting to anybody living in North America

  • Are you trying to be insulting?

  • you guys sound like your from the

    Valley in California

  • that was pretty stereotypical. most of the americans i know HATE people who talk like that so you're allmost imitating the lowest form of americans. and tip we dont really say quite that much, and it might be better if you sounded intelligent.

  • continued--- it sounded so strange to me. I don't know why just the one word would sound so strange, but it did.) When you said 'coffee', it sounded more New York, but most of the time you sounded Californian, with some occasional southern vowels. But hey-- I know Americans tend to mix different British accents together whenever we try.

All in all, you did pretty well. Keep practicing and you may soon be able to fool real Yanks.

  • The one on the left was better, but you both did all right. It sounded like you were trying to cram in as many American words as you could at one point. You had some mistakes, though. I didn't even recognise the word 'coyote' when you first said it-- around here it's pronounced 'kai-oat'. And I've never heard an American pronounce chihuahua that way. And your pronunciation of 'squirrel' sounded too forced (the first time i heard the British pronunciation-- continued

  • Haha, couldn't pass for natves. Not all americans sound like that. Actually, hardly anyone does. HAHAHAHA. Try again.

  • you two sounds like valley girls, not america as a whole at all.

  • The girl on the right just sounds like she's Australian

  • it would be good if you stop saying like and totally al the time we dont

  • I think people get there most impressions of other accents from TV and movies. So that what most people go by. I dated an Australian girl once and the longer I talked and spent time with her the less and less I heard the accent, though I still heard it. I got use to it. But if we were out other people would keen into real fast and ask where she was from.

  • Try doing a normal american accent. Jesus, no one says "like" every two seconds.

  • It sounded convincing but it would have helped if you introduced the video in your normal accent so we could tell the difference.

  • guys, stop giving them a hard time about saying "oh my god" and "like"

when you're british and you attempt an american accent, you automatically start to talk like that whether you like it or not. It's not labelling all american's, jeez, it's just an automatic thing.

like, if someone asked american's to imitate an english one, you guys would probably start talking all posh and proper even though nobody in britain talks like that.

it doesn't mean they're making fun of you. chill.

  • girl in the blue's goood

  • the girl in the blue has a good american accent. The other one is trying too hard. Everyone thinks all americans talk like preppy cheerleaders...they dont. lol

  • Americans don't say "Oh my God" and "like" a billion times in one paragraph.

PS. Have a merry tea time with her majesty. Pip pip, jolly good. (Stereotypes don't work lol)

  • It's weird how EVERY single english person imitating an american accent chooses the whole stuck-up cheerleader chick to imitate. But, when we imitate the english accent we always go for the tea and crumpets bit :p I guess neither of us really know the other culture that well :p

  • haha i'm american and i don't talk like this. but i think you girls are pretty funny.
